"Get in." Qi Longbing walked up with a flirtatious smile, his eyes gleaming.

Hua Xiaomo glanced at him but didn’t move for a moment. "Where is this carriage going?"

"Such pointless questions. Won’t you find out once we’re there?" Qi Longbing said with a smile.

But she still didn’t move.

Hua Xiaomo looked at him. No matter how I look at him, he seems to have ill intentions.

"Surely not, Miss Hua. Are you really that timid? I’m not a wolf... What are you afraid of?" Qi Longbing said with a wicked laugh. He spread his arms, stretching them back over the carriage’s seatback, and watched her expression with amusement.

Just then, a night breeze swept over, disarraying her short hair across the corners of her eyes. This made her well-defined features seem even more slender and exquisitely pretty, suddenly exuding an indescribable, distinctive charm.

The breeze, instead of unsettling her, seemed to clear her mind.

Gazing at him, Hua Xiaomo suddenly smiled. "If you’re a wolf, then I’m the hunter. I’m not afraid!"

Then, she slung her backpack over one shoulder and boarded the carriage without further hesitation.

Sometimes, fear solves nothing. Only by maintaining a fearless heart can one prevail over all evil.

"Well said..." Qi Longbing’s eyes involuntarily narrowed slightly, a roguish glint tinged with insidiousness showing in them. "You might as well bring your sketchpad."

He watched her get into the carriage and the door close. Then, Qi Longbing pressed the remote control inside. Soon, the carriage transported them to another, secret location within the Banshan Palace Villa.

This was a towering structure, similar to a television tower, that Qi Longbing had specially built. Hidden deep in the mountains, it was not easily discoverable. No one would have imagined that his carriage could take them directly to the top of that tower.

The city lights below glittered beautifully under the night sky. From the vantage point of these floor-to-ceiling glass windows, one could take in the entire city’s nightscape below. Looking up, one could also fully take in the vast, starry expanse above. Witnessing such an enchanting panorama was truly an ultimate pleasure.

When Hua Xiaomo followed Qi Longbing here, she began to feel uncomfortable—not for any other reason, but simply because the lighting was too dim.

"Where are the lights?" Hua Xiaomo asked.

"This place doesn’t have lights," Qi Longbing said, casually leaning back on a sofa, his gaze drifting languidly towards the starry sky.

Hua Xiaomo froze for a moment. She looked at his relaxed posture, and a thought struck her. Just as she was about to speak, he spoke first, "Miss Hua, what do you usually like to paint?"

When the conversation turned to painting, Hua Xiaomo thought of her bleak and colorless prospects, and a faint melancholy tinged her bright eyes. Instead of answering, she retorted, "What’s that to you?"

The corners of Qi Longbing’s lips lifted into a slight curve, appearing particularly enigmatic and somewhat sinister in the darkness.

This top floor was designed for stargazing and viewing the city lights. Aside from a few colored lamps in the corners, the entire space was suffused with a romantic ambiance.

"Miss Hua, you seem to harbor some hostility towards me, don’t you?" Qi Longbing remarked, his lips curling into that roguish smirk as he gave a cool smile.
