Chapter 158: AUCTION

Chapter 158: Chapter 158: AUCTION

With all the ups and downs that Zara’s team had been doing the whole afternoon, the time for Zara to get ready for real finally arrived.

With the broadcast showing a variety show, Zara was taken to the bathroom, where she received her second bath for the day.

After the bath, Zara was dressed up nicely in white, matching her beautiful hair, which hid perfectly in the warm fur hat.

Zara’s face looked fresh and clean. There was no make-up done for her. After all, she hadn’t used any in her life. And with the Divine Glow cream given to her, it became even unnecessary for her to think otherwise.

When everything was done, the broadcast shortly returned to her while the other half of the screen continued the episode.

No matter what, they can’t leave the viewers hanging just because Zara is finished with her chores.

The manor and the auction hall were a distance away, so they had to leave early.

Without wasting time, everyone boarded the cars and went inside Zara’s car. There was Zara, Quinn, Lisa, Emma and Ava.

Quinn sat with the driver while the four sat at the back. Since Zara was using a limo instead of an SUV, the ladies could all sit together in one car.

"What are going to buy today?" sitting in the front, Quinn asked curiously, turning his head a bit to take a look at Zara.

Since the partition wasn’t up, both sides could see each other pretty well.

"Um. I am curious too. What will you buy?"

"I bet that there will be a lot of great things. This is one of the major auctions here, after all!" Lisa chirped in without mentioning any names.

Although she was certain that these fans knew where they were, she didn’t risk it by exposing their location just like that. It was simply too scary.

Zara beamed as she thought of the answers. After a moment, she opened her mouth and started responding.

"I guess I will have to check with what is there. As long as I like it and I can afford it, I will do my best to buy it!" being earnest about her response.

She didn’t have to worry about the issue of money. Her parents had made sure that she wouldn’t have to worry about that at all.

So as long as the competition wasn’t fierce and she could afford it, she was going to go all out.

With that topic in play, the group had something fun to talk about and with everyone having fun; it wasn’t long until they arrived at the auction house.

Glancing at the venue from the car, Zara sucked a mouthful of cold air, amazed by what she was seeing outside.

"Just how rich are the attendees?" she couldn’t help but voice out her thoughts as she looked at the number of sports cars, luxurious cars and the great number of reporters and cameras flashing constantly, snapping moments of the attendees who were dressed beautifully and handsomely as they walked on the red carpet.

Quinn smiled to himself as he looked at the people outside as well.

"Miss, we are in the capital city. How can people here be poor?"

Zara sighed helplessly as she massaged her temples. "You can never underestimate people!" ’I thought that people here wouldn’t be as rich as people in our country, but who could have known?’ and thought that last past inwardly without voicing out that thought out loud.

As a proud Eastern Idian person, a continent known for its richness, technology and so forth, she was used to seeing rich people. You can say that everyone on her continent carries this kind of superiority that can never leave their bones.

There were certain continents which always raised questions marks. This couldn’t be blamed on her. After all, she grew up hearing about it a lot.

There were Afreeka and Orkney. Maybe it was because the majority were blacks in those two countries and people from other continents like hers tend to see these two continents as third worlds despite the year being 2079. The prejudice was a bit too much.

There were continents where people wouldn’t expect to see a lot of rich people. Of course, in every place, there would be at least one rich person, but seeing so many in one place, she couldn’t help but wonder to herself.

’Did the internet lied to her?’

And as she stepped out of the car later that evening, she finally admitted that it wasn’t good to judge the book by its cover.

Rather than hearing something, seeing was believing. And that was more of the case as she spotted a convoy of sports cars, the brands all pretty known to her; Dentley, Angel, Cagda and others.

How could there be cars worth a lot of millions on a continent which was supposed to be backward?

But on another thought, from the second she arrived in Athary, where did she see the backwardness?

Even the place where she was staying now could have art pieces worth more than a billion Dynalis dollars. What more of other places?

Rather than having that kind of thinking, she might as well just believe that as much superior as she thought she and her people were, so were others.

Fortunately, she wasn’t the only white-colored person around. Otherwise, she would have felt out of place.

As someone who was invited to the auction, she naturally had to walk on the red carpet and the thousands watched all this in her broadcast.

With the drones invisible, who could know that she was still streaming?

Besides, the organizers didn’t reject her streaming, otherwise, she wouldn’t be streaming right now.

However, she couldn’t let the others know that she was live streaming, although their faces were blurred right now.

Who knows what troubles she would invite by doing so?

With her thoughts sorted, Zara started her walk on the red carpet, surrounded by the four people who cared most about her at that moment.

As for being in the front to gain attention. Why should she do so?

Who knows what kind of danger she might face just because she wanted some bit of attention?

Was the number of people watching her right now even small?
