Chapter 124: Martial Aunt Elga learns her lesson (2)
"Handsome brother! The monster is almost here! Please let us go!"
"We will be burned or stomped to death! Please, please, have conscience."
Long Haoran’s brushed over their forms. The memories of their suspicious behavior resurfaced in his mind. He took out his dagger. "I’ll set you free, but each of you must split up and run in different directions. I will take the west." This way, he will have some time to escape.
Long Haoran’s request wasn’t too much, and the four nodded immediately, although each had cunning thoughts.
The moment the ropes were cut, Serbi summoned his dagger and tried to stab Long Haoran, but the latter was already prepared, and a damaged pan smashed Serbi’s face, leaving a clear red mark on another person’s face.
Frying Pan: My heart is tired and aching.
Long Haoran was distracted for a second before he inflicted slashed wounds on Serbi’s thighs.
Serbi gritted his teeth.
"Moo!" The boss roared once again, making everyone’s heart thump.
The other tree looked at Serbi and the fast-approaching boss before running, leaving the bleeding Serbi limping.
"Don’t leave me!" Serbi shouted, but the three didn’t even turn their heads.
Long Haoran only coldly looked at them before heading in the direction of the salted fish territory.
"Where is that fake old witch?" Loli Elga was stunned when she noticed Li Chunhua gone. A burst of flames reached her legs, leaving burn marks. She hissed in pain and changed into a pixie. The boss, losing its primary target, stomped the ground in utter fury, creating countless tremors.
It was not until Li Chunhua was three miles away that she stopped running and checked on her lackey chef.
"This should be safe enough...eh?" Li Chunhua looked around and couldn’t find her cook. It took a few seconds to realize what happened.
Alarm bells rang in her head before she sprinted back.
She’s so stupid! Chef Long, guy, hold on! I’m coming!
The five were still within the edge of the skill’s range, and their health points dropped by hundreds in a matter of seconds. Two of the four campers were in danger.
Fissures in the ground appeared, and the trees swayed before falling.
Long Haoran stabilized his footing and dodged them.
Unfortunately, the other four weren’t so lucky and got trampled by the trees. Blood seeped from their wounds, and the Hellfire Bull’s eyes became redder. It lifted its hooves and charged towards the source of the bloody scents.
Wails of anguish soon echoed in the partly burning forest and entered Long Haoran’s ears. His eyelashes trembled.
Elga, who was flying in the same direction as Long Haoran, also heard it and shuddered.
Long Haoran glanced at the path ahead. Because of the earthquake, the way had become harder to run with all the broken trees serving as obstacles, and there were also newbie monsters popping up and lunging themselves at him.
Long Haoran spared some of his time eliminating these pests. The blood of the monsters splashed everywhere, and it didn’t take long enough for the big bull to locate him.
And when it saw another human escaping, it raised its hooves and charged, bending its head to aim its horn at his prey with its crazed look.
Long Haoran could feel the hot temperature fanning his back and spun his neck around.
"Moo!" The big bull snorted. Hot fumes escaped from its nostrils.
Long Haoran looked around, saw the huge rock formation, and changed direction. He knew he couldn’t outrun this monster anymore and led the monster to it.
The tips of the horns penetrated the rocks. Long Haoran dove and rolled from under the big bull before rushing to another track where there’s no fire. Debris flew and crashed into the trees.
The boss yanked its horns off the rock wall and roared.
[Rampaging Hooves is activated.]
Long Haoran’s speed was reduced, and he couldn’t continue running, with the ground trembling and trees threatening to crash into him.
The boss rushed towards the audacious, two-legged creature. "Moo!"
Knowing it was unavoidable, Long Haoran quickly turned around and summoned his frying pan.
[Skill Smash everything to smithereens activated.]
The frying pan was enlarged to the size of a bungalow, stunning the big bull. It was too late to stop in its tracks, and the side of its face was smacked by a heavy force. It suffered damage of [-1000] and was enraged.
But Long Haoran, in return, was sent flying from the impact. His back hit a tree.
Loli Elga could see the silver shadow of the pan amongst the fallen trees, and it struck her with familiarity. No way!
[-250]
[HP: 150/500]
[Skill Smashed Everything to Smithereens] can only produce a quarter of the effect. Please repair the item.]
Long Haoran’s eyes slightly widened. His lips quivered. Despite the pain that erupted all over his body, he stood up because the boss was ramming at him again.
He raised his frying pan to block its charge.
The boss’ horn clashed with the metal, leaving not a scratch, but Long Haoran’s body flew into an arc, slamming another tree. He vomited blood.
[-100]
It was this time that Loli Elga spotted her master’s form, and her heart skipped a beat.
"Moo!"
"Master!" Loli Elga took out her axe and swung it towards the bull’s stomach, but her attack only caused it 100. The bull ignored the little pixie and opened its mouth to swallow Long Haoran.
Long Haoran’s tried to get up, but his legs wouldn’t cooperate.
Elga abandoned its axe, flew in front of Long Haoran, and spread her arms. "Leave my Master alone!"
Long Haoran suppressed the blood rising from his throat and weakly shouted at Elga, "Quickly go!" A pendant appeared on his hand.
Elga cried and refused, "No. It was my fault! I shouldn’t lure it here." Because of her, Master will die.
Long Haoran heard her confession. He was both angry and conflicted at the same time. "Go!" He raised the pitch of his voice, and blood trickled from the corner of his mouth.
Loli Elga still didn’t move, even when the sight of the big, giant teeth entered her eyes. She remained in place.
Long Haoran was astounded and grabbed the corner of her clothes to pull her away, planning to convert into a death envoy to have a chance at life.
But the moment the tips of his finger grazed on the black hem lace of Loli Elga’s gothic dress, the big bull flew to the side, then both of them heard a familiar voice.
"That’s my cook! You dare lay a finger on him!"
The boss’s back crashed into trees in a straight line for hundreds of meters. "Moo!"
Li Chunhua’s body shrouded in a metallic glow flickered and appeared in front of the big bull, and she grabbed its horns before smashing the bull 180 degrees repeatedly on the ground until a big crater was formed.
[-1500]
[-2500]
[-2489]
The big bull roared and tried to escape, but Li Chunhua’s hold made it unable to do so. Even when it summoned its aegis skill, Li Chunhua’s fury rendered it useless.
"Moo!"
Bang-
A symphony of moo and bang resonated in the place that was redecorated by Li Chunhua’s smashing.
Long Haoran, through his blurry vision, saw the scene and was shocked.
Loli Elga was equally dumfounded, but she was also grateful. Tears streamed out of her eyes.
Long Haoran’s hold on the pendant loosened.
When the boss’ HP was reduced to 5%, it triggered its innate skill. It’s body grew bigger, making it regain its confidence, only to be shattered when the two-legged creature punched its forehead.
Its skull was crushed, and blood trickled from both of its ears.
[-10,560]
[2,980/34,000]
The bull boss was frightened. "Moo!"
Li Chunhua strike its forehead again.
A series of announcements reverberated in the green planet.
The players of Newbie Mountain No. 27, who were currently panicking, heard the announcement of someone slaying the boss.
What?
When Li Chunhua was done, she observed the wounds on her Chef Long guy and apologized. "I’m sorry. I forgot to give you a ride." Now, she won’t be able to eat barbecue.
(┬┬﹏┬┬)
Long Haoran bobbed his head with difficulty before coughing.
On the other hand, Loli Elga hugged Li Chunhua’s waist and pressed her face on the latter’s chest. "Thank you, and I’m sorry for all I’ve done."
Li Chunhua was startled.
Long Haoran leaned on the tree and looked at the sky. Once again, he escaped death.
