The Bodyguard King’s CEO Wife
Chapter 127 - 127 127 Severing One's Own Arm

127: Chapter 127: Severing One’s Own Arm 127: Chapter 127: Severing One’s Own Arm Everyone was closing in on Ye Shikai, slow to charge in at once, probably wary of his strength, or maybe looking for his weak point.

Ye Shikai was not afraid of these minions; his only concern was for Su Qingyu.

“Attack.” Someone shouted, and the rest pounced, moving with an astonishing speed that was beyond ordinary humans.

It turned out they were all cultivators.

Ye Shikai wouldn’t have found it strange if they were just twenty or so assassins, but these were twenty-odd cultivators – indeed, not a force to be taken lightly.

They thrust their sharp weapons at him, aiming to overwhelm by numbers.

Ye Shikai sneered.

Did they really think they could defeat him with a war of attrition?

His Inner Strength circulated swiftly within his body, forming two Qi Blades in his hands.

While darting about, his arms swung continuously as well.

“Is this the extent of your power?” In just two exchanges, six black-clad men had fallen, each with a thrust to the throat, so fast they couldn’t defend.

The remaining men retreated, maintaining their standoff, no longer daring to act rashly.

The female assassin trembled in shock – she had not anticipated such formidable strength from this man.

Their master had sent so many cultivators, yet they were powerless before him.

The female assassin was well aware of the terrifying power of the man before her.

Being able to externalize Inner Strength and form Qi Blades was a fearsome realm – most cultivators only used Inner Strength to enhance speed and power.

Ye Shikai faced the dozen or so remaining foes.

Despite their evident wariness, there was not a hint of fear in their eyes.

These men must be Death Soldiers, secretly trained to complete the mission or die trying.

Since they chose not to recognize their plight, Ye Shikai would show no mercy.

Ye Shikai turned his Inner Strength into blades, charging at the men ahead with speed like the wind and movements like a shadow, leaving the crowd at a loss on how to defend.

His Qi Blades, reminiscent of the Death God’s scythe, reaped a life with each strike.

Gradually, only four remained.

“Stop.” The female assassin demanded, pressing a dagger against Su Qingyu’s neck.

Ye Shikai immediately retracted his Inner Strength, not daring to advance rashly.

“Mr.

Ye, you indeed are powerful – even so many cultivators could not best you.”

Nonsense, he was the Netherworld King, after all.

These minions didn’t even deserve a second glance.

Ye Shikai inwardly cursed the female assassin’s despicable trick, using his wife as leverage.

“Release her, and my life is yours to take,” Ye Shikai said indifferently.

“That won’t do.

Mr.

Ye, with your extraordinary skills, if I release her, how could I possibly kill you?” the female assassin chuckled, not loosening her grip on the dagger one bit.

“Mr.

Ye, please sever your own arms, and then I will free her,” the female assassin declared, drawing a short blade from her waist and tossing it in front of her, provocatively sliding the dagger before Su Qingyu to indicate that if Ye Shikai did not submit, Su Qingyu’s life would be in danger.

Just then, Su Qingyu began to wake, her eyes bleary.

Surveying the surroundings, she remembered that moments before she was just outside the company, then suddenly passed out.

She stirred slightly and realized she was bound tightly to a chair – she had been kidnapped.

She swiftly came to her senses, and saw the bodies scattered across the ground, and Ye Shikai, standing amidst the corpses.

Su Qingyu had never seen such a sight before and screamed in terror.

“Miss Su, finally awake,” the female assassin smiled, pressing the dagger to Su Qingyu’s cheek as if it would slice her skin with the faintest touch.

“Who are you and why have you kidnapped me?

If it’s money you want, I can give it to you right away, just let both of us go,” Su Qingyu calmly said.

This was not the time to panic, especially when her life hung by a thread.

Looking at the woman before her, Su Qingyu could not recall having offended anyone like her.

“Bringing you here is obviously someone’s order.

Miss Su, do you want to see how much your husband loves you?

Now, he’s ready to exchange your life for his limbs,” the woman said.

Ye Shikai now longed to rush over and kill her.

Once a Local Tyrant, the more someone stood at the top of the power pyramid, the less they tolerated threats.

“Ye Shikai, drop the knife,” Su Qingyu urged, finally seeing the man opposite her, his body soaked in blood, still holding a sharp blade against his arm, understanding his intention.

“Put down the knife!” Su Qingyu yelled, struggling relentlessly, while the female assassin held her down.

Why had she been so cold and dismissive to this man before?

Yet now, he was ready to amputate his arm for her.

Su Qingyu’s eyes reddened, tears uncontrollably streaming down her cheeks.

“Wife, for you, I’d sacrifice even my life, let alone an arm,” Ye Shikai smiled.

If it ever came to a point where only one of them could live, Ye Shikai would surely choose her.

Grasping the dagger, Ye Shikai placed it against his arm and thrust it in.

The sharp blade penetrated his flesh and blood promptly welled out.

The female assassin watched, her face twisting into an excited, savage grin.

Without his arm, his power would wane significantly, and soon both would be like lambs to the slaughter.

“No!” Su Qingyu’s wail was heart-wrenching.

Blood drenched his arm, dripping steadily to the ground.

As the knife penetrated the artery, blood sprayed out.

Su Qingyu’s heart was a mix of pain, regret, tenderness, and remorse…

Ye Shikai’s face grew pale; his Inner Strength continued to circulate to prevent death, but his body weakened from excessive bleeding.

“Bang.” Just then, a flash of light struck from afar through the window, aiming at the dagger in the assassin’s hand.

Sparks flew upon impact, stunning the assassin as her dagger broke.

A bullet mark appeared on the ground – the light had been a bullet.

“A sniper!” The female assassin screamed, looking out the window.

Ye Shikai realized this was his chance – he needed to strike fatally.

Snatching up the dagger, he lunged at the female assassin’s throat.
