The Billionaire's Cursed Heiress -
Chapter 149: A LUXURIOUS GALLERY
Chapter 149: Chapter 149: A LUXURIOUS GALLERY
[My mother just found me kneeling, and she is wondering why I am kneeling. How can I tell her that I just saw her favorite painting hanging in Manor’s private gallery like it’s nothing?]
[I am even crying right now. Did you count how many paintings are in that gallery?]
[All I saw were famous paintings. I mean, aren’t they afraid of attracting thieves with so much money in one setting?]
[Look in that right corner. Damn, is that a gold statue?]
[look next to the statue, something is sparkling there!]
The viewers couldn’t be blamed at all. After all, what they were seeing was something completely out of this world.
Inside the gallery, there were a lot of paintings and the majority of them were all from famous painters. The kind of paintings that would cost millions or billions depends on how desperate the collector is.
And yet these paintings were hanging in the gallery as if they were grade one paintings. They didn’t even see any protective shield. It was as if the whole setting was crying to be burglarized. And to think that this was even being broadcasted, some of them were anxious.
"Sis, is it okay for me to broadcast this?" with a dumbfounded expression, Zara asked worriedly, her heart racing wildly and anxiously at what she was seeing.
She wasn’t that knowledgeable about art, but she wasn’t a fool. After all, in every rich family house, art pieces were displayed and her parents were such people.
She even spotted a painting her father cherishes so much which hung in his study. If she remembered correctly, that painting was priced at D$150 million at the moment and if converted to Atharian dollars, then it should be around A$200 or more, if not mistaken.
How could she publicize such a painting? If there was one like that, then the rest. Didn’t it mean that the whole gallery had pieces worth billions in total?
Diamond chuckled as she flicked a finger on Zara’s forehead once again, making the hearts of many pangs for their weak princess. Could she take that flicking every time?
Why was this Diamond continuing to do that to Zara? Wasn’t she afraid of hurting her further?
Unfortunately, this couldn’t be said at all. After all, weren’t they seeing the resigned expression on Zara’s face every time she got flicked like that?
Since Zara wasn’t complaining, who were they to complain? Besides, there was an issue which was more serious than Zara’s.
Was it really fine for the gallery to be broadcast like this?
However, Diamond’s answer made those who were watching speechless.
"Since the gallery was opened to be viewed, then it’s okay for it to be broadcasted. Besides, don’t you think that art is supposed to be enjoyed by many than for it to be hidden?"
Zara glared at Diamond, wishing to hit the other in the face. How can she say something like that recklessly?
Although she was a VIP guest, that didn’t mean that she could answer like that. What if her actions put the manor in danger?
Diamond, sensing that the little girl was still suspicious, said assuringly as she patted the other’s head. "Don’t stress yourself about this. You need to have trust in the owner. I heard the owner is loaded. So, measures should have been put in place to prevent any pilfering happening!"
Upon hearing that, Zara’s unsettled mind finally settled.
’Yes, there is no way the owner would be so relaxed to leave such expensive art without any protection!’ thinking like that, Zara’s lips curled upwards, smiling relievedly.
"That’s good then!" she said, clapping her hands as she looked at Diamond and instructed, "Then let’s see more. I am at ease now!" her words were smooth and relaxed as if she had known Diamond for decades.
Emma and Avan both looked at each other before looking away. Even they weren’t fools to believe what Diamond was saying. Something about her made them think and believe that she had something to do with the manor.
After all, even if a guest is a VIP, weren’t the rights a bit too much?
Anyway, that wasn’t any of their business. As long as Zara has a great time, the rest they can pretend to not notice.
With Zara back in the game, Diamond started showing Zara the gallery in earnest.
The gallery had art pieces such as paintings, sculptures, vases, and statues. And each one of them had a significant history which would wow those who saw it.
Each piece was very rare, precious and qualified to even be at the national museum. Unfortunately, what is privately owned can’t be forced to be handed to the nation. After all, everything was acquired legally. So why confiscate private property?
Among the art pieces that Zara saw and was wowed by, she took a liking to a few of them.
One of the pieces was the golden statue which caused a lot of ruckuses in the broadcast. Apparently, it was a monkey statue made by an unknown, since the statue didn’t have a signature, and it was gold from head to toe.
Not certain how much gold was used, Zara could tell that if a person got hold of this statue, that person could live his life in luxury without lamenting and yet it was collecting dust here.
The second item was a necklace made from seven kinds of gems, looking like a rainbow product. It looked very luxurious and a jewelry piece which could cause chaos if worn outside.
What made this necklace very pleasing to her eyes was the fact that every piece of gem was precious and mixed well with the others. There was her favorite gem, the alexandrite, followed by gems such as diamond, pearl, ruby, sapphire, emerald, and topaz.
It was a necklace which Zara herself didn’t even know how to tag a price on. When she was baffled by such a luxury item, she couldn’t help but notice that Diamond didn’t seem to be fazed by it.
It was as if she was looking at an ordinary piece of jewelry. Just what kind of background did she have?
Zara, for the first time, couldn’t help but be curious this time.
