Chapter 246 - 246 246 Spy Guest
246: Chapter 246 Spy Guest 246: Chapter 246 Spy Guest Ye Shikai reviewed the materials without a clue, so he decided to visit the hospital with Zhang Ting to see Xie Dong and learn more about the situation.
“Mr.
Xie, I’m very sorry, although I shouldn’t ask you at this time, in order to catch the murderer as soon as possible, I still hope you can cooperate,” Ye Shikai apologized to Xie Dong first, knowing that losing one’s wife must be unbearable.
“Ask away,” Xie Dong said with a calm expression, seemingly having accepted the reality.
“How was the relationship with your wife on a regular basis?” Ye Shikai inquired.
“What do you mean by asking that?” Xie Dong thought Ye Shikai was trying to provoke him.
With such a sudden disaster, he was already on the verge of collapse, and now his anger surged instantly.
“Don’t misunderstand, I just want to understand the situation because I’ve seen your information—you’ve been through a divorce before, right?” Ye Shikai managed to calm Xie Dong down.
“Yes, I’ve been divorced for over a year, and was about to marry Xiao Mei soon, but I didn’t expect… this kind of thing to happen,” Xie Dong started choking up, Ye Shikai gently patted his back.
“Mr.
Xie, rest assured, I will catch the murderer as soon as possible.
I still hope you can provide a description of the murderer,” Ye Shikai asked.
“I…
I really don’t remember, I only saw a pair of wings, a pair of red eyes,” Xie Dong mournfully cradled his head.
Ye Shikai asked Xie Dong a few more questions, then left the sickroom with Zhang Ting.
“How was it, any useful information?” Zhang Ting asked eagerly.
“Of course… not,” Ye Shikai replied irritably.
“This Xie Dong, seems like he doesn’t remember anything.”
“Nonsense, after such a terrifying incident, it’s good enough he’s not scared to death,” Zhang Ting rolled her eyes at Ye Shikai.
“And you still deliberately poked at his sore spot.”
“Sigh, let’s forget it, okay, let’s call it a day,” Ye Shikai massaged his temples.
“What, just like that you’re not investigating anymore, some leader you are, you’re really irresponsible,” Zhang Ting pouted with some dissatisfaction.
“We often have to work overnight, you know.”
“Of course, I’m not going to play; it’s just that sometimes, the civilian ears are more sensitive than those of the officials,” Ye Shikai smiled meaningfully at Zhang Ting.
“You mean, you know the source of the intelligence,” Zhang Ting suddenly realized and clapped her hands.
“Then why don’t you take me with you,” Zhang Ting pouted, dissatisfied.
“The name Officer Zhang is probably known to everyone in Yanjing,” Ye Shikai teased.
The places he needed to visit were places the police shouldn’t go.
“That’s true, the criminals I’ve caught could form an enhanced battalion,” Zhang Ting laughed proudly, not picking up on the sarcasm.
“Hey, Jeddon.” On the road, Ye Shikai made a call to a person at the Netherworld Palace’s branch in Yanjing, Jeddon.
“Netherworld King, is there anything you want me to do?” Jeddon spoke respectfully.
“Help me investigate a case, and there is something else; I’ve sent you the data, please check it,” Ye Shikai spoke, as this branch was his information agency in Huaxia, and this case could just be the right opportunity to make use of it.
“Yes, Netherworld King, Your subject will investigate immediately,” Jeddon replied.
“Also, help me look into a man named Xie Dong and a woman named Cheng Mei; I need all their information.”
“Yes.” A firm voice came from the other end of the phone, and a smile appeared on Ye Shikai’s lips—he never left people disappointed.
Ye Shikai drove to the entrance of the Dark Night Bar, Song Tian was his father’s comrade-in-arms, and since he had entrusted such a heavy responsibility to Ye Shikai, he would take it seriously.
The so-called “vacation” was nothing more than a ruse.
“Mr.
Ye, Miss Luo is waiting for you inside,” a female bodyguard said respectfully to Ye Shikai after entering the VIP room in the back of the bar.
Ye Shikai pushed open the room’s door, and a light fragrance wafted towards him; the room was aromatic with incense, faint smoke curling around.
Luo Shiqi lay lazily on the sofa in a light pink long gauze dress, barefoot and like a beauty emerging from a bath, with her eyes half-closed, seemingly resting.
“You’re here,” Luo Shiqi said faintly, her voice sounding somewhat tired.
“Yeah, I came to ask you about some things,” Ye Shikai walked to the sofa, poured a glass of red wine, and began to sip slowly.
“Okay, come over here and lie down,” Luo Shiqi stretched out her slender finger, pointing to the spot beside her.
Ye Shikai walked over to the sofa and slowly lay down.
The sofa was large enough for two people to lie on, and Luo Shiqi gently wrapped her arms around Ye Shikai’s waist.
“Ahem, let’s talk business.
Did you look at the information I gave you?”
“Of course.” Luo Shiqi’s eyes snapped open, a serious look replacing her earlier languor, and she took a file from the table, handing it to Ye Shikai.
“It’s hard to believe that such a creature exists,” Luo Shiqi said lightly, displaying a look of disgust.
Ye Shikai scrutinized the file seriously, ignoring Luo Shiqi, who did not get angry.
Resting her head on her hand, she lay on her side, watching Ye Shikai with a faint smile and flirtatious brows, as if she was going to devour him.
“Why are you looking at me like that?” Ye Shikai felt uneasy all over; turning his head, he was startled by Luo Shiqi’s expression.
“I heard that you became a police officer,” Luo Shiqi suddenly said out of nowhere.
“I was just helping them solve a case,” Ye Shikai explained and abruptly turned his head, a serious look on his face.
“You’re surveilling me.”
“So what if I am?” Luo Shiqi said nonchalantly, taking a sip of wine.
“Don’t you like it?”
Ye Shikai had nothing to say and continued to look at the file.
“Did your subordinates find any clues about this case?” Ye Shikai put the materials aside and massaged his temples.
“No, the Underworld has many eyes and ears, but they are not omniscient, especially regarding unknown creatures.” As soon as she finished, Ye Shikai showed a look of disappointment and sighed lightly; another dead end in the case, truly regrettable.
“However, there’s someone in Yanjing who should know,” Luo Shiqi revealed a mysterious smile.
“Then tell me quickly,” Ye Shikai asked eagerly, and Luo Shiqi laughed as she handed over a piece of paper with an address.
“53 Guanghua Road, why are you giving me this?” Ye Shikai was puzzled.
“Go there and find a person named ‘Spy,’ he knows everything.”
