Chapter 869: Chapter 598: What did you eat to grow this big?_2
"You have already sworn allegiance once before; or were you not sincere at that time?"
"No, this time I am willing to offer everything to you, including my soul."
"Your soul is of no use to me."
Lind was in dire need of the rational Old Nobility, even simply lacking the Old Nobility. As long as he had enough bloodline nobles, he could produce a large number of Ring Knights in a short period of time.
But it wasn’t too dire, as he had too many methods to supplement high-end combat power, such as letting his soldiers absorb Divine Skin to become Deities.
Such inhumane methods would attract countless people to flock to him.
"But I am very interested in Red Furnace Castle."
Under Soc’s excited gaze, Lind drew his longsword and placed it on the other’s shoulder.
"I accept your allegiance, Lord of Red Furnace Castle, Baron Soc Red Furnace."
The old knight Rad’s death caused a huge change in Soc; he desperately yearned to return to Red Furnace Castle, even if it meant seeking help from external forces.
Soc was not foolish; he could tell from their magic combat style that these people were not native to the Eastern Continent, possibly similar to those Curse Calamity invaders.
So what!
"Then our next plan of action," Lind seemed to be pondering, then said in a very leisurely tone, "is to take back Red Furnace Castle, eliminate Red Furnace, and unify the Eastern Continent along the way."
Soc opened his mouth.
Shouldn’t this be the final step of the plan?
According to Soc’s expectations, they should start by attacking the surrounding camps, gradually occupying land, expanding their scale, eventually growing to a level comparable to Red Furnace, encircling but not attacking, or engaging in small-scale harassment, and nibble away step by step.
The outside force he swore allegiance to is indeed arrogant.
"My lord, you may not know how difficult those people are; Red Furnace possesses the strength of 7 Rings and has an Undead Knight corps, and even commands three Undead Dragons."
Lind turned to look at Sila; the intelligence she had provided did not mention Undead Dragons.
Three Undead Dragons. If they are at 6 Rings, it’s manageable, but if they are at 7 Rings, it will be a significant challenge.
"The legendary Giant Dragon Graveyard," Sila said, "he must have awakened the Undead Dragons there. Their strength certainly won’t exceed 7 Rings."
Lind nodded, inclined to trust Sila’s statement.
If the three Undead Dragons indeed had the strength of 7 Rings, plus Red Furnace himself, it made a total of four 7 Rings. Judging by Red Furnace’s actions, it was clear he was not one to keep a low profile.
Lind didn’t even have four 7 Rings and dared to launch planar wars, even rampaging through Magic Land unrestrained. If he had four powerful combatants, he couldn’t imagine how arrogant he’d become; he would probably directly storm the Cursed Land and use Lord Mandible’s skull as a ball.
So the strength of the opponent’s Undead Dragons couldn’t be too strong, most likely around 5 Rings, 6 Rings at best, considering some dragon enhancements, maybe slightly stronger than usual.
The only problem was the 7 Rings Red Furnace.
Lind had three choices.
One, help the Beastmaster restore all of his power, if the latter would uphold the promise of swearing allegiance to him.
This possibility was slim. If Lind himself had no ulterior motive, he wouldn’t possibly submit to someone weaker than himself, cleaning up their mess.
Two, seek assistance from the King of Black Phosphorus. As an absolute top-tier combatant among the 7 Rings dragons, just showing up would secure victory, and if unable to win, he could always escape.
Three, grow himself to the 7 Rings level.
With powerful strength to suppress, he could also help the Beastmaster restore all his power.
"The Giant Dragon Graveyard, sounds like an interesting place."
"It’s just a graveyard,"
Sila explained.
"There are many stone tablets of giant dragons, marking the place where dragons once interacted with humans. There are no dragon corpses, but it is an excellent place for using Undead Magic."
"Summoning?" Lind asked.
Finding a dragon’s corpse and transforming it into an Undead Dragon was exceedingly difficult, no less than killing a dragon, enduring all reprisals, and in the end making it into an Undead Dragon.
The best way was to directly summon an Undead Dragon.
"Exactly." Sila nodded.
Listening to that, Lind was tempted to summon a few Undead Dragons to serve him.
Soc stayed quietly beside them, not daring to move.
"Boom."
The ground suddenly started to shake.
An earthquake?
"It’s the Rock Earth Giant Lizard," Soc took the initiative to say, "It must have woken up."
"That gigantic ancestral lizard?"
"Yes."
Lind rushed into the sky, floating above the sea of clouds and turning his head to search. The "earthquake" had torn the land and mountains, easily altering the terrain.
And Lind saw the colossus, a massively enlarged giant lizard, its fore claws on one small mountain while its tail drooped on another.
Its tail swayed gently, causing mountains to collapse.
Scattered rocks poured into the sky like a waterfall, then turned into a meteor shower crashing down to the ground.
"What does it eat to grow so big?"
Lind clicked his tongue in wonder.
It was almost as big as the King of Black Phosphorus. Even if he tried to become a giant, he would not have such a huge body, but he didn’t sense much magic power from it.
Even without magic power, just maintaining such a gigantic body’s movement, its physical strength and power would be terrifyingly unimaginable.
No wonder the Eastern Continent had so many giant beast restricted areas. If such a giant freaks out, even the strongest would have a headache; a slight mistake could destroy a territory, causing catastrophic casualties.
The lizard also sensed Lind, lazily opened its eyes, and stared at him while floating in the sky. Its body turned, and its tail swung towards him.
Lind dodged to the side, the advantage of a smaller size showing.
The enormous tail swing generated Wind Blades that split the sea of clouds in two.
With the "whoosh whoosh" sound of wind still echoing in his ears, Lind rapidly ascended, his body quickly enlarging.
The mountains, the giant lizard, everything shrank in his eyes.
"Boom!——"
A small mountain chased Lind into the sky. Lind could even see a human-like cunning smile on the lizard’s face; its combat thinking was excellent, knowing it needed to change strategies if distance was created.
In an instant, the small mountain expanded in Lind’s vision, seemingly appearing out of nowhere and taking up all he could see.
Drawing his sword, he struck, releasing his flaming power.
Standing on the ground, Soc and the Undead knights looked up at the flying mountain, watching it be sharply sliced, explode, and then turn into a fiery meteor crashing down.
But the meteor didn’t fall randomly; it was precisely aimed at the giant lizard below, hitting it like a homing missile with pinpoint accuracy.
The meteor shower ceased, as the Undead knights watched the battle that could easily reshape the land. No matter how many times they witnessed it, the massive explosive effects, the collisions between giants and beasts, always made their blood surge.
The giant figure in the sky burned, transforming into a final flaming meteor, like a short red laser beam, instantly stabbing into the giant lizard’s head, smashing its raised head to the ground.
The opened mouth of the giant lizard even closed with a "bang."
Energy flickered, flames extracted from the body, spreading like flaming wings.
A series of rapid punches rained down.
Lind, riding on the giant lizard’s head, attacked with rapid continuous punches, outputting as much as he could while his opponent was dazed by the meteor impact. The lizard twisted its body, trying to shake him off, but Lind unexpectedly jumped off, now wielding a hammer and an axe.
Attacking with one in each hand.
The hammer struck the lizard’s jaw, lifting its head, and the giant axe followed from above to smash it down again.
"Boom!"
The ground quaked.
The impact generated a massive web-like crack in the earth at the center of the Rock Earth Giant Lizard’s head, spreading outwards, even collapsing two small mountains.
The fight ended.
It was like Lind had just fought an insignificant battle.
He looked at Soc, meaning very clearly.
And Soc’s eyes burned with fervor; he understood that his allegiance was the right choice.
