Chapter 73: Iris: Event 3

MY LIPS keep itching for more friction, but the sounds of people laughing and talking in the background manage to keep me sane.

I think it’s working on Lucas too. His kiss is soft and slow, a little on the peck side. He doesn’t devour me like I’m used to, no, it’s more like he’s aiming to cement his statement from before.

When he pulls himself away from me, my body immediately protests. I want more, but it’s neither the right place nor time for me to be making such demands.

"Sorry," Lucas chuckles, slowly licking his lips as if to seduce me, "I smudged your lipstick."

Opening my purse, I take out the small mirror and my red Adder lipstick, immediately fixing the error whilst he watches, still licking his lips and smirking at me. His eyes ooze of sex aura, as if he too wants to devour me but he’s conscious of where we are.

"I can’t wait for this to end so we can be alone together," he adds, grabbing my hands once I’m done. "Are you ready to go inside now?"

Rubbing my necklace, I nod at him, smiling. "I was born ready."

"That’s my girl."

My heart thuds in my chest as he pulls us into the main event. I can feel my cheeks heat up, and my hands are sweaty. All this from just being called his girl.

"I arranged for us to sit on the top table with the others so you won’t feel uncomfortable, but there’s one other person who’ll have to fill a vacant seat at the table," Lucas bends himself so I can hear him over the chattering going on around us.

"Andrews!" An old man in the crowd exclaims as he outstretches his hand to greet him. Lucas accepts it without letting go of me.

"Mr. Wilson. Oh, am I pleased to meet you?"

"Such a great event you’ve got running here. Your father said you were the mastermind behind it all," Mr. Wilson hits him playfully on the back. "You’re all grown up eyy."

"I had the right team to help me with the planning," Lucas returns the gentle tap. "Here’s one of them. Mr. Wilson, meet Adders magazine’s finest editor, Iris Morris. Iris, meet the CEO of our hotel, Mr. Wilson," he says gently tugging me forward and letting go of me.

Extending my hand and doing my best to keep my businesswoman composure, I gently smile at the old man. "Pleased to meet you, sir."

"You too young woman." He pauses, looking between Lucas and me with a cunning smile on his lips. "Is she your girlfriend?"

First blood.

My composure falters and I look to the ground. Much to my dismay, the old man starts laughing. "Forgive my manners but I just couldn’t help myself."

Like the main lead in my book, my knight in shining armor steps forward, bringing with him the aura from before that sends shivers all over my body from head to toe. Taking my hand, he intertwines our fingers.

"Yes, we’re dating."

Double kill!

Is it normal to feel like I could get wet from his calling me his woman? If this is what he feels when I jokingly call him daddy, then I’ve been playing dirty all this time.

Squeezing my hand a little bit more without hurting me, Lucas pulls me forward until I’m standing next to him. Then I feel his large hands wrapping around my waist, taking the entire small thing in his palm like he’s already accustomed to it. Then again, I guess he is since we’ve had sex a couple of times now.

Oh for crying out loud.

I wanted to at least keep my cool in front of him tonight.

"That’s a beautiful woman you’ve found for yourself, Lucas. Make sure to keep her or I’ll steal her away from you," Mr. Wilson jokes patting his back once again before turning to me with a wide smile on his face.

"Just so you know, you’re the first woman he’s ever declared as his girlfriend, which makes you his first am I right?" He shrugs turning on his heel and heading off to his next person of interest.

I’m left bewildered, blushing like all my blood has left the rest of my body and frozen all over my face. As if to further mock me, Lucas lowers his lips onto my neck until his breath is brushing on my skin.

"He’s right you know. You’re my first, and I don’t plan on backing out on being your first either."

Holy shit. Can that qualify as a confession?

Raising my eyes until they meet his mint green hues, I do my best to smirk. "That makes the two of us, Luke."

"Call me daddy. I like it."

"Oh. And what will be my reward if I do?" I raise my brows.

"Anything you want baby."

Smirking boldly I tug at his ear, pulling it such that it’s on my lips. "Let’s go sit, Daddy."

I hadn’t taken the time to look around the tent before, but now that I am, it’s beautiful. The tent by itself is massive. They could have gone for two tents but I guess the company is powerful enough to afford such a big one like this. It could take up the entire yard at my house, or even eat up the entire space outside the durawall.

The light blue designs dangling over the lights are making the inside look like a sky, especially since they put in a few whites that look like clouds. It’s 3D like we’re the only ones in daylight right now.

As for the tables and chairs, they’re transparent. The design isn’t that rare, but something about the setup is making it seem that way. Especially the VIP tables were we’re seated. Lucas made sure to save space for us and I’ve got to say, I love the attention we’re getting.

It’s making me feel proud for being introduced as his girlfriend to the whole world, and the jealous stares I’m getting from the other girls are kind of fueling me. Knowing I can make him go wild by just calling him daddy and they can’t is making me feel powerful.

"Excuse me, can I pass through?" Comes a small sweet voice that could only belong to a kid.

Lucas withdraws his legs so she can pass with her large doll, and when she keeps bumping into him, he assists her with carrying it so she can pass through—even though there’s enough space between the tables for her and the doll to move freely around. Either way, I watch as the two interact gleefully about the doll.

Apparently, he’s a character in some anime that they’ve both watched, and I don’t know if it’s by sheer coincidence that they both like him, but it’s too cute watching them talk. Lucas keeps matching her pace and even though I can’t under what she’s saying, he seems to have a pure understanding of it all.

Patting her head, he smiles at her. "Monkey san and I will be watching you perform, okay?"

"Promise?" The small girl replies, eyes glistening with childhood expectation.

"Yes. Go do a good job."

Now that I’m scanning her, she seems to be dressed for some performance. A white floral dress with a matching wand and glistening ornaments on her hair which is tied back into a slick ponytail. She storms off in the distance towards a group of children dressed in outfits that match hers, although she looks like the main character tonight.

The moment she stands in front of the other kids on the runway at the center of the tent, the small boys behind her begin hitting their drums and the crowd of small children immediately moves in accordance to the beat. Then the small girl from before begins swinging her wand around as she leads the crowd.

The audience immediately stops talking and a few of them start clapping, myself included. The children walk to the center of the tent before the drummers remove their drums and place them on the floor. Then pop music starts to bop and they dance in unison like they’ve been training for this moment all their life.

It’s right when they’re still dancing to Taylor Swift’s Shake It Off that she comes in. Red dress cupping her boobs and ass with a waist so tiny it could compete with mine, and skin so smooth I could run my fingers there and they’d slide through without feeling a bump, not to mention that face.

Honey, I thought I was pretty but this one is a goddess. She looks out of this world, an ethereal being no less. I don’t even blame everyone for turning their attention from the kids just so they can look at her, i mean, I’m looking at her too.

She scans the tables for a few seconds before she makes eye contact with me, and then she starts making her way towards me, sashaying so good I could pay to see her walking on the runway.

When she reaches our table, a wide smile appears on her face and she walks past me before pulling a seat next to Lucas. Then it all makes sense.

She wasn’t looking at me. She was looking at Lucas! And that smile, it felt like she was saying something to him behind it. My eyes turn to Lucas and in an instant, my heart goes numb.

He’s smiling at her too.
