"Can you still wear this? Why not iron it before wearing it?" Long Shangxuan smiled like a gentle breeze in the early spring, and his fingers quickly retracted.

That attentive care was like a fresh spring gently tapping at Hua Xiaomo’s heart, making her face grow even redder.

Such ambiguous and intimate behavior, however, caused Manager Zhou Xiyang to feel exasperated.

"Sir, our uniforms are regularly ironed..." Zhou Xiyang began to say.

Looking at Hua Xiaomo’s lapel, it seemed quite smooth. What was this man implying?

"Is that so? Then why does the person wearing it still feel uncomfortable?" Long Shangxuan replied with a light smile, his gaze resting on Hua Xiaomo’s face, the smile elegant.

Zhou Xiyang was so annoyed that he was at a loss for words, and his eyes turned towards Hua Xiaomo. "Xiao Mo, do you feel uncomfortable anywhere in your uniform?"

"I..." Hua Xiaomo was stunned, looking at the two men; she was still confused about the situation.

However, a thought flashed through her mind. She glanced at Long Shangxuan. Why would he say such a thing?

"Are you trying to pressure her into admitting something by questioning her like this? As her manager, you should be well aware that in such a hot environment, making an employee wear this thick, long-sleeved jacket could lead to profuse sweating and even the possibility of fainting from exertion."

Long Shangxuan deliberately spoke with great seriousness, his gaze sweeping over to Hua Xiaomo. "Xiao Mo, don’t worry about work for now. I’ll take you out for a break." His words overflowed with concern.

Long Shangxuan was articulate and forceful, leaving Zhou Xiyang unable to respond, yet feeling so defiant.

"I’m not sure that’s a good idea, Brother Long. I’m still working. Why don’t you wait for me a bit longer? After this shift ends, I can rest without issue," Hua Xiaomo said. Seeing a job through from start to finish was her principle.

Seeing her determination, Long Shangxuan smiled softly. "Alright, I’ll wait."

The understanding between the two of them essentially left no room for anyone else to intervene. Manager Zhou Xiyang wanted to join in but felt completely outmatched and had no choice but to withdraw.

And so, while Hua Xiaomo worked, a handsome guy watched her from not far away, smiling gently. Meanwhile, another half-blooded handsome man was feeling quite uncomfortable.

For a while, the atmosphere in McDonald’s grew rather strange.

After about fifteen minutes, her shift ended. Hua Xiaomo changed out of her uniform, said goodbye to her colleagues, and then left McDonald’s with Long Shangxuan.

Zhou Xiyang watched, green with envy, yet utterly helpless to stop Hua Xiaomo from leaving.

Coincidentally, Qi Longbing had been searching for Hua Xiaomo at the academy for a long time. He couldn’t reach her because her phone was turned off. Growing increasingly sullen, he eventually made his way to the academy’s side entrance.

Looking up, he saw the Ouhong Shopping Mall right there. An idea suddenly struck him.

"Yu Bao, go check it out over there," he ordered.

Yu Bao clearly understood what he meant, but considering the situation, he spoke frankly, "President Qi, Hua Xiaomo couldn’t possibly be shopping there; she hasn’t taken your Gold Card."

After all, that mall was a high-end establishment in City A, beyond the reach of average people.

"Not shopping? Perhaps she’s just browsing or doing something else? While you’re at it, check the McDonald’s there," Qi Longbing commanded coldly, his eyes harboring an unpredictable dark glint.
