Chapter 197: Chapter 197: THE FIRST WEDDING 5

"I still remember when I first saw you. My first thought was this person must be up to no good. Otherwise, why is he doing this to me?" recalling the time when she was in Lingren Village, rummaging through the village for the ring and then Amir sent her a message, which shook her. She couldn’t help but smile.

Back then, Amir messaged her at night and told her that he had what she wanted, but for him to give it to her, they must meet.

She had never met any strangers and even barely met her own family members. So how could he meet others casually?

However, that ring, she desperately wanted it. And to get it, even if it meant risking her health for a brief moment, she was willing to do it.

She didn’t tell Quinn about Amir or the ring. Knowing how protective this younger brother of hers was, she didn’t dare tell him anything. What if he spoils everything?

In the end, the next day, she and Amir met and had their first date in the flower field. On that day, Amir asked her if she believed in fate.

At that time, feeling a bit upset, she had denied it. After all, her life seemed to be following fate and with what was happening to her, the book and the spiritual water, she just didn’t want to believe anything.

And yet he was so daring, boastfully telling her that he believed in fate and the two of them were fated.

As much as she wanted to deny that fact, the moment he took out the ring, she knew that this assumption might be real. What was she going to do?

She wore the ring just to try it and ever since then; she had never managed to take it out. As she made her vows at that moment, the beautiful ring was still on her finger, as if she was born with it. That’s how determined the deities of fate were to get them together.

She didn’t know when the ring would slip from her finger again, but now it no longer mattered. She felt at ease seeing it there. It was hers, so it might as well stay there.

"It would have been nice if we had met when I was fully healed, but this is still fine. Seeing you here with me on this day despite how I am, I feel reassured. He loves me and for that, I am grateful.

I don’t have much to offer. I am not perfect and there is a lot that I can’t do and won’t see myself doing, but I will do my best to love you and provide a warm home and family. I love you, Amir. I may not show it all the time, but always remember that."

Zara also spoke her vows, and everyone was dead silent. It wasn’t every day that Zara spoke so much and emotional words, which made those listening feel teary.

The last time she talked too much was when she burst out after dropping the wedding bomb. After that, she returned to her usual self. The one who spoke when it was necessary.

"I know, dear. I know!" he couldn’t help but acknowledge, his gaze assuring Zara that he knew her feelings for him pretty well.

Zara smiled with relief at getting that response. She felt blessed.

She wasn’t good at expressing her affection too much, despite being warmer than Amir when it comes to appearances. And yet Amir surpassed her in this emotion business, it made her worry.

Thankfully, he understood her, and she didn’t have to worry about this at all.

When the vows were exchanged, everyone burst into applause, rising to their feet. It made Zara feel shy.

After the standing ovation, Selena continued with the ceremony and ended it as quickly as possible.

All elders had one request: don’t tire Zara out. So, the ceremony had to end quickly.

There were no kisses involved. The elders objected to having their darling engage in such acts, especially in public. So, when the veil was removed, Amir embraced Zara, their height difference fully showing it got a lot of ladies thinking.

Afterwards, Amir was brought to the elders where he and Zara both received blessings and listened to the elders preaching for a while before everyone moved to the next tent.

In the next rent, there were twelve tables for the guests and another for the wedded couple. This was the tent where food was going to be eaten and everyone relaxing and so forth.

Zara didn’t take off her gown but continued wearing it. She didn’t have the energy to undress and dress repeatedly.

At the reception, there was a buffet, which meant that everyone could dish whatever they wanted and make do with it.

With everyone being family, everyone was at ease and the happiness was overloaded.

Zara was a big eater, so her plate was filled with her normal portions and seeing those small portions, Lena started having a headache.

If they were to rely on the food intake, her daughter’s growth might end up taking much longer than she expected.

Thankfully, the old cow-eating young grass didn’t seem to mind, so she might as well enjoy herself and celebrate.

The reception went well. It was all about eating, talking, listening to music and, lastly, dancing.

Zara and Amir took the first dance, which was a bit messy, but thankfully, Amir took the lead, so it was saved.

When their dance finished, everyone else joined, making the scene more particular.

After dancing for a brief moment, Diamond and Elora, Amir’s sister, returned to their table for a rest.

"You can dance pretty well!" Elora couldn’t help but speak to Diamond in Rozinya’s language.

Diamond was fluent in the language, so speaking to her was never an issue.

"Hehe, I just try my best. After all, what’s life without some bit of fun?"

"That’s true. We need to have some fun in life. Otherwise, it will be too dull!" Eora said with a heavy sigh as she looked at her brother and Zara, who were having so much fun.

Her worry about the future, these coming few days, filled her despite the joyful mood. She didn’t dare try to even think about it.

"You don’t have to worry!" suddenly Diamond said as she patted Elora’s shoulder, making the other look at Diamond.

"I_"

"There is a reason why I am here!" Diamond said boastfully, a mysterious smile on her face, that of a person hiding something and Elora, seeing that, her eyes couldn’t help but light up.

Diamond had saved the day so many times before. As long as she finds a way, then wouldn’t it be possible for them to turn the wheels again this time?

"What do we need to do?" Elora asked directly, without asking what Diamond was going to do and how she was going to do it.

People have secrets and those associated with the heavens tend to be kept to the blessed people.

As long as she knows the way, the process might as well be kept to the owner.

Diamond heard that a glint of appreciation flashed in her eyes before she leaned forward to Elora and whispered something in her ears.

It wasn’t time for others to know what was going on after all.
