Chapter 1113 - 1093: Contractual Marriage!

Chapter 1113: Chapter 1093: Contractual Marriage!

"No, not yet!"

Willy Smith nodded somewhat disappointedly, "If you set your heart on finding someone, you will definitely find the right partner for a contractual marriage. Keep looking!"

"What more is there to look for, me!"

Nana Jensen almost screamed, "We’ve known each other since we were kids, know everything about each other, there’s no need for reservations, and there’s nothing to worry about. You’re being forced into marriage, and so am I. Neither of us wants a blind date. We have the same goal, don’t we!"

Nana Jensen was probably too excited because ever since she had returned to the country, she had been oppressed by the whole blind dating issue, which felt incredibly burdensome. Now, this news was undoubtedly like a light at the end of the tunnel after a bloody battle. How could she not be excited!

A contractual marriage might sound absurd, and she wasn’t usually brave enough to do such foolish things, but if it were with Willy Smith, she felt brave, for he was indeed a reliable person!

"You?"

Upon hearing this, Willy Smith frowned slightly, then spoke, "Are you sure?"

After these words came out, Willy Smith’s heart sank again. Such decisions were impulsive; agreeing could happen in an instant, and so could regret.

"Of course, as long as you don’t mind that your partner is older than you, I have no problem with it, and I think our parents won’t have any issues either!"

Hearing the words "I am older than you," Willy Smith instinctively felt as if he were being considered too young.

"We are of the same age, just a few years doesn’t count as younger!"

Nana Jensen: "..."

Just as Nana Jensen didn’t know what to say, Lina Miller’s call came in: "Mom, what’s up?"

"Nora, where are you?"

The voice on the other end, Lina Miller’s, sounded tense, "Why aren’t you home yet?"

"I’m on a blind date!"

"Who are you fooling? You botched up the blind date, they just called!"

Damn it, Nana Jensen, who usually disliked swearing, couldn’t help cursing in her head. How could there be such people, going on a blind date and then calling home? What was the meaning of this?

"Mom, I really am at the blind date spot, just with a different person!"

Nana Jensen nodded at Willy Smith, signaling that she was about to share the suggestion they had just discussed. Willy Smith nodded indifferently, and his heart, which had been hanging by a thread, finally settled. Being trusted by the person he liked was indeed a beautiful thing.

"I’m currently on a blind date with John!"

"Ah, you’re not lying to me?"

Lina Miller instinctively raised her voice, "Is John the man Sam Taylor mentioned, the one who paid the bill for you?"

Lina Miller instinctively thought of the phone call from Sam Taylor’s aunt, who complained that her daughter was getting meals paid for her by someone else, and yet still going out on blind dates. She had thought at first that Nana Jensen had created the situation deliberately because she was dissatisfied with the man.

"Yes, the person I was supposed to blind date with wanted to split the bill, and I just so happened to forget my wallet. I ran into John, so he paid for me!"

Nana Jensen didn’t even need to ask to know that the man had bad-mouthed her to her mother, "He was also on a blind date, which also didn’t turn out well, so we thought we might as well just date each other. I’ll be home later!"

Lina Miller: "..."

Willy Smith and her little Nora?

This hardly seemed likely...but it could be a perfect match.

"All right, all right, you date your way. Sometimes it’s like this, you never think in that direction from childhood, but once you start, it turns out quite right!"

As soon as Lina Miller heard that Nana Jensen was with Willy Smith, her mood instantly improved, "Then you go on a good blind date with John, and Mom won’t arrange another blind date for you tomorrow!"

The last part, Nana Jensen practically moved the phone away so that Willy Smith could hear it too.

After hanging up, Nana Jensen helplessly shook her head, "Looking at it this way, to keep our parents from worrying and to avoid endless blind dates, a contractual marriage seems to be the best solution!"

"I think it’s a good idea. Auntie Miller is considered gentle. My mom and my grandma wouldn’t even let me in the house!"

Willy Smith smiled faintly, lightly complaining about the troubles of forced marriage. It really seemed to be the case, and so Nana Jensen unwittingly fell right into the trap he had set.

"Alas, we really are fellows in misery!"

Nana Jensen then helplessly sighed heavily, oblivious to the fact that she had already jumped into the trap, "If you have no objections, shall we just go ahead with it?"

"I have no objections. I was actually looking for someone like this!"

Willy Smith spread his hands, indicating he had absolutely no objections, "Do you have any? Do we need a contract? Since you are a girl, on this matter..."

"What’s there to contract about? A verbal agreement will suffice. I’ve watched you grow up; don’t I know your character? No need for a contract since we’re practically family!"

Willy Smith: "..."

After so many years, hearing the phrase ’I’ve watched you grow up’ still occasionally caused Willy Smith a deep pain. He didn’t want to be seen by her as a little brother, but as a real man!

"Okay, I have no problems. Considering respect for the lady, I’ll leave this matter to you!"

"Well then, let’s register our marriage first, and we won’t have the wedding just yet. That way, neither set of parents will force us to go on blind dates, and if it’s a covert marriage, it won’t stop you from pursuing the girl you like, right?"

"The girl I like?"

Willy Smith unconsciously bit on those words, then added, "Do you have any boys you need to chase after?"

Even though he knew she did, Willy Smith still shamelessly asked.

But the answer...

"No!"

The person she liked was already someone else’s father, so of course not. Nana Jensen was quite certain of that, "If I do meet someone in the future, I’ll definitely tell you!"

"What if you don’t meet anyone?"

Almost instinctively, Willy Smith asked back, his heart uncontrollably thrilled, his voice getting louder.

"If I don’t meet anyone, so be it. Rest assured, if you find a girl you like, just tell me. I guarantee I’ll divorce you in minutes and prove your innocence!"

Willy Smith: "..."

Was that what he meant?

He wanted the act to become real!

Forget it, future matters can wait. First, getting under the same roof would make things easier!

After agreeing on their plan, Willy Smith took the opportunity to drive Nana Jensen home. When Lina Miller saw Willy Smith, her face beamed with a smile that hadn’t been seen in centuries, "John, is Nora really on a blind date with you? I thought this girl was fooling me again!"

"Yes, Auntie, our blind date went very smoothly, so we’ve decided to pick a day to get married soon!"

Lina Miller: "..."

So soon?
