Chapter 151: Chapter 139: The Beauty I Want to Possess Immediately
Lord Lind, wandering around his territory like a boss, attracted the attention of many Undead. His fierce and formidable image perhaps belonged in the enemy’s camp.
Many of the Undead inevitably harbored a similar thought.
That is, why was the village chief of Newbie Village at Star Dragon Ridge so fierce, completely different from other region’s chiefs?
After a discussion that was not intense, all the Undead came to a unanimous conclusion: he was a favored son.
Lord Lind, referred to as the Officials’ favored son by the Undead, had already returned to the watchtower in his Former Territory, where he received some relatively good news.
They had successfully made contact with the mining forces north of the Crossroads of Faith.
"The head miner is named Ge Nan, under him, a group of miners as if they had drunk the blood of mad wolves, mined day and night. They indeed have a lot of ore."
"And the trade?"
"Ge Nan does not trust us, he said he only trusts the village chief of Harbor Village."
Another NPC forcefully bound by the Officials as friendly?
Although from the perspective of the Undead, having someone who unconditionally trusts you feels great, for oneself, this feeling is undoubtedly awful; many resources would be inaccessible due to issues of identity and stance.
"I’ll go there myself."
He was waiting on too many pressing matters.
But mining resources were of utmost importance, not being able to produce them independently would leave him dependent on others, whether it was producing collaborative trinkets specially for player points, or repairing weapons, basic construction, and so forth, all required resources.
He felt an increasing urgency to return to Goliath, as a mountainous country, Goliath had rich mineral resources, yet most were not within his own territory.
When he found Miss Brittany, she was grinding medicine, which was completely different from Miss Miko’s potion brewing process.
Lind admired her figure.
The woman with a veil covering her face revealed a pair of big eyes and moved her body flexibly like a dancer, twirling between mortars.
Until she poured the magic potion, emitting light purple smoke, into a strangely porous bottle.
Unlike the glass bottles that must be sealed to contain magic potions, Miss Brittany’s bottle was covered with holes, and as she gently shook her wrist, wisps of barely noticeable light purple smoke diffused out.
"New spices?" Lind spoke up when he saw her stop.
"I only know how to produce one kind of spice," Brittany handed a little bottle to Lind and said, "it’s just used in a different way."
Unlike Miss Miko, who mastered moon enhancement magic and various potion recipes, Brittany only knew how to produce magic potion spices that could induce hallucinations, but the kind of effect the spices produced depended on her skills as a perfumer.
"It could drive people mad, or make them afraid, saying you only know one isn’t quite right," Lind said as he frowned and lightly flared his nostrils, "What spice did you mix this time?"
"A lingering song?"
"I thought I heard it, but the singing was so-so."
Lind raised his hand and dug at his ear, then set the spices down. He was the Lord, the service provider, and if he wanted to sell the product to the Undead, he had to strictly control the quality.
Miss Brittany, unfazed by his blunt critique, didn’t say anything; it was just one of her minor creations.
Lind’s visit to Miss Brittany was still about the launch of the magic potions. Miss Brittany clearly lacked Miss Miko’s hardworking spirit, her efficiency was too low.
The spice that could affect enemy’s vision and create illusions could be very effective in combat, and the Undead’s feedback on it was quite good. The only problem was that it was produced too slowly.
Lind did not need to rely on hunger marketing; for consumables, he wished there was an unlimited supply, the more extravagantly the Undead wasted them, the better.
"Have you considered teaching a few more people?" Lind’s gaze lingered on Brittany’s veil, then moved up to look at her eyes, which were completely different from those of people from the Rand Kingdom.
Bright eyes, double eyelids, and a red dot between her eyebrows.
Breathtaking.
However, there could be no hint of flirtation between them; their relationship was merely that of a Lord and an enslaved perfumer. If someone defeated Lind, Brittany could switch allegiances without any guilt.
In contrast, Lind was confident that if he ever needed it, that rabbit would definitely stand by his side with a small dagger in hand. The only cost would likely be handing over all the Magic Potion ingredients to her.
He was going to give them to her to brew the Magic Potion anyway, so it rounded up to no cost at all.
"Only the moon’s Believer..."
The familiar start of a refusal.
"You could let those curse Wizard help you prepare the ingredients," Lind felt he still had to remind the other party to make use of the tools at their disposal.
"The dangerous, the potentially lethal, or the overly repetitive tasks—they can handle them."
He might not take on apprentices, but he had to speed up the process.
With her eyes sparkling, Brittany looked at Lind, her red lips slightly moving behind the light veil, "Yes, I will."
Once again, Lind’s gaze stopped on her veil.
He wondered if removing her veil meant that he’d have to marry her if he saw her face.
If there was such a ridiculous rule, he would definitely approve with both hands, and then immediately reach out and pull off her veil.
"You seem to be contemplating something disrespectful?" Brittany stared straight at Lind.
As she spoke, she reached up and removed her veil, revealing a face that perfectly matched the upper half, exquisitely beautiful.
"How do you like it?" Her lips were slightly plump and tinted, and as she spoke, they puckered just slightly, tempting one to nibble on them.
With the veil on, she was adjudged a top beauty, but without it, she transformed into a stunning enchantress.
"Beautiful!" Lind did not shy away and openly admired, "It’s a beauty I yearned to claim the moment I saw it!"
He could somewhat understand why she wore a veil. Brittany’s face was enchanting, especially the combination of her lips and eyes, as if designed to suck out a person’s soul.
Brittany put on her veil again, her voice tinged with rare exasperation, "You are indeed frank."
"What I desire, I strive to procure, but I never lie about what I want. It would be an insult to my earnest desires," Lind, who had wandered countless times between life and death, had not let the ugly roots of nature assimilate his thoughts, but most of the time, he chose to be straightforward.
To want is to want.
"Well, I have other matters," Lind seemed to suddenly remember something, "Remember to work hard! The development of the territory needs you!"
After saying this, he turned and left, giving no chance for a response.
Brittany watched his golden figure walk away, her eyes flickering.
Then she chuckled softly.
Her shoulders trembling slightly: "What a tough talker!"
But it was evident she was in a good mood, a powerful Lord who significantly surpassed her in strength, on one hand, claimed to be so enamored with her beauty that he wanted to claim her immediately, while on the other hand, he restrained himself diligently.
Appreciation and respect from a powerful figure were indeed impressive.
The straightforwardly departing Lind was a bit embarrassed.
"Miscalculated!"
Who could have thought that seeing Miss Brittany’s face up close would be so captivating?
As a physically strong Great Knight, and especially with his primary ability being Flames, Lind was quick-tempered, easily fueled by the slightest provocation.
But it must be said, Miss Brittany was indeed beautiful—not just ordinarily so, but exceedingly so.
"Lord!" Someone greeted from the roadside.
"Ahem, yes," Lind nodded.
The image of the Lord must be maintained well, absolutely unshakable!
