The Billionaire's Cursed Heiress -
Chapter 41: UNTITLED
Chapter 41: Chapter 41: UNTITLED
Time quickly flew by, with both ears listening to the variety show, while her hands were busy sewing and her eyes were looking closely at the piece she was making.
"Miss, it’s time!"
As Zara was finishing the second corner of the hanky, Emma reminded.
Zara stopped what she was doing and raised her head to look at the other.
"Oh! Is it already time?" she asked surprisingly as she wasn’t expecting time to move that pretty fast.
Emma smiled upon seeing Zara’s reaction. "Yes. They are quite eager now!"
When Zara heard that, she understood who Emma was talking about.
"Huh! Okay, let me address them then!"
Since the event was done, it was only right for her to finish what she had started.
The tablet was handed over to her and Zara took a look at the names that had won in the event.
"Okay, thank you everyone for participating!" Zara said smilingly as she looked at the tablet while reading some comments inwardly.
[Hehe, so where are we meeting now? I can’t wait!]
[She won’t spill the beans here, anywhere!]
[But I am envious.]
Zara read the comments and chuckled softly as she saw how enthusiastic most viewers were.
"As I have already said before, the lucky winners would receive the address before the end of the day. So just keep an eye on your inbox. My team will be sending you the information that you need," Zara softly informed the viewers.
As Quinn had left to deal with the venue issue, she still wasn’t sure which place she would be using. So, until Quinn was back, she wouldn’t be giving them anything.
[Okay, we can wait.]
[So, what we will be doing? I can’t wait!]
Zara enjoyed most interacting with fans especially when she wasn’t feeling too much tired.
So as long as she could answer their questions, Zara didn’t mind saying a thing or two.
"Honestly, this will be my first time holding something like this. So, I am not even sure what we will be doing. But I guess we can talk though I won’t be able to do so for long," Zara was helpless when she thought of that.
[Don’t worry. We will entertain you.]
[That’s true. As long as we see you, we will be fine.]
[Why bother doing something that you can’t? Is fame getting into your head?]
[Tsk, these haters. Are you just sour that you aren’t as popular as her?]
[We can play a few games.]
[Or watch you sew.]
[When you are tired of talking, you can even talk with us in sign language. I have started learning!]
[Hehe, or just find a translator.]
[No need for a translator. Don’t we have the nanny?]
The comment section was once again lively and the more she read, the more Zara felt touched.
Although there were still some negative comments now and then, they were quickly buried as her real fans supported and defended her.
"Don’t worry. I will think of something. We still have two days after all."
Zara chatted a bit with the fans before instructing the variety show to continue once again.
As it wasn’t time for her to sleep and she wasn’t sleepy at all, she decided to continue with her hanky.
After sewing three hankies, with the one she was working on being the fourth, Zara’s speed was improving greatly.
At the rate she was going, it would take her two hours to finish everything including the embroidery of the initials.
So, while she sewed, Shea’s variety show played on the screen.
With how popular Zara was, she was comparable to a big celebrity. So, when the news spread of her watching Living in the Wild, it didn’t take long before the show was trending. And mostly Shea was once again in the spotlight.
With the drama happening online, how could Shea herself not know what was happening?
As Ashely looked at the TV screen that was showing Zara’s broadcast, honestly, she didn’t even know what to think.
Her feelings were pretty complicated, and she felt muddled, especially after confronting her mother that other night after meeting up with Demel.
Until this very moment, she still felt that everything was just a dream, and that she had been lied to.
But the more she looked at her fifth sister, whom she didn’t have good feelings for because of everything that had happened between them fifteen years ago, the more she started believing that her hatred might have been a one-sided one.
While she contemplated life, Zara slowly and quietly continued to work on her hankies.
Two hours later, she smiled relievedly as she looked at the final product.
Just like before, the hanky had its owner and if the owner was watching right now, he would know that this piece was his.
As she was still new to handcrafts, and sewing, Zara decided to start sewing the male hankies. As the colors were black, it wouldn’t stress her much even if she messed up. The color wasn’t like the one she picked for the ladies, so she needed to read carefully.
"Three more to go!" she whispered as she stretched her hands.
Emma naturally picked the finished product and carefully folded it before placing it in a box where the other three were.
There were six males in her family that she needed to take notice of. Her grandfather, despite being old, was energetic and very sturdy like a tree.
Then there was her father, the man who had given her everything that she had. Followed by her two older brothers, Bradley and Demel. Then there was her uncle, her father’s younger brother, who was living abroad with his family.
And lastly Quinn, the young man who had been by her side for the longest.
So far, she had made one for Quinn, Demel, and Bradley, followed by her uncle’s.
The two remaining hankies would be for her father and grandfather. As those were the oldest and the most respected, Zara wanted to take her time to make sure that she wouldn’t make mistakes.
Filial piety towards elders differed from that of siblings. Besides, even if she made mistakes, it wasn’t like they would do anything about it. They could only accept what was given to them, otherwise the elders would fuss and they wouldn’t want that.
So, with just two remaining hankies to be made, Zara decided to start the other one once she was done with everything in city G. She would be busy from tomorrow, so there wouldn’t be any time for her to focus properly on perfecting her craft.
For now, eating and retiring for the day was what was important.
So, without delaying any further, Zara bid her viewers goodbye before going offline for a proper rest away from the netizens’ prying eyes.
And someone in a certain dark room watched icily as the screen went dark with his hands clenched into fists.
’Dear, how dare you let another man touch you so casually like that?’
