350: Chapter 350: The Real Demon 350: Chapter 350: The Real Demon “Being able to find someone from the Tomb Spirit Organization suggests some influence, but what strength do you possess that could be of help to me?” Refining Mo’s grip loosened, and the woman felt her breathing ease slightly.
“Lacking strength, we must seek cooperation.
At present, we both share a common enemy and since our goal aligns, why shouldn’t we cooperate?” The woman saw a chance to persuade and continued speaking.
“The Tomb Spirit Organization never collaborates with others.
Since you could find my base, you must be quite familiar with my character and style,” Refining Mo released his right hand, and as the woman felt her constraints disappear, she took a deep breath in relief.
“Wherever you go, not a blade of grass grows, and the living suffer,” the woman articulated each word distinctly.
Refining Mo, in his every action, would spare no survivor, be it an infant or even a dog.
“According to my style, if you cannot convince me today, then there’s no way I would let you leave here alive.” Refining Mo turned and slowly walked back to his seat, extending his right hand to grasp the rift, a strong energy surged straight to his brain, his eyes once again emitting a faint blue light.
“Evil energy invades the body, though it provides energy to the user, the price paid is the gradual depletion of life.” The woman had just finished speaking when Refining Mo’s eyes abruptly widened in shock, his expression astonished, staring at the woman sternly.
“It seems I have underestimated you, knowing even this.” After a long while, Refining Mo gradually relaxed, pointed to a seat next to him while still maintaining a wary look in his eyes.
“We can begin talking now.” Refining Mo waved his hand and the chair moved slowly out with the force of his Inner Strength.
The woman sat down, obtaining energy from the evil energy of the rift, yet experiencing backlash to her life.
It was Refining Mo’s secret—a secret not even the core members of the Tomb Spirit Organization knew—but this seemingly ordinary woman had spoken it outright.
If Ye Shikai were present, he would have suddenly realized why Refining Mo was able to advance so swiftly in just a few years.
“Speak, how can you help me?” Refining Mo asked straightforwardly.
“Please take a look at this.” The woman mysteriously pulled out a metal box from her pocket and handed it to Refining Mo.
“What is this?” Refining Mo opened the metal box with one hand.
Inside, a syringe and a vial of deep green liquid lay quietly, emitting a profound green glow in the dark environment.
“With this, you can have your revenge,” the woman said with a secretive smile.
“Ha ha, do you think I’m a naive three-year-old kid, knowing nothing and injecting this ghostly thing into my body?” Refining Mo pushed the box to the side impatiently, his attitude towards the woman deteriorating.
“If that’s your attitude, then Mr.
Refining Mo, you will have plenty of regrets, missing the chance for revenge, and…
also never having the chance to regain your left arm again.” The woman casually retracted the metal box, her mouth continuously tempting.
As she spoke the last sentence, she sneakily glanced at Refining Mo, noticing a slight twitch of his eyelid.
“An arm, you want to help me attach an arm?”
“No, absolutely not, I’m not going to attach an arm.Rather, I want your arm to regrow anew, just like a sprout growing grass, a new, more powerful left arm,” the woman slammed the table emphatically with a rhythmic and provocative voice.
“Growing an arm, absurd, how can a human regrow an arm, are you insane?” Refining Mo scoffed, utterly dismissing the woman’s claims.
“Human beings naturally cannot grow extra arms, but what if we were like lizards or octopuses?” The woman said with a faint smile, shaking her finger, her face revealing a terrifying expression.
“You mean…” Refining Mo hesitated, seemingly grasping the meaning behind her words.
The woman walked up to Refining Mo, bent down, and whispered a few words into his ear.
Suddenly, Refining Mo’s complexion drastically changed; a demon known for his ruthless killings actually showed a trace of genuine fear.
After the two fell into silence.
“Everyone outside says that I, Refining Mo, am a merciless demon, but now it seems that you are ten thousand times more terrifying than me.
To create such a thing, you are the real demons,” Refining Mo muttered to himself after a long while, a heartfelt remark.
“Haha, to receive such praise from the esteemed leader of the Tomb Spirit Organization, it seems we have truly moved your heart,” the woman said unabashedly, continuing to place that iron box on the table.
“So, have you decided to cooperate?”
“I don’t like dealing with devils,” Refining Mo coldly said, then his tone shifted, his eyes corner hooking as he coldly chuckled, “But I am very willing to cooperate with devils.”
“But we have one condition. If Mr.
Refining Mo cannot agree, then we refuse to cooperate,” the woman teased.
“What is the condition?
Let’s hear it,” Refining Mo was somewhat curious, but his eagerness for revenge made him overlook many things.
Having decided to go through with this, he was ready to follow through to the end, no matter how dark the path.
“Please have a look, sir,” Instead of speaking, the woman took out a piece of paper from her pocket and handed it to Refining Mo.
“This…
there’s no problem, I agree to your terms,” Refining Mo said after reading, his eyes flashing with a mix of confusion and caution.
“Very well, I wish us a pleasant cooperation,” the woman’s lips slowly curved up, she walked to the door.
“Mr.
Refining Mo, don’t forget that contract, otherwise the consequences…
can be quite severe.” Just as the woman was about to leave, she suddenly turned around, gave another chilling reminder, smiled creepily, and exited the basement, leaving Refining Mo alone, staring blankly at the iron box in front of him.
“As a human, I did what I could; the rest is fate, Hades, you forced me into this,” Refining Mo murmured as if drained, leaning back in his chair, then slowly picked up the syringe on the table, the dark green liquid emitting a faint glow.
Refining Mo aimed the syringe at the meridian in his right arm and forcefully injected all the liquid inside.
“Bang.” Refining Mo’s body went limp, his hand loosened, and the syringe fell to the floor, shattering into pieces, then he gasped uncontrollably, a simple injection leaving him as weak as if he had just run a marathon.
Suddenly, an inexplicable surge of pain blasted his brain, Refining Mo endured the agony, his face turning pale, beads of sweat as large as peas rolled down his cheeks like broken pearls, soaking his clothes, the pain was even greater than the day Ye Shikai had forcefully ripped off one of his arms.
“Ah!” A terrifying scream echoed in the basement, and inside, the man writhed in agony on the floor, his sweat soaking the ground.
On the nearby wall, the originally empty left side slowly began to cast a new shadow.
