The Billionaire's Cursed Heiress -
Chapter 46: FAN MEETING 2
Chapter 46: Chapter 46: FAN MEETING 2
Zara had no qualms about being carried, whether by Quinn or the other people who worked for her. After getting used to such treatment, she no longer felt that there was anything weird about it.
So, what if people saw her being treated that way? It wasn’t like she could do otherwise and pretend that she was healthy and faring well.
At the moment, she was still sick and until she finished the mission, it would remain that way.
Although the spring water was currently keeping her alive, it was guaranteed that her life wouldn’t be saved completely due to it.
Besides, she wanted to be somehow truthful to the people who had supported her and made her feel like she wasn’t alone during the time she was constrained inside the house.
It wasn’t about pity but being self-confident enough to show herself who she really was to the world. When she got better, she just hoped that everyone would be happy for her.
With everyone gathered inside, Zara and her group didn’t delay after getting out of the car but headed there straight.
In order to save more time to interact with her fans, Zara had her oxygen mask on. She could only breathe freely for at least four hours a day without having issues.
She didn’t want to waste such precious moments, so being safe was of greater importance.
ZARA: I am excited. This is the first time in a very long time, I am meeting so many people.
Since Zara couldn’t speak due to the mask, she excitedly signed, completely ignorant that she was being watched already.
However, after streaming her life for so many hours a day, Zara no longer cared about what people really saw her do. There was no need to pretend but just follow her heart.
Emma smiled upon seeing what her Miss was saying.
"In the future, we will see more. Let’s gather thousands of people next time!" Emma dotingly supported.
Zara’s eyes sparkled as she looked at her nanny.
ZARA: One day is one day.
The group finally made their way to the hall.
Zara was a bit nervous seeing the several guards guarding the door that she would be using to enter the hall.
There was no need to keep any suspense since the whole thing was already being streamed.
So as soon as the organizers saw Zara, they hurriedly opened the door allowing Ava who had taken over the wheelchair to wheel Zara inside.
As for Quinn, it was not viable for him to appear in public lest people he knew connect the dots and bring harm to Zara.
The people surrounding Zara were enough to safeguard her. Although he was a bit greedy and wanted to be by her side, he knew what not to do and what to do. So, he remained outside.
Zara raised her hand the second she was wheeled into the hall, receiving a loud cheer from the fans.
"PRINCESS!"
"She is here!"
"We love you!"
"You rock!"
Hearing the fans cheering for her, Zara found herself a bit teary. Seeing a barrage of comments and hearing the people’s enthusiasm was completely different.
To think that without doing much she had somehow managed to gather all these people. It still felt like a dream.
When the M.C. saw that Zara had arrived, he naturally began to do his job.
"Are you guys excited?" he asked teasingly as he looked at the enthusiastic crowd.
"Very!"
"Love you!"
Hearing the fans cheer, the M.C. knew what to do.
"I won’t take too much of your time and give the floor to PRINCESS!" without sugar coating or trying to do more than what he was hired for, the man quickly passed the floor to Zara.
Zara nodded at the man as she watched him move to the other side so that she and her people remained.
Ava dutifully removed the mask, freeing Zara from the machine that had accompanied her every single day for so many years despite the changes.
Zara didn’t bother to get the mic set up for her. With how good the live-streaming equipment was, there was really no need for it.
With the mask off, Zara’s small face came into view again. The sound of cameras flashing and fans cheering didn’t stop for a while.
During that moment, Zara was busy scanning the crowd with a smile on her face.
Being early May, Zara was already wearing a fur coat which hid her neck pretty well. Apart from her face, they all couldn’t see anything at all.
"Thank you, guys, for coming!" after being silent for a while, Zara opened her mouth and spoke.
"The pleasure is all ours!"
"It’s nice to finally see you!"
"You look prettier in real life."
Zara smiled bashfully hearing the fans’ responses.
"Before we go any further, and before I get tired. I just want to take this moment to appreciate all of you," she said solemnly as she looked at the crowd before her.
"As many of you know, or guess by now. My health isn’t particularly good and life has been a bit difficult for me. Living each day without knowing what the future holds and what will happen to me in the next second, honestly, it hasn’t been easy."
"So, a decade ago, I found solace online. Watching other people, healthier than me doing their best to provide entertainment, lessons and provide the society with something that we actually don’t know about, I was in for all of that."
"By watching a fellow brother or sister playing games, singing, dancing, cooking, eating or doing outdoor activities, although I couldn’t do it personally, by seeing them, it was as if I am part of the activity too."
"It was because of these wonderful brothers and sisters that I finally had something to always look up to every single day."
"Knowing that I will watch that streamer doing that and that, I had that hope. Maybe one day it will all fare with me and I will be well just like them. Unfortunately, time flew by and here we are."
"Although my future is still uncertain, I am glad and grateful that in these ten years, not only did I have fun by following other streamers but I also amassed a huge fan base that made me feel even more alive."
"The fact that there were millions of people out there who liked me, for any reason whatsoever, that difficult life started to get much better."
"Honestly .... I actually never thought that one day I would see some of you. I was just going to vanish from the public eye one day and let all of you forget about me. But I guess that couldn’t be helped to see how I am here, in front of you and talking like this."
"Whether I die or survive, I wanted to share my life with the people who had accompanied me for years. I didn’t want to be forgotten. At least if I am to leave this world, then let a few people remember me, this way I won’t feel lonely in the afterlife."
