Chapter 117: Elga’s Timely Assist (1)

[Green Thumb]: If you have another type of seed you want to grow, just inform me. I worked in the Agriculture Bureau before. Regarding the ones you asked, if a problem occurs, contact me immediately.

[Little Baozi]: Alright. How much for all of it?

[Green Thumb]: Normally, I charge 10 units of wood or 500 g of food, or 1 liter of water per guide, but since you bought it in bulk, I will give you a 10% discount. The total amount will be either 63 units of wood or 3 ¼ kilograms of food, or 6.3 liters of drinkable water.

Li Chunhua nodded, finding the price reasonable, and immediately paid the fees with little extras. Since her class requires some farming, and she couldn’t rely on the little ginseng in combat. This person’s help might be needed in the future.

[You’ve got 70 units of wood.]

[You’ve got 10 kilograms of jasmine rice.] ’

There’s rice?

The old man was confused as to why the Player Baozi gave too much.

[Green Thumb]: I think you have made a mistake.

[Little Baozi]: It’s a tip. I will keep in touch in the future.

Li Chunhua remembered her poisonous singing and grimaced. She won’t croak ever again because what if she turned the whole mountain’s trees into something poisonous. She will suffer if ever that happens.

[Green Thumb]: Thank you, and if you ever encounter something related to agriculture, just leave a message. I will prioritize you over the others.

The old man took out the bag of rice from his inventory. He opened it, and the scent of freshly harvested crops drifted under his nose.

It seems like what every young player in global chat said is true.

If you can hug Little Baozi’s thigh, you can live a good life. To take out 10 kilograms of rice so easily, it easily indicated how rich the other side was.

He needs to hold on to this golden thigh.

The old professor instructed one of his natives to craft tiny bamboo pots to steam rice. The pot on the manufacturing page needed metal to synthesize, but unfortunately he didn’t have any, and no player would spare to sell it on the trade market unless they were desperate.

----

Li Chunhua returned to her staking business after giving the elf the guides.

Siri noticed her depressed mood. "Master, don’t be discouraged. Your singing may be awful, but at least it can have poisonous properties..."

The metal stake on Li Chunhua’s hand was bent. "Brother Siri, I’m alright." Her face might display calmness, but her aura was radiating the sign, ’I dare you to mention my singing again.’

Siri clamped his mouth shut and slowly retreated to the farm on the back of the dilapidated old cottage. Never mind. His master was clearly not in a good mood.

He was planning on a trip later to search for poisonous plants, but it might trigger another chain of unpleasant reactions, and not only the next metal stake will bent but his back too.

Li Chunhua watched the elf’s disappearance before sighing.

She continued molding the metal block into a half-meter rod with its end pointed barehandedly like it was just clay. Time flew past, and after ten minutes, she was able to make 40 metal stakes.

It wasn’t enough to use for the entire trenches, but because the metal resources were scarce, she had no choice but to use the less durable wood to substitute for the lacking numbers. She just hoped the defense of the monsters wouldn’t be too exaggerated like that blob’s [950].

She took a rough look at her inventory and took out a knife, wood, and saw.

The units of wood mentioned by the system were logs, one-third meter in length and as thick as two men’s arms. She used the saw to divide the wood into four before carving the ends into sharp stakes.

It was difficult at first because either the knife or the wood broke under her strength, but when she was able to adjust the force she applied, her efficiency soared. She could make a wooden stake in five seconds, and in ten minutes, there were already a total of 120 wooden stakes next to her legs.

She looked at her units of wood left [1563]. She withdrew 100 and created another 400 wooden stakes. She stored the 520 stakes in her inventory before heading to the 30-foot-deep trenches.

Looking at the five-meter-wide trench, she thought of making a removable bridge after burying the stakes. Li Chunhua jumped and, one by one, took out the stakes. The little dumpling, who never worked her butts off, started planting the unsharpened end of the wood on the ground, unaware of a certain Martial Aunt plotting a scheme.

----

On the other hand, Loli’s eyes sparkled when she saw the 10 natives inside the territory. Her mind formulated some plans.

"Come out, or I’ll chop off your master!" She shouted and pressed the edge of the sharp axe blade on Huo Yan’s neck.

Huo Yan’s was terrified. His face was pale and instantly let out muffled cries because his mouth was stuffed with bandanas, exposing his bald scalp. "Help! Help!"

"It’s Master!" The ten natives—5 were 1-2 star beast men in animal hides, 2 were 1-star barbarians dressed in soft leather armor, and the remaining 3 were human-like species from low-level planets in coarse clothes—saw Huo Yan under the pig-faced pixie loli’s axe and panicked.

"Fern, what should we do?" The nine anxious natives turned to the lion-beast man, the only 2 star, and had Spearman profession amongst them.

Fern had two pointy ears in the same color as his shoulder-length, yellow gold shaggy mane. His build was large—about twice the size of a normal male adult. His chest was dotted with old scars, and on his hand was a white-quality wooden spear, given by his master from the monster loots.

"That’s our master. Of course, we need to go out. Otherwise, we’ll return empty-handed and tarnish the honor of our tribes and clans if our master is eliminated this early." Fern spoke righteously. His face showed composure, but inside he was trembling because of the loli’s axe.

He can discern that this was not a monster but rather someone’s native. To summon such a high-level species at an early stage needed ample resources, which means there’s already an overlord player in this mountain. Their days, even if they managed to overcome this one, would be harder.

And his master was so stupid to go out without an escort! That’s karma for colluding with a Death Envoy!

Knowing they had no choice, all the natives came out, and Fern opted for a civilized approach and spoke in a polite tone, "We will do whatever you want, just release our master."

Elga knew that if she killed this man, these natives would be transported back to their clans, and she wouldn’t have a chance to raise an army.

"You just need to do me one favor, and I’ll set your master free." Loli Elga smirked, imagining the old fake witch’s defeated face.

Fern and the others agreed immediately and ignored Huo Yan below, who was writhing and sending them orders with his glares.

Don’t agree with her! Kill this pig-face!

Unfortunately, no one could hear his thoughts, and even if his natives did, there was no way they could defeat a loli whose stats were above them.

A few hours later...

"The barrier is gone! The heavens are helping me!" Loli Elga exclaimed in joy after she saw from a distance that the dome-shaped shield protecting the Old Fake Witch’s land on the mountain top was gone. Now the end of the Old Fake Witch’s tyranny is around the corner!

Loli Elga laughed maniacally.

Fern and the other natives carrying their wooden weapons and farming tools shivered along with Huo Yan, tied into a zhongzi from the dried vines and dangling on the end of the bamboo pole carried by Loli over her small shoulder.

The conquerors started their invasion journey.
