Chapter 475: 475: Blessed with Great Fortune, Jiang Erdan, Young Master Zhi Confesses
Dingzhi Building, sixty-third floor.
"Mr. Zhi," George knocked on the door, "Jiang Zhi has made a move."
"That was quick."
Su Dingzhi opened the door and headed towards the elevator entrance.
George followed, "Are we going to cut them off?"
Su Dingzhi, dressed in a sharp Zhongshan suit, his hair graying and very short, responded, "I’ve spent enough on research on Zhou Xufang to build several buildings; how could I just hand it over to Jiang Zhi?"
"What about Young Master Zhi?"
Young Master Zhi and Jiang Zhi were allies.
Su Dingzhi’s eyes sharpened, "Since when do I need a prisoner’s approval for what I do?"
George pondered on the spot for three seconds, "No need."
Subsequently, the two entered the elevator.
After the elevator doors closed, a man with blonde hair and green eyes emerged at the end of the corridor, looked around, then took out his cell phone and dialed a number.
"Qi Bin."
It was pronounced in Chinese.
Less than half an hour after Su Dingzhi left, Kun and King expertly sneaked into the top floor of the building, incapacitated a group of people, and found the detained Su Qinghou.
"Sorry, Young Master Zhi, we are late."
Kun handed over a key obtained from Old Master Zhi.
Su Qinghou unfastened the chain around his neck, "Where is Su Dingzhi?"
Kun answered, "He’s gone to capture Jiang Zhi and Zhou Xufang."
Pullman General Hospital.
"Second Young Master," Xiong Yi said, "The flight has been arranged."
Jiang Zhi, waiting outside the maternity ward, commanded, "Find a few more medical staff to accompany us."
Xiong Yi acknowledged, "Okay, I’ll arrange that now."
Jiang Zhi stepped aside and made a phone call.
"Nanchu," he stated briefly, "I’ll send you the flight details shortly. Zhou Xufang will arrive in Imperial City first, help me receive him."
Qiao Nanchu asked, "And you?"
"I’ll wrap things up here." There was one more thing, Jiang Zhi requested, "Ask your girlfriend to help delete Zhou Xufang’s medical records."
"Are Zhou Xufang and the baby alright?"
He hummed affirmatively, unable to elaborate.
Qiao Nanchu asked, "Which hospital?"
"Meri Hospital."
"Okay."
At that moment, Xiong Yi approached, "Second Young Master, the ambulance is ready." They planned to transport him discreetly to the airport by ambulance.
"I have to hang up now," Jiang Zhi said.
Qiao Nanchu kept it brief, "Be careful."
"Uh-huh."
Jiang Zhi hung up the phone, then followed into the ambulance.
Xiong Yi also boarded, instructing the driver, "Head to Fudan Airport."
Zhou Xufang lay on the stretcher, wearing a face mask; Jiang Zhi sat beside him silently, accompanied by the medical staff, Xiong Yi, and one of his underlings.
Midway through the journey, a van suddenly rushed towards them from the opposite side of the road. The driver immediately slammed on the brakes and after a sharp turn, managed to stop the vehicle.
Outside, someone knocked on the door of the ambulance.
"Second Young Master Lu," it was Su Dingzhi, "leaving without saying goodbye?"
Jiang Zhi looked up, his gaze calm and unruffled.
Xiong Yi eyed the man beside him, "Did you send the information?"
The man, in his thirties named Qi Bin and who had been with Xiong Yi for four to five years, stood up, "Brother Xiong, as you taught me, humans die for wealth as birds die for food." He opened the door and got out, "Mr. Zhi."
Outside the ambulance, five cars surrounded them.
Su Dingzhi brought a score of people and ambushed us.
Jiang Zhi didn’t get out of the car and sat leisurely, stretching his long legs, "Mr. Su," he said calmly, "what brings you here?"
Su Dingzhi glanced at the person on the medical stretcher, "You can leave Pullman, but leave 011 behind."
Jiang Zhi replied casually, "Sure, take her."
Then, he got out of the car.
Su Dingzhi turned his head and signaled with his eyes, and George immediately went up to the ambulance, checked the woman on the stretcher, and took off her mask.
George was stunned, "Master Zhi, this isn’t 011." Tricked!
Zhou Xufang was not at Puerman General Hospital at all.
Rewind to one hour earlier.
Meri Hospital, Obstetrics.
"Young Master Zhi," Kun hesitated, "how did you know 011 wasn’t at the general hospital?"
Su Qinghou searched through the hospital rooms one by one, "Because Jiang Zhi is a fox spirit."
Fox spirit?
Kun didn’t understand but he didn’t dare to ask further; Whenever Young Master Zhi’s face turned into a "I’m annoyed and feel like causing trouble" look upon the mention of Jiang Zhi, Kun feared getting involved, so he opted for silence.
They had reached the end of the hallway, only one room left.
"Don’t follow."
Kun stopped, "Yes."
Su Qinghou pushed the door open, and a nurse inside asked in Pullman’s local dialect, "Who are you?"
He pointed at Zhou Xufang on the hospital bed, "Her father."
The nurse was incredulous, "..."
They looked about the same age!
The nurse fiercely said, "Please leave!"
Su Qinghou removed his sunglasses, moved toward the bed, his gaze fixed on Zhou Xufang’s face, and made a phone call, "It’s me."
The person on the other end was panic-stricken, "Young, Young Master Zhi?"
In less than a minute, the hospital director came and took the nurse away.
Now alone in the room, Su Qinghou stared at Zhou Xufang, his gaze sharp like a knife, "Lost weight."
He didn’t even know what he was saying.
He stared at her belly, his gaze murderous as if to kill, "Little bastard."
He still didn’t know what he was saying.
He wondered, if he killed her little bastard, would she come after him for revenge?
He reached out, a finger poking her belly hard, his tone chilling, " Unmarried breeding, shameless."
Zhou Xufang, asleep, seemed to sense something and frowned.
Su Qinghou stiffened, retracted his hand, and didn’t poke her belly again. Instead, he poked her forehead viciously, really wanting to hang her up and starve her for a few days to see if she’d dare consort outside again.
Her genes were treasures, not to be consorted with randomly.
As he poked, his finger, as if possessed, moved to her face, her lips, "If from the beginning,"
He had never been like this, his mind a blank, spouting nonsensical words, doing nonsensical things.
"If from the beginning, I had been nicer to you, would you have liked me?"
He looked at her lips, at the scar on his wrist where she had bitten him, leaned down, his finger still on her lips, "Would you?"
Her lips moved slightly, murmuring, "Jiang Zhi..."
Su Qinghou abruptly withdrew his hand.
"I didn’t say it."
It was madness.
It was the devil speaking.
The soft light in his eyes instantly turned into fury, and he turned to leave.
Click.
He opened the door, and a gun was pointed right at his head.
"Young Master Zhi, come with me."
It was Jiang Zhi’s man.
