360: Chapter 360 Illusion Fox Captured 360: Chapter 360 Illusion Fox Captured A minor gesture went unnoticed by Nightmare, while the screen of the cell phone in Illusion Fox’s pocket suddenly lit up, vibrating briefly…
After breakfast, Illusion Fox and Nightmare left the villa.
Hong Kong is an international metropolis.
Although both of them had been active in Hong Kong while they were with the Tomb Spirit Organization, the notion of tourism or leisure was nonexistent for the two Assassins.
The television tower of Hong Kong is a hundreds-of-meters tall building, with the top viewing platform made of tempered glass.
Looking down from it, one can overlook the entire Hong Kong.
The scenery is limitless and spectacular.
Today is Sunday, and there are many people visiting the tower, most of them tourists from other places.
“Are you sure you want to go up?
It’s very crowded today.
Maybe we should just skip it.” At the base of the tower, hand in hand, Nightmare hesitated upon seeing so many people.
“No, I really want to check it out,” insisted Illusion Fox, pulling Nightmare’s hand forward.
“Look at this magnificent view, this relaxing feeling is really nice.” On the viewing platform, Illusion Fox affectionately leaned into Nightmare’s arms, both gazing down at the traffic coming and going below.
“Yes, indeed.
We haven’t relaxed like this for a long time,” Nightmare seemed to be reflecting and sighed softly.
As professional Assassins, relaxation and comfort were as precious as a spring in the desert.
In reality, even when they slept, there was a dagger hidden under their pillows.
Suddenly, a flash of light flickered across Nightmare’s eyes in the distance.
Instinctively, he determined it was the reflection from a sniper rifle’s scope.
“Be careful.” Nightmare grabbed Illusion Fox’s arm and pulled her down.
In the distance, a bullet traced an arc in the air and effortlessly shattered the tempered glass in front of them, piercing through.
“Ah!” Surprisingly, the bullet was not aimed at Nightmare, but hit a man ten meters away.
The bullet struck his right chest, and he lay on the ground moaning in pain, blood pouring out all over the floor.
“Somebody’s dead.” The crowd around them panicked at the sight, and in an instant, the observation deck was filled with cries of terror.
People scrambled in all directions, running down the stairs.
Some of the more faint-hearted were already scared enough to lie down on the ground.
“Bang.”
“Bang.”
Two more bullets followed, easily penetrating the tempered glass, hitting two more people.
The sniper rifle had a silencer, and the scene was in chaos, leaving Nightmare unable to locate the sniper’s position.
Slowly looking up, the television tower seemed to reach into the clouds.
To snipe from such a height, the opponent must be at some high point.
Nightmare looked around, and there was only one tall building in the distance that could serve as a vantage point, but at this range—already over two kilometers—it could only be one person.
Te Que from the Tomb Spirit Organization.
He was once a top sniper in the Underworld, later joining the Tomb Spirit Organization to take on sniping and cover support missions.
Five years ago, Nightmare had ambushed and killed Te Que in a laboratory, and now this new recruit’s strength was even more formidable than before.
“Bang.” A bullet struck the concrete panel in front of Nightmare, and he immediately crouched down, taking cover behind an object.
Te Que had discovered him.
“Save…
save me.” At this moment, the wounded man beside him let out a weak groan.
The bullet had hit his lungs, and blood was choking out of his mouth with every breath.
“Just wait here for a bit.” Nightmare said to Illusion Fox behind him, his tone very anxious.
Then he rushed toward the man without looking back, failing to notice a hint of something strange in Illusion Fox’s eyes.
“How are you?” Nightmare quickly reached the man’s side and checked his wounds.
“Back…
back…” The man kept coughing up blood, unable to complete his sentence.
He lifted his hand with difficulty and pointed upwards.
“Back what?” Nightmare asked, confused.
Suddenly, his face changed.
In the man’s eyes, he saw a sharp blade plunging violently toward his back.
Using every bit of strength to dodge to the side, Nightmare narrowly avoided the lethal stab at the last moment, as the blade pierced straight into the man’s heart.
Upon recognizing the attacker, Nightmare’s face turned instantly.
“Rong Yuan, it’s actually you.” Nightmare shouted loudly.
The person behind him was none other than the second-in-command of the Tomb Spirit Organization, Rong Yuan, who was also one of Refining Mo’s confidants.
He stood there with a blade in hand, staring intently at Nightmare.
As soon as he finished speaking, Rong Yuan launched another assault, thrusting the sharp blade straight toward him.
Nightmare was shocked and immediately pulled out two halberds to block the attack.
“Dammit.” Nightmare thought he could easily handle Rong Yuan, but unexpectedly, Rong Yuan’s strength had grown rapidly.
The blade almost penetrated his chest.
Nightmare bellowed, swinging his arms and then turning to counterattack.
“Bang.” The fierce collision between the halberd and the blade sparked bright flashes.
Rong Yuan’s current state resembled that night when Refining Mo and Illusion Fox erupted with energy, displaying tremendous strength.
This was the effect of a mysterious rock.
Refining Mo himself was no match for Nightmare, but with the power of the mysterious rock, they fought evenly for a while.
“Dammit, let her go.” At this moment, Nightmare glanced aside unintentionally and saw Illusion Fox being choked by a man, a pained expression on her face.
Yes, that man was Refining Mo.
Illusion Fox struggled desperately but to no avail.
Nightmare’s heart raced with anxiety; he couldn’t bear to lose Illusion Fox again.
He charged towards Refining Mo, but Rong Yuan blocked his path.
“Those who block me die.” Nightmare suddenly roared, his arm’s veins bulging, a dense murderous aura spreading all around.
His Inner Strength surged at full speed, his eyes turned blood-red, and with the halberd in his right hand, he smashed fiercely at Rong Yuan.
“Bang.” The powerful impact sent Rong Yuan flying, crashing heavily into a wall.
Just moments ago, they were evenly matched, but now, with just a single blow, Nightmare had knocked Rong Yuan down.
Without caring if he was alive or dead, Nightmare immediately turned and pounced towards Refining Mo.
“Refining Mo, let her go.” Nightmare yelled, swinging his halberds like engines, non-stop.
Refining Mo, neither shocked nor angry, held Illusion Fox’s neck with one hand and the Desire Splitting Blade with the other, calmly parrying Nightmare’s assaults.
“Get out of my way.” Hearing people coming from below, Refining Mo’s face showed a hint of urgency.
Taking advantage of a momentary gap in the blocks, he raised the Desire Splitting Blade and slashed fiercely.
A strong burst of energy sent Nightmare flying.
“Ha ha, Nightmare, if you want to save her, wait for my message,” Refining Mo laughed triumphantly, taking a small iron ball from his pocket and smashing it on the ground.
The ball exploded, releasing a cloud of white smoke and a pungent odor.
