The Boss King actually disguised himself as a novice village chief?!
Chapter 864 - 596: Is There Anything They Can’t Eat?

Chapter 864: Chapter 596: Is There Anything They Can’t Eat?

A dozen wizards obediently looked at the man before them, waiting for him to speak.

The rescue war was over.

They had successfully escaped from the nightmare-like Cursed Land and were now standing in the hall of a magic school.

The air around them was filled with dense magic elements, which slightly replenished their parched bodies.

The vast and spacious magic school exuded an unsettling aura, as if it had undergone tens of thousands of bombings.

What really made them nervous was the Lord in front of them.

A suit of golden armor, with intricate magic patterns spreading from the heart like blood vessels to the edges of the body, pulsing with each breath.

A pitch-black cloak draped around him like a lover.

He was adorned with numerous blessed weapons, a Holy Grail, necklaces, long blades, and more, looking like a moving treasure trove.

Lords capable of waging planar wars were all formidable figures to be revered.

"Standing before you is the sole master of the Magic Land, the King of Kings, the great Black Knight of Enstad Continent, the Pioneer of Xilu Continent, the Leader of Serylin Continent, the Lord of All Gods, the human lord of Misty Rain City, the Undead Master, Lind Armand."

Lady Dai Juying performed her role as a servant flawlessly, and the singing of the legendary Mage during the introduction was impressive.

Lind was considering having her take on another role.

The wizards were dizzy from the barrage of titles.

"Welcome to the Borderland illuminated by the Ring of Magic, the intersection of the mundane and the Divine Realm." Lind looked down at the dozen frail wizards, "You may have heard of this place."

"Of course, my Lord." A wizard with red hair, a high nose bridge, and freckles spoke up.

However, her skin was different from that of ordinary humans. She was probably a demi-human, though it was uncertain whether her kind existed before or after the ring shattered.

"We come from the Eastern Continent." She introduced herself, "That land has never seen this legendary place."

"Is that so?"

Lind was noncommittal.

The teleportation circle discovered on Xilu Continent and the World Tree Map created by the Mystical Mage also included the Eastern Continent, indicating that the wizards of these continents had connections, especially through magic schools.

"Would you mind explaining how you ended up there?"

"Certainly." The red-haired woman nodded, "Sorry, I haven’t introduced myself yet. You can call me Sila."

"Lady Sila, we’re just having a friendly conversation." Lind raised his hand, indicating that she should not be too nervous.

If the other party was truly willing to cooperate, they could have a friendly exchange.

"It all started with the shattering of the Ring of Magic..."

As she was about to recount the events from a few years ago, Lind raised his hand to interrupt her.

Meeting her puzzled eyes, Lind said, "I have some knowledge about the shattering of the Ring of Magic. I’ve heard the origin story too many times."

Very unreliable.

From the information obtained from the Mystical Mage, it was not hard to deduce that the shattering of the Ring of Magic had connections with the top wizards of various continents, and they were likely the ones behind it.

Lind tended to believe this as well.

Perhaps the shattering of the Ring of Magic indeed caused many disasters, but the key issue was who caused it to shatter.

"Yes, of course." Sila nodded, "Then, the world descended into chaos, isn’t that the case with other continents as well?"

Lind simply nodded faintly.

Sila continued, "We barely managed to fight against the frenzied calamities, which gathered in large numbers."

It sounded different from the planes Lind had visited, with no Abyss invasions or gods awakening.

"We had to give it our all, but the Eastern Continent was too fragile." She explained, "That space always seemed to make people disappear suddenly, getting lost in unknown places."

"The reason?" Lind asked.

"Magical research." Sila responded.

"Not surprising."

"..."

A fragile space, where one might suddenly traverse to other material planes while walking, or even be banished to the Cursed Land continent.

Lind could guess why there were no deity awakenings. Perhaps they awakened but quickly got lost.

"Do you remember your location?"

"Of course."

Sila and the others understood Lind’s intention, but they had no desire to refuse.

Escaping from the cursed and chaotic Cursed Land was already a great relief for them, and they had little "loyalty" to their homeland. Instead, they were more willing to focus on their current situation.

This was the Magic Land, after all.

As the core location, it was the gateway to the "Divine Realm".

Unlike the chaotic beliefs of various gods, there were only a few true figures seated on the godly thrones.

"You are free to move about in the Magic Land." Lind said, "You are also welcome to stay and do what you are good at, whether it be opening a shop, conducting magical research, or becoming mercenaries. There are many relics to explore if you are interested in studying history."

Sila: ?

Wasn’t it supposed to be the end of the world? Or did she misunderstand, and this world hadn’t undergone those calamities, with only the unfortunate Eastern Continent being invaded?

She quickly dismissed her conjecture. The shattering of the ring changed the ecological environment of the Magic World, and all continents touched by magic were inescapably in this predicament.

"We will try to integrate here."

"I believe you will." Lind casually asked, "By the way, I’ve never been to the Eastern Continent. Your main belief is also in the Three Gods, right?"
