Chapter 345: Another Fishy Smell

[Radiation Belt, Space Station no. XX]

Amidst of the billions of small chunks of ice and rock floating due to the gravitational force and orbiting around the Main Game Planet, the roaring engines coming from the plethora of space ships of different sizes and designs, there was one that stood like a sore thumb and had a length of 700 meters length, 300 meters wide, and 20 meters in height.

It has an irregular dome on top and has massive structure, with its [Manoeuvring Thrusters] and [Drivers] protruding the sides adjacent to the [Engine Rooms] akin to leg appendages, and the red [Forcefield] covering the ship like a second skin to protect the passengers from space radiation, harmful rays and enemies attacks to some extent made the ship resembled a ladybug.

It was named [Oriliegh Mothership], after the names of the present rulers of the Halfling Kingdom, King Oridal and Queen Reliegh. It was built from the incomplete battleship blueprint Limnad made when he was serving as the Defense Minister and further improved by the present administration.

The main hull was divided into several area such as [Weapon room], [Storage room], [Crew decks or Cabins] used as living quarters, and the [Cockpit] or the [Control Room] equivalent to ’bridge’ of the ships.

Just ten meters from the rows of metals seat in the cockpit, approximately at the center of the room, surrounded by circular railings was two grandiosely decorated silver chairs embedded with red bloodmoon ores on its arm rests, splat, and two-meter spikes attached to the top rails.

The sizes of these chairs were bigger than the rest indicating they belonged to someone of higher position.

Currently the control room of the Orieliegh Mothership were occupied by Halflings wearing grey uniforms were heavily monitoring the situation of the barrier around the Main Game Planet.

A slit formed on the left of the control room where the hatch is located and it slid to the side letting a group of Halflings entered.

Two of the Halflings walked towards the chairs in the center while the rest occupied the ones near the large glass. These two looked like a couple and were wearing bright clothes of flamboyant styles with the texture blended in between silk and leather. They were wearing silver crown on top of their heads and these were Queen Releigh and King Oridal.

The Halflings that came with these two reported the progress of the negotiation.

"At least 65% of the negotiation was a success. We got the Breton, Argonian, Khajiit, Gnomes, Orcs, Trolls, Eidolon, Hypello, Ronos..." The attendant reported while holding the transparent palm-sized electronic device which displayed contents and list in unknown language.

King Oridal leaned closer to his wife while listening to the attendant’s report, "I don’t understand why we have to pull all those insignificant races in this plan when they bring no benefit to us." His voice sound so haughty and clearly irritated as if those races mentioned were beneath were in fact most of these were more prosperous from them.

The queen listened to the King’s complaints and dismissed the attendant, "I got it. Bring us the seer."

The attendant respectfully bowed his head before leaving and heading towards the luxurious and most spacious cabin where the distinguished seer was resting.

When the attendant left, Queen Reliegh gently patted the King’s hand and explained. "Think about it, if we are the only ones to extract the resources inside, we will be the main target of those from the upper races and the middle races as well, but if we invite the middle races in, then we reduce the number of threats. At the same time, the attention will be divided and we can use them as distraction." It’s like killing two birds with one stone.

The King processed his wife’s words and thought it made sense and reasonable. She is right indeed. "Then, are you really sure that what the Wizard’s claim is true?"

Queen Reliegh looked at the King before looking at the green and blue planet ahead. In just a few hours, that planet and everything treasure inside it will be ours. Her heart raced at the pleasant thoughts.

[Divination Wizard] although an inferior class than [Seer], it’s an evolution path from cleric and mage, a very rare class that only a few hundreds among the decillion of life forms scattered in vast galaxies possessed.

And everywhere they went they would be treated with respect and the Halfling race was blessed with an opportunity to save one a year ago being attack by space pirate.

To compensate them, the [Divination Wizard] decided to conduct a future reading of their fates that ultimately led them here. Their hearts burned with excitement upon thinking of all those treasures buried somewhere in the planet. With those in hand, their race will have the opportunity to advance.

The hatch opened and two figures entered the control room, one was the attendant ago and the other one was tall humanoid creature that resembled the elf but his skin was tanner and there was a golden crescent moon marking on his forehead.

His eyes were covered with a white strip of gauge and he was wearing a long white robe with golden linings that draped over his body from the neck to the feet and coupled with his smile and warm as the summer breeze, others would have thought he was of gentle disposition.

But if Baozi was here, she would have said, ’He reeks of the same fishy smell as the system’.

[Energy Crystal Island]

"It’s [Rapid Fire]. The initial skill of a Gunslinger, a subclass under Archery that allows someone to fire around 3-5 shots every second which lasted for 3 rounds and has CD of 15-20 seconds." Triton stated, browsing through his memories. It’s just, how did Limnad end up in his world?

The foodie crew clinging on Chunhua’s robes and hairs looked at the shining projectiles hurtling towards their Master and Handsome Brother.

"Master!"

"Ji ji ji!"

"Kya!"

"Chirp Chirp!"

They quickly alerted the two.

Chunhua and Haoran also sensed the attacks. Knowing they can’t outrun the projectiles, the two had a tacit cooperation.

Haoran took out his pan on time to shield the attacks. Chunhua held Haoran’s shoulder and the pan in case he gets knockback.
