Chapter 383: Returning (7)
[Salted Fish Temporary Camp]
While guarding the entrance, the ladies and Elga heard a sound from the distance.
"What was that? Did you hear it too?" Xiang’er looked at the girls.
"I heard it. It was mixed with monster roars and someone people shouting." Basi Susu nodded.
Glen had developed a sharper hearing due to his archer class and he immediately confirmed Su Su’s words were true, "They should be nearby, about 300 meters to the west."
The assassin who had been silent all awhile also bobbed his head.
"Should we help, Instructor?"
Elga who was growing mold from staring until the morning, decided to go and take a look. She grabbed her twin axe and stretched her limbs, "I’ll handle it, wait here!"
"Wait, instructor! I’ll come with you."
Bai Susu took out a vial and gave it to Elga. "It is a paralysis poison Territory Manager gave."
Elga stuck it inside her golden-grade armor.
The others also wanted to go but because the security in the Camp will be lax, they could only stay. The girls eyes Susu enviously.
Bai Susu who got an opportunity to release stress, grabbed her spear tightly and was ready to kick some butts...I mean help people!
The two rushed towards the source of the sounds which is in the new Forbidden Zone and saw a group of injured players and natives being besieged by more than 20 monsters looking like blue monkeys riding 6-feet bisons.
These people were initially overjoyed when their calls for help was answered but when they saw only two girls had come and one of them was even a child, the shadow of despair was cast on their faces.
Those who can’t bear to see another two get injured quickly shouted, "Go, leave this place!"
But the two girls didn’t pay heed and dashed towards the monsters.
Are they insane?! Those are level 5 to 8 monsters with their numbers are close to 30 and they still chose to attack ?!
They thought they would see the two girls being killed but the scene unfolding before them was different.
The two girls easily killed the monkeys and the bisons with one swing of their spear and axe and they even had the time to argue!
"Instructor, that was my prey! You just snatch it!"
"It’s not my fault you’re slow and how dare you talk to me! Do you want to run 50 laps?!"
Bai Susu clamped her mouth shut.
With every monsters being killed, the injured players and natives regained hope. They were grateful for the girls’ help.
Using their remaining strength and mana, they helped in killing the remaining monsters.
Elga and Bai Susu looked at the people behind and gave thumbs up in their hearts.
After settling the matter, the two picked up the loots. None of the injured players and natives dared to say anything because they were already very weak and was on the verge of collapse.
But they still gave their thanks to Elga and Bai Susu.
They originally had a territory but the problem was, it was besieged by monkeys, reducing them to refugees. Their numbers were around 40 but some were killed when they were on the run and eventually only 29 remained.
Elga looked at them before deciding, "We have a camp nearby. You can follow if you want."
Bai Susu glanced at the refugees who seemed to thirsty judging from their parched lips and set up a small table, "I can exchange water and food for copper coins."
"Young lady, you’re not bluffing, are you?" The previous territory landowner stared at Bai Susu.
Copper coins for water and food?
That’s too good to be real!
The others also thought that Bai Susu was just bluffing.
"If you don’t want then, then forget it." Bai Susu returned the table in her inventory.
"Wait! Wait! I’ll buy Miss!" The previous landowner quickly walked towards Susu and gave all his 480 copper coins. "How many can I get?"
"Do you want water or food? I have bread and biscuits too. There are noodles but you’ll have to boil water yourself."
They looked at the bottles of water and food being placed on the table and swallowed their saliva.
The others who can’t endure thirst anymore, went to line up behind their previous landowner and quickly fished out their copper coins.
And Bai Susu started her business....
After twenty minutes, they returned to the camp.

Chunhua opened her eyes and was astonished to see Haoran lying beside her, sleeping. The distance between them was only one foot and they were facing each other.
She could see his face up close.
Eh?
She blinked and pinched herself wondering if this was a dream.
Suddenly, the man’s lips bent into a shallow smile, detecting her gaze.
"What are you staring at?" Haoran asked, his voice brimming with amusement before he opened his eyes, catching Chunhua off guard.
Chunhua sat up and quickly said after averting her eyes and checking if she had a drool on the corner of her mouth, "Nothing."
"When did you come back?" She hurriedly said.
Haoran sat up and replied, staring at the girl’s cheeks that suddenly had a tinge of blush, "Just half an hour ago." The smile on his lips deepened.
He’s been sleeping near her for almost half an hour?!
Chunhua’s eyes secretly inspected Haoran and when she saw no wounds, no bruises, and no bite marks, she was relieved.
After all, she was quite wild when she’s asleep.
Little Mantou almost got bald back then and Little Ginseng was also traumatized.
A stack of paper appeared in Haoran’s hand which he gave to Chunhua, "For you. I have my own copy."
Chunhu’s eyeballs almost popped out of their sockets.
How did he get his hands on these?!
"Master, it’s lunch time!"
Fortunately, Siri was there to save dumpling from melting from embarrassment completely. Chunhua hid the picture in her inventory.
"Coming!"
Haoran watched Chunhua flee from embarrassment.
For some reason, watching his Xiao Hua blushing over a tease makes him very happy.
