Crisis loomed, and with his years of experience teetering on the brink of life and death, Ye Shikai understood all too well that the enemy was luring them into a trap. The choice of this location was designed to corner both of them, but such measures were insufficient to contain Ye Shikai.

"Whoosh, whoosh, whoosh." The sounds of rushing air came from the darkness. Ye Shikai swiftly pulled Luo Shiqi aside, brandishing the sword towards his face to parry.

"Clang." A crisp metallic sound rang out, followed by a short arrow falling to the ground.

"The arrowhead is poisoned." Ye Shikai wrapped a cloth around his palm and picked up the short arrow, noting its blackened tip, clearly poisoned.

"Clap, clap, clap." At this moment, a few candles slowly lit up in the dark room, casting an eerie glow akin to that of a haunted house. But unlike a haunted house which posed no real danger, this place was a den of tigers and dragons. Applause began drifting in from the doorway.

"Haha, truly Mr. Ye is a man of authentic character," a woman draped in black veils appeared at the doorway, her raspy voice laced with mockery.

"Who are you," Ye Shikai demanded coldly. From her appearance, the woman had a seductive figure, devilish in allure, but he could also sense that she was a devil through and through, with a strong scent of blood emanating from her.

"Mr. Ye, are you so curious about my name," the woman chuckled coyly, seemingly mocking him. Knowing Ye Shikai’s prowess, was she not the least bit wary, looking so self-assured and composed?

"I’m not curious, not even concerned, let alone about an ugly woman," Ye Shikai sneered coldly.

"Ugly woman, on what basis do you say that," the woman in black veils shuddered slightly upon hearing this, seemingly very sensitive to those words.

Beautiful women on the streets wish to bare more skin, while you, in the scorching heat, are tightly covered from head to toe, obviously hideous beyond recognition, just an ugly woman," Ye Shikai ridiculed, imagining the veins on the woman’s forehead, which would be visible if not for the black veil.

"Mr. Ye, you truly have a sharp tongue. Wait till I knock out all your teeth, then we’ll see how you play the bridegroom," the woman said with angry laughter, oddly enough boasting with "brave words."

"Alright then, let’s have a challenge," Ye Shikai gripped his sword firmly, simultaneously scooping Luo Shiqi into his arms.

Before Ye Shikai could react, the other two Mothmen shot towards him like cannonballs. Ye Shikai quickly pulled out the Fire Element from his Storage Ring, using his Inner Strength to form a fire barrier to protect himself and Luo Shiqi behind it.

"Roar roar." The fire had a killing effect on Mothmen but did not impede their movement. Ye Shikai, having to protect Luo Shiqi, was somewhat stretched thin. He could only use the flames to slowly deplete the creatures’ energy, all the while looking for their weaknesses.

"Whoosh." Suddenly, Ye Shikai felt a chill on his back and, on reflex, swung his sword to block. Two blades, one on the left and one on the right, held his sword in place – it was that veiled woman. Her speed was so fast, almost on par with his own. Ye Shikai, caught off guard, spun around and pulled Luo Shiqi to safety behind him.

"You got distracted." The veiled woman’s mouth curved slightly upward as she lifted her leg and kicked straight into Ye Shikai’s chest, sending him flying.

"Are you okay?" Luo Shiqi’s heart tightened, and in her urgency, she rushed forward. Ye Shikai lied on the ground, a pained expression on his face.

"If it were not for someone telling me not to kill you, you would have already been a ghost beneath my blade," the veiled woman said viciously. Suddenly, with rapid steps, she lunged toward Ye Shikai. Luo Shiqi was shocked and tried to intervene, but the veiled woman pushed her aside.

"I’m not free to deal with you right now; don’t be in such a hurry to court death," the veiled woman growled lowly. Ye Shikai, seeing this, attempted to come to the rescue but was kicked away by the veiled woman once again.

"Mr. Ye, I have to admit you are indeed formidable. Had we fought a fair battle today, the outcome might still be uncertain. However, it’s such a pity that you’re always so easily swayed by emotions," the veiled woman stepped closer to Ye Shikai, her face beneath the veil revealing a smile as if a hunter savoring the hunt.

"If you’re going to kill, just kill. What else do you want?" Ye Shikai’s mouth was stained with traces of blood. Those two kicks had been solid, and he suspected internal injuries. He hadn’t expected the woman’s Inner Strength to be so profound.

"As I said, someone has instructed me not to kill you," the veiled woman spoke indifferently, slowly pulling out pliers from behind and bending down to whisper, "I did say earlier that I was going to knock out your teeth. But considering your attitude isn’t bad, I’ll just pull out one tooth."
