THE BILLIONAIRE'S CRYBABY -
Chapter 64: RAGE, FLASH, TROUBLE
Chapter 64: RAGE, FLASH, TROUBLE
Reign’s eyes lit up when Ace took a step forward, and then another.
She had him exactly where she wanted him. He was all about his business. Spades was his life. Anything that affected it, affected him. He would do absolutely anything to protect his position as the heir.
She knew that. Using it against him was cruel, but it did what it was supposed to do.
He stopped in front of her, the gap between them non-existent. Leaning in, he grabbed the back of her head, and tilted it to the side.
Her lips quivered in anticipation of his kiss. She didn’t used to like kissing. She felt it was a wasted effort when they could just go straight to the point of their burning desire.
Ace changed that. He kissed with intention. Like he was trying to communicate something passionate. A conversation only the two lips at work could understand.
When his mouth went to her ears first, a moan escaped her throat. She needed this. She could die from the pleasure but that wouldn’t change the fact he was her nirvana.
Everything else fizzled away. They faded in comparison to this man standing in front of her.
She didn’t care if they were being watched. A giant spy cam could be hovering in the sky right now, capturing their every move, and she wouldn’t give a damn. In fact, she wanted the whole world to see that she was Ace Atticus’ woman. Not that stupid, goody two shoes.
"Reign," he whispered into her ears. She squirmed, her body folding into his. "I know you think you have me wrapped under your little finger, but hear this. You will never be able to control me. Not today, not ever!"
He pushed her away, and stepped back. When she raised her head up, there was rage like a furnace in her eyes.
"You bastard!" She spat breathlessly.
"I’m the bastard?" He hissed between his teeth. "I don’t think you get it yet, Reign. If anything happens to my shipment, you’ll rue the day you chose to cross me. No one is going to make me do what I don’t want to do. It’s not because of my wife either. I’m just not that attracted to you anymore."
He turned around, leaving her with her mouth agape.
"Ace Atticus!" She called when he stormed to his car, but he ignored her.
He only stopped when the mansion’s gate slid open, and a car rolled in.
As it came to a stop, Mr Kings stepped out of the car.
Ace withdrew his hands from the door handle, and walked straight to the man who stood, trying to absorb the presence of Ace in his house.
"Just the man I wanted to see," Ace said.
"Really? Why?" His cane swept the ground, as he regarded Ace with a long stare.
The man was clearly enraged. It only meant Reign had crossed a line. He couldn’t blame his daughter though. The one thing they had clung on to was their connections with Spades.
They were supposed to be partners, and their relationship solidified that hope. That was gone now, making things a little more difficult.
"Your daughter has lost her mind. She has my shipment officer somewhere in her room. Waiting for her to fuck him in exchange for fucking up my shipment. I’m going to say this just one more time. If I so much as miss a scalpel from my goods, I would become your worst nightmare.
"Are you threatening me, Ace?!" Kings asked the man who had just turned his back against him, and was walking over to his car.
"I don’t make threats. It’s a promise."
He entered into his car, and banged the door shut. Thick veins popped in his forehead, and his muscle rippled, as he drove out of the gate.
Ace was royally pissed! The nerve of Reign to threaten him into sleeping with her. She was getting more desperate and disgusting by the second. The image he used to have of her was a woman with sense. The image she was projecting right now, was one devoid of any form of brain cells.
He banged his hand on the steering, sending honks flying about. The driver’s around him stretched their necks to find out if something was wrong. Thankfully, he had his blinds up.
You never could tell where the press would be at any time. They would have a field day if they saw him raging like this.
His eyes went to the dashboard and he discovered it was almost evening. Barely two seconds after making that discovery, his phone rang.
It was sitting on a compartment, so he could easily lower his gaze to the screen.
"What?!" He barked when he answered the call on loudspeaker.
"Whoa, Ace! Who pissed you off?" Landon asked.
"That bitch!"
He didn’t need further explanations for Landon to understand. "What does Reign want this time?"
"She has my fucking shipment officer in her bed. That bitch wants to sleep with him so he causes trouble with my goods. I swear to God Lan, I’m losing my bloody mind!"
"Okay pal, you need to cool off. You can’t let Reign raise your stress level. How did she—, that’s not important. What did you tell her?"
"I just came out from the king’s mansion. Told her she wasn’t going to threaten me to bend to her wills. Practically to go fuck herself."
"Good. I’m just leaving the office, would you like to go for a drink?"
"I’d need ten. Text me an address."
The call came to an end, and he focused his eyes on the road.
Ten minutes later, he pulled into a secret underground bar with a strict NDA policy.
As he came down from the car, a familiar man was immediately by his side.
"Sir Ace, welcome," Marcus, one of the bodyguards at Starlet bar, welcomed him.
"Hey Marcus," He pulled out a couple of hundred dollar bills from his wallet, and handed it to the man. "I’ll let myself in." He waved a dismissive finger.
"Thank you so much sir A—" his words hung in the air, with Ace already walking away from him.
Ace made it into the bar, and immediately spotted Landon. It wasn’t that hard. The first spot with two girls sitting side by side with a man in the middle was definitely him.
He strolled towards their section which happened to be VIP, and slid into the seat across his.
"Ace? You’re already here." Landon’s eyes lit up when he moved his head and saw Ace.
He sat up, making the girls follow his gaze. As their eyes rested on the man sitting on the chair across them, their eyes widened.
The two girls exchanged looks, both calling dibs.
"Why are they here?" Ace questioned, avoiding the gazes of the girls who looked at him with open desire.
He wasn’t in the mood to be admired. Not after his encounter with Reign.
"Hey girls, I think it’s time to leave. Let’s talk some other time," Landon quickly said, dismissing the girls.
A disappointed glare formed on their faces, as they rose to their feets.
"If you need us, we’ll be over there," the blonde drawled, staring at Ace.
"Yeah, that wouldn’t be happening," Ace said.
Instead of feeling insulted, they threw him a wink, and walked away.
"You just totally stole my girls!" Landon said in disbelief.
"Stole your girls?" He scoffed, rolling his eyes.
"Hey, I know you’re angry, but those were pretty hot girls. They wanted to eat you too. Damn man, it’s amazing how every other person pales beside you to these girls."
"Landon?" He called in a caught your bullshit tone.
"Yes dear," Landon jested.
"Where are the drinks on the table?"
"What do you mean?" He looked round the full table, his lashes twitching with confusion.
"These are wines. I need a good whiskey man. None of these will do." He hissed in frustration.
"Didn’t know you’ve become such an alcoholic, but okay."
He raised a hand, and a bartender approached him.
"Two bottles of your finest whiskey please."
He bowed, and excused himself.
"Do you want to talk about something else? Maybe it would make you forget you know who." Landon offered with a smile on his face.
"Something like what?" Ace grumpily asked.
"The workers!" He snapped his finger. "Were you able to talk to them?"
"What wo— oh." His frown tightened.
"Did something happen, Ace?"
"It’s been such a shitty day, bro. Testing the limits of my patience. You can’t believe I arrived home to find Fay crying on the ground."
"Crying on the ground?" His eyes widened.
"In the compound. With the staff present!"
"Why? What the fuck happened?"
"Her fucking aunt, that’s what. She’s exactly like mine. Hates Fay for whatever reason she has. I had to deal with that, and then this bullshit with Reign?"
He grabbed a bottle of wine, drinking directly from it to calm his rage that was continuously rising, before the whiskey would arrive.
"Wow, that’s—"
"Excuse me, are you Ace Atticus?" A girl suddenly approached them, interrupting Landon.
His eyes lifted to see a Platinum blonde woman with the deepest shade of blue eyes, staring at him.
"Who’s ask—" his words were interrupted by her, as she bent her head down and kissed him.
A couple of flashes went off behind them, but it was drowned by their obliviousness.
