Chapter 43: Chapter 43: CHARITABLE DEEDS
After the shopping, Zara returned to the car where she had her lunch that Emma had brought since they wouldn’t be returning home but would continue to go somewhere else.
After eating her porridge with vegetables, Ava inserted a drip on her and fed her some medicine.
Zara drifted to sleep as soon as she was done with all that. So, for the rest of the journey to an unknown destination, the viewers could only watch the sleeping beauty and, on the other hand, watch a new documentary that Zara’s team had put on.
It took the motorcade an hour and a half to reach the destination where they were going.
After arriving, Quinn softly woke Zara up.
Zara opened her eyes drowsily, tears threatening to drop from the corner of her eyes. Her face looked a bit puffy but overall, she looked very cute, at least to the viewers’ eyes who had been watching everything from the beginning.
"Do you want to sleep more?" Quinn asked as softly as possible as he massaged Zara’s cheeks.
Zara drowsily shook her head.
How could she continue to sleep when there was a job to do?
"Call, nurse here!" she hoarsely ordered, as she yawned once again.
"Um!" he grunted in response.
Several moments later, Ava skillfully removed the drip from Zara and made sure that she was okay before giving Quinn the go-ahead to do whatever he wanted.
After doing that, Ava excused herself and waited outside with the wheelchair. Less than a minute later, Quinn carried Zara out of the car and helped her to settle in the wheelchair once again.
After settling Zara, Quinn began to wheel Zara.
As the viewers looked at the screen, the drones were very generous and provided a 360-degree view of the place where they were.
[Oh! I know that place!]
[You are not alone! I live a few blocks away from it. Haha!]
[What place is it?]
The netizens were curious and began to ask each other in order to get the answers that Zara had refused to give them.
As others watched the screen, they all saw two trucks that were being offloaded of the goods purchased earlier today.
And when they looked closely just to check where Zara was, they were quite surprised when they saw it.
[She went to an orphanage?]
[It seems like that.]
[This ....]
Indeed, Zara had gone to an orphanage. Since she was passing by, she decided to go and check the place herself. She had been seeing a lot of photos for a few years now. She just wanted to see it even if it would be once, as the future was uncertain.
"Does it look the same?" Quinn asked softly as he wheeled Zara to the orphanage.
Zara nodded her head as she looked around.
ZARA: But it’s better seeing it in person.
Quinn smiled when he heard that.
"Indeed, some things need to be seen in person. Otherwise, how would we appreciate them?"
ZARA: I hope that I will be able to do that in the future.
Quinn felt his heart being squeezed, and he clenched his teeth with agitation after hearing what Zara had just said.
"Don’t worry. I will make you see it, no matter what!" he vowed solemnly.
He didn’t want her to die. And if worse comes to worse, he might as well just agree to that proposal to make sure that she doesn’t leave her this early.
ZARA: Don’t worry. I will try my best. I will survive.
Quinn heaved a sigh of relief upon seeing her determination. There was no way that she would want to die. There was indeed a reason why she was out here in the first place.
Maybe that cure was out there. Would she really get better by just traveling?
But that also looked to be the truth. After all, wasn’t she looking better by the day as they traveled?
"You promise?"
ZARA: I do. Just believe in me.
"I will."
This conversation baffled the viewers. After all, they were quite confused as to what they were talking about. Even if they were curious, it wasn’t like the nanny of PRINCESS would tell them what they were talking about.
However, that didn’t stop others from analyzing that short conversation, forcing it to trend for several days in the future.
Zara watched as everything she had bought was being offloaded from the trucks. Happy and smiling faces could be seen as the orphanage staff helped carry things inside. The kids that were present and not at school also gave a hand.
With all that happening, Zara spotted the matron in charge. The other was talking with Emma and after a while, the two turned to look at her.
Zara simply nodded her head at the two and continued to mind her own business.
"You don’t want to talk to her?" Quinn asked as he wheeled her around.
Zara shook her head.
ZARA: Talking is a hassle. Let’s leave it at this.
"Okay! I wouldn’t want you to tire yourself too!" Quinn agreed with Zara on that.
As for the viewers, they were now confused and unable to understand what Zara was indeed up to.
[Since she is already thee. Why can’t she talk to the matron?]
[Trying to be mysterious I guess!]
[If it were others, I bet that they would have caused a fuss and made themselves known!]
[That’s why she is different. Princess doesn’t lack money at all.]
[Could it be she just wants to take a trip and be adventurous?]
[She said it before. Didn’t she?]
It was not usual for a donor and benefactor to just donate, but not try to gain something from it.
Emma dealt with the matron easily. After all, the two were very much acquainted. Knowing that Zara wasn’t planning to reveal a lot, the two went inside and had a long conversation.
By the time they were done, all the goods had been transferred inside.
When everything was done, Zara and her people prepared to leave.
There were no photos taken, no speeches made of anything of that sort.
Before they started heading towards the car, the matron bowed respectfully towards Zara and Zara smiled brightly at the other before raising her hands.
When Emma saw that, she got ready to translate.
ZARA: Continue with the good work. You are a wonderful person!
Emma translated to the matron, and the other looked gratefully at Zara before bowing much lower than before.
Seeing that, Zara tapped Quinn’s hands, and the other began to wheel her away.
Emma said something to the matron before rushing to catch up with Zara and the others.
"Are you sure that you are fine leaving like this?"
ZARA: I have seen what I wanted to see. I have no regrets.
It’s not like she went there to show off. What she wanted to do was do.
And that was all that mattered.
