Song Qiao’s mind was still a bit hazy. Having heard Lu Jingchen’s words, she subconsciously shook her head and said, "No need, I’ll just hail a taxi back later!"

Lu Jingchen glanced at the road teeming with vehicles upon hearing her words, then turned to look at her and said, "It’s the rush hour for getting off work now, it’s hard to catch a taxi here. Song Qiao nodded, jumped out of the car, and watched as Lu Jingchen’s vehicle drove away. After a while, she belatedly realized that the man hadn’t even asked where she worked...

Looking down at her phone, she saw the man’s number saved, with the note ’Lu Jingchen’!

Looking at the three characters of the name, Song Qiao was somewhat surprised; why did she feel the name looked familiar, as if she had seen it somewhere before?

Her brain swiftly cycled through possibilities, but she couldn’t remember where she had seen it. Just then, her phone suddenly began to ring!

As soon as Song Qiao saw the caller ID, she immediately cursed under her breath. She had actually forgotten to visit her grandfather at the hospital!

Quickly pressing the answer button to her ear, she hurriedly said, "Nurse Zhang, I was held up by something just now. I’m on my way to the hospital. Please let the doctor know to wait for a while; I’ll be there soon!"

The Nurse Zhang on the other end of the line had initially thought something had happened to her but, hearing her say this she couldn’t help but let out a sigh of relief, hastily acknowledging her!

After hanging up the phone, Song Qiao immediately indulged herself by flagging down a taxi and rushed to the hospital!

By the time Song Qiao arrived at the hospital, it was already twenty minutes later. She didn’t hesitate and went straight to her grandfather’s attending doctor!

Inside the doctor’s office, Song Qiao sat on a chair, while the bespectacled doctor on the other side was looking down at the medical records. After a long while, he looked up at Song Qiao and said, "Miss Song, your grandfather’s surgery must be performed as soon as possible.
