The other side launched another wave of attack.

Chunhua saw the trajectory of water vapor bullets. The other side after realizing it couldn’t penetrate Chunhua’s defense switched its focus on the rock.

Chunhua quickly leapt to another one and the attacks followed her whenever she goes leading to the numbers of floating rocks dwindling.

Too bad, they weren’t capable of piecing back together.

If those were gone, she won’t be able to go back to the entrance after getting the trident.

Realizing the other side’s plan, Chunhua quickly went to secure her path of retreat.

The two competed in terms of speed and Chunhua won the round saving more than 50% of the floating steps and reducing her distance to trident by another 100 meters.

She wasted not a single second, taking advantage of the time before the ice completely melts to reach the trident.

The enemy hidden from plain sight saw her figure getting closer and was displeased.

Halfway, Chunhua’s instinct sensed danger on her right, dodging the enemy’s blade on time.

She saw the silhouette dressed in dark blue robe and counterattacked with a punch to the stomach but her knuckle only strike air.

Chunhua leaned back. The bangle in her hand turned to spear and she blocked the scimitars using its body.

The enemy was taken aback by the sudden materialization of the weapon and how the Chunhua was able to defend that.

It tried to exert more strength but Chunhua was able to hold her ground and didn’t budge an inch.

Chunhua tried to sweep her opponent’s feet using her right leg but it again disappeared, turning into a blue mist and reappeared standing the previous spot. Half of its attention was on her spear now.

Chunhua remembered her earlier punch and eventually understood how it managed to dodge.

The opponent once again vanished and blue mist surrounded Chunhua.

The two engaged a few more rounds. The sounds of weapons clashing with each other reverberated in the lava room. Both shuttled back and forth on the floating icy rocks as the fight get neck to neck.

Chunhua’s cloaked opponent always swung at cunning angles and was good at feints and tricky shots using both close and long ranged combat.

And with two blades on its hand Chunhua had to divide her attention. She had to admit she was not good at fighting and mainly relied on her abnormal speed, strength, defense, her skills and her energy armor.

The good thing, her opponent wasn’t able to push her back but the most frustrating thing about this much was the other side’s ability to alter the part of its body, making her attacks achieved 0% hit rate.

Suddenly, the blue mist assassin had a slip. Chunhua used the opportunity, rushed and thrust her spear forward but stopped midway as the figure turned to a blob of water.

She immediately flipped in the air missing scimitar that wanted to hurt her from behind. She surmised it should be the mirroring skill from the scimitar, a downgrade version of a cloning technique.

The opponent chased her and exchanged a few more blows.
