Chapter 34: Chapter 34: CITY G

"Ta.ta.ta."

"Pidi, pada."

The sounds of footsteps approaching sounded and the woman in the kitchen busy stirring a pot turned her head to check who was coming.

Upon seeing the person who was approaching, she shifted her attention back to the pot.

"Are you done already?" Emma asked as she continued to stir the pot.

"Um. I am done, and you?" Ava asked relaxingly as she looked at Emma, who had her all focused on one pot of slightly thick porridge.

"Almost. Just need a bit of stirring and will be ready to serve!" Emma cheerfully responded.

The two accompanied each other in the kitchen as the porridge was cooked thoroughly.

Upstairs, Quinn was busy as he gently put the gloves on Zara’s hands. Her hands, as usual, were very soft and small. It was as if he was touching a baby’s hand.

"Which places do you want to go today?" he asked as he continued his duty of helping her put on the remaining pieces, he stopped Ava from doing earlier.

"Um. Shopping mall first!" Zara’s eyes lit up at the thought of going shopping.

Quinn smiled upon seeing her happy face. To think that the small things that others took for granted would make his princess act like this. He truly hated the illness that came from nowhere and now couldn’t be ridden off.

"What will you buy?" he was curious.

"Hehe, that’s a secret!" she stuck out her tongue playfully at him, making him chuckle softly as he found her actions very cute and adorable.

It wasn’t long before Quinn was done helping Zara with what was remaining.

After that, he carried her in his arms and brought her downstairs to the dining room, where food was starting to be served.

Quinn didn’t bother to let Zara sit in her wheelchair, but let her sit on his lap before dutifully feeding her very gently and carefully.

The two ladies were already used to seeing such things, so they simply ate their breakfast quickly before they started preparing for the items needed to go out.

Nearly an hour later, after Zara started eating, she was in a limousine with her head lying on Quinn’s lap.

She had her eyes closed as she felt a bit sleepy after taking the pills that Ava had given her.

With Zara settled in the car, the motorcade that comprised of four SUVs and a stretched limo departed the villa complex, causing a scene and attracting a lot of people.

’Just who are those people?’ they wondered.

As for Zara, she slept all the way and was unable to enjoy the scenery properly. Getting her sleep was of utter importance than watching some buildings and trees.

From where they were staying to the shopping mall that Zara specifically wanted to go, it took the motorcade at least two hours, since they were also moving not very fast.

Afraid of jolting her awake, the cars could only move at a much slower speed than normal.

When the cars arrived, they attracted a lot of attention. It was impossible to not see them and not be curious about them.

"Which family is this again?"

"Probably some elder."

"Why elder?"

"The young ones always drive around the expensive cars. Where have you ever seen them moving in such cars?"

"That’s true. I am quite curious as well."

While the commoners were curious about the owner of the motorcade and others were envious since they couldn’t even afford a single bicycle, in a certain corner, three luxurious cars were parked.

Leaning against the cars were three youths, two young women and a young man. The three of them were all good-looking and were dressed in designer clothes from head to toe.

Where they were parking their cars, there were only seven more cars and all of them were of high caliber. One might even say that the certain area they were in was an area where only these sorts of cars were parked.

With how expensive they were, the shopping mall management didn’t dare to be reckless and let the cars mingle. If these cars got scratched or run into, who would compensate?

So, to avoid such issues from arising, a dedicated parking was prepared. That way, there would be fewer issues in the future.

The motorcade that just came from nowhere attracted these three. Seeing it, they couldn’t help but be surprised.

"Whose family elder is going shopping today?"

"Um, I doubt it’s an elder. Nowadays, don’t they have these personal shoppers who run errands for them?"

"Could it be those people?"

"Oh! Do you mean those upstarts? But I don’t think it’s them. That limo’s plate just feels fishy!"

The three continued to analyze the motorcade while they rummaged through their brains for who the person inside might be.

"Why don’t we check?"

"Are you sure that it’s the right thing to do?"

"Who knows? If it’s an elder, let’s just leave a good impression on him or her and if it’s a youth, then we make friends."

"Hehe, that’s a very good idea. But let’s wait until they are out. We must not rush, otherwise it will backfire on us."

"That’s true. Let’s wait!"

and the trio waited patiently.

Back to the motorcade. After the cars stopped, Quinn took his time to wake Zara up. and when she was finally awake, he wiped her face with a warm towel and applied some cream on her face.

When he was done, he took out a face mask with a beautiful ZARA brand on it and put it on her face. He also checked to see if there was anything he was missing, but after doing so for a while, everything seemed perfect.

So, he pressed a button, and moments later, the door to the limo was opened.

Quinn skillfully gathered Zara in his arms before carrying her safely out of the car and under the curious eyes of many, gently placed her in the wheelchair that was already prepared and ready to roll.

Zara adjusted in the wheelchair and let Quinn cover half of her body with the baby blue fur blanket. The wheelchair had a bag at the back which contained everything that she would need just in case something happened.

As she wasn’t wearing the oxygen mask, more preparations needed to be made.
