Chapter 1003: Chapter 983: A Drunken Nana Jensen!

She had never seen anyone scorn the inability to get drunk before, and the girl across from her looked somewhat surprised. It was quite evident that Nana Jensen’s mood wasn’t very good, as she casually handed her another cocktail, "Try this one, ’Pretty in Pink’, just made by the best man team!"

In the glass, the pink liquid shimmered and glistened, stunningly beautiful, making Nana Jensen swallow her saliva involuntarily. After a short three-second struggle in her mind, she still reached out and took the drink from the woman’s hand.

She had already had one drink earlier and nothing had happened, so having another one now shouldn’t be a problem, right?

The woman opposite her found Nana Jensen’s careful examination of the cocktail adorable. Naturally, everyone knew who the most beautiful bridesmaid was after an entire day, "If you’re worried about getting drunk, just sip it a little!"

If Miss Jensen got drunk, whether the day would go well or not was unnecessary to say; everyone understood the implication!

So the woman across gave a very sensible suggestion.

"Alright then!"

Nana Jensen nodded her head, picked up the wine glass and intended to sip just a taste, but as soon as her tongue got a hint of the flavor, it was entwined by the faint aroma and sweetness of the alcohol, tempting her to taste a little more, yet...

"Nora, you can’t drink!!"

Before she could take a second sip, a scolding voice from behind her stopped her in her tracks. It was the familiar voice of the boy who had been disdainful of her during the card games, asking for kisses as punishment for losing! Without even turning around, Nana Jensen knew it was him.

Somehow, hearing his voice made Nana Jensen feel inexplicably aggrieved, and as that sour, astringent feeling welled up in her heart, her head grew hot, and she lost control of her emotions. Decisively, she tilted her head back and drained the drink that she had originally intended to sip lightly.

"Nora!!"

Willy Smith watched in dismay as the woman downed the entire cocktail in one go, too late to stop her. Although Willy Smith didn’t drink, the Gordon family’s business spanned various industries, and Sienna Harrison always held high expectations for him. From a young age, he was trained in various ways, so he could tell what kind of drink Nana Jensen was having from a distance.

"What, you want to control whether I drink too? Who are you to me?"

Nana Jensen turned and looked at him coldly, but why she asked such a question was a mystery even to herself. Seeing him just made her inexplicably angry, and she couldn’t figure out why.

"Nora, you’re still young, you can’t drink!"

"I’m not young anymore, you’re the young one!"

Without much thought, Nana Jensen retorted immediately. It was an offhand remark for her, but for the listener, it took on a different meaning. To Willy Smith, her words sounded like an entirely different message.

Willy Smith was completely taken aback. Deep in his heart, it felt as if he had been stabbed, causing a pain that almost left him breathless. He had never wished to be younger than her, but that was the reality. If possible, he would rather have been born several months prematurely than be younger than her.

But there was no choice to be had!

"Nora, you can’t drink today!"

Despite that, Willy Smith still grabbed the wine glass from her hand and began pulling her outside, "Sorry, Sister Bianca is looking for her, I’ll take her away!"

"Mr. Smith, please!"

With Willy Smith’s face, virtually every woman, young or old, would recognize him—it was that memorable, particularly his clear and elegantly handsome aura. Just one look, and it was hard to forget him, even more impressive than Jaysen Smith in his younger days.

Nana Jensen’s hand was being held by Willy Smith, who wouldn’t let go no matter how much she tried to shake it off, dragging her all the way to the lounge, with no intention of releasing her.

"Willy Smith, what gives you the right to control me, who told you I can’t drink today? A bridesmaid who doesn’t drink, what kind of bridesmaid is that?"

Nana Jensen didn’t even know why she was so angry, it was the first time she had ever lost her temper like this, and her target was Willy Smith. She couldn’t understand why she, as an older sister, was so furious with her younger brother.

But she couldn’t control herself!

Maybe it was because he had embarrassed her in front of everyone earlier. When had she become so petty?

"You shouldn’t drink today, and it has nothing to do with whether you’re a bridesmaid or not!"

As he spoke, Willy Smith’s face suddenly turned red, "Because, because... you... that, that thing!"

After hesitating for a long time, Willy Smith still couldn’t muster the courage to say such a thing!

"What thing, what thing, Willy Smith, can’t you just be a man about it? Not decisive at all!"

"That thing..." Willy Smith still clenched his teeth hard, shut his eyes, and couldn’t help but blurt it out, "It seems like you’re on your period, so, the alcohol... never mind, you’ve already drunk it, I’ll go make you some hangover tea, just wait here!"

After finishing, Willy Smith didn’t wait for Nana Jensen to speak and turned around to leave the lounge, leaving her standing there dumbfounded. Her mind was totally blank—she was indeed on her period, which had come suddenly in the afternoon. But how did he know?

Nana Jensen’s first instinct was to check her skirt. However, her skirt was intact, pure and spotless, without a single trace. How did he know?

Nana Jensen really wanted to curse herself for being so careless; when had she ever been this negligent?

And now, she had lost face in front of this young man who looked down on her!

The first thing that came to Nana Jensen’s mind when she recovered was to run, but as she stood up from the sofa, her head felt heavy and she experienced a feeling of lightheadedness. The moment she stepped onto the floor, she felt faint and found herself unable to muster any strength.

Then her cheeks started to feel hot, and after barely taking a small step, she stumbled and fell back onto the sofa. Then the ceiling started spinning above her head...

"Mom, my head is spinning so badly!!"

Nana Jensen instinctively called out for Lina Miller, but the response came from another voice, "Auntie Miller is already resting. I got you a pot of hangover tea from the kitchen. Drink some and you won’t feel dizzy after a while. This cocktail is strong and can easily make one drunk!"

"I’m not drunk; I don’t want hangover tea!"

Seeing the man sitting down beside her with the hangover tea, Nana Jensen recalled how he said she couldn’t kiss him, thinking he must have a girl he liked in his heart. Instinctively, she took a step back, "You go rest, I’m fine!"

"Nora, how can I rest when you’re like this!"

He couldn’t understand why she would go drink, "Drink the hangover tea first. If you really find me annoying, I’ll leave!"
