THE BILLIONAIRE'S CRYBABY
Chapter 14: ROYAL TUSSLE

Chapter 14: ROYAL TUSSLE

"Ace Atticus, funny running into you here," the booming voice of the man beside Reign said.

Fay, caught between fear from the intimidating presence of the intruders, and envy at how free Reign was with Ace, hid behind the menu, as a form of protection.

"Did you really?" He raised a brow, his face squeezed in a frown.

Xander King, the man popularly known as just Mr King, grinned. "Won’t you ask us to sit? Where is the hospitable spirit the Atticus are known for? You know your grandmother would be livid if she heard of this," he said in a singsong voice.

"You’re interrupting dinner with my wife. Why would I be cordial with you?" He asked, arrogantly looking down at him.

Mr King chuckled as he dragged his eyes to Fay. "Her? She’s a pretty little thing. A little too dainty for our taste, you’d agree?"

Underneath the intensity of his gaze, Fay shifted uncomfortably. She buried herself deeper into the menu, scared to death. She didn’t want a topic in any of their conversations. If it were up to her, she’d disappear out of sight as soon as possible.

"What makes you think we share the same taste? If we did, wouldn’t it be weird I used to fuck your daughter?" He cocked an arrogant brow, his foot tapping restlessly on the oak floor.

A tense silence ensued at the heavy drop of his words. Aside from the slight rise of her brow, Reign did not display any other reaction at the disrespect to her name.

The brief silence was interrupted by the cracking of Mr King’s fists. "What did you just say to my face?" He asked, daring him to repeat himself.

Ace dragged his tapping feet on the floor, and fully reclined into his seat, so he could properly stare into the face of the man, hell bent on further ruining his night. "You heard me. I said we can’t possibly have the same type, considering the fact I used to bend your daughter over, anywhere, and anytime I pleased. Do you hear me now, or should I repeat myself one more ti–"

His words were interrupted by Mr kings banging fist on the table. Fay flinched, almost jumping out of her skin. Her body trembled, as she peeked through the menu at the haunting gaze of the older man, who had crouched so he was leveled with Ace.

"Careful how you speak of me and my daughter, son. You don’t want to get on my bad side," he growled, baring teeth made of gold.

"No, you don’t want to get on my bad side. You don’t get to interrupt my dinner, and threaten me. No!" He warned, unflinching.

King’s glare did not immediately leave him. Their eyes locked in a fierce battle for dominance. Ace, who had learnt the dangerous side of business from the man breathing down his face now, would rather die than be intimidated.

King knew it, his daughter, Reign did, and so did everyone who had ever come across him.

"Would you two get over yourselves? This has gotten immensely boring," Reign, playing with her finger, said.

Fay, hiding behind the menu, bobbed her head in agreement. She couldn’t stand the tension any more. If it continued any longer, she saw herself running out of the room in tears.

"You heard your daughter. Don’t tamper with the respect I have for you. Go away," he shooed him off like a little boy.

Mr King felt utterly embarrassed, but widely known for his ability to pick his battles, he decided to let this one go. His face spread into a humorless smile, as he straightened up. "I didn’t say a thing when Iearnt you ditched my daughter for another— thing," he settled with the least insulting word he could think of. "She didn’t tell me, because she stupidly loves you enough to shield you. But now I know Ace. Now I know. You owe me a debt. For the betrayal, and for your arrogance tonight. I’ll come collect. For your sake, pray it’s not at the expense of the pretty thing." He adjusted his suit, and turned around.

Ace, his eyes still dangerously dark, watched the older man as he walked away.

"Reign!" He called over his shoulder, when he got to the door.

"Coming father," she responded.

He disappeared out the door with his bodyguards, leaving her alone with Ace, and Fay.

"You should leave too." Ace shoulders relaxed only a little. His muscles still flexed in thirst for a little exercise.

"Not until I say what I have to say," she retorted.

Fay couldn’t take another round of threats of violence. Her poor heart couldn’t stand it anymore.

"Why am I here?" She cried in her heart.

"I don’t want to hear it. I already told your father. This is dinner time with my wife!"

"Oh spare me the wife talk. You and her just got together. One week ago Ace, you snuck out of my house. Were you cheating on her? Was he cheating on you?" She turned to Fay, a taunting glint in her eyes.

With trembling hands, Fay lowered the menu. "I don’t know," she said in a hush tone.

Reign couldn’t help but break into a cackle, as Ace kissed his teeth.

"You don’t have to answer. Ignore her," he said to Fay.

"Okay," she nodded.

"Oh you poor thing," she clutched her heart. "You’re basically a puppet to him. He tells you to jump, you ask how high. Is he paying you to act like a recluse? Or is this your natural state?" She chortled.

"Enough Reign!" He barked.

"Or what!" She screamed. "My father may have taken it easy on you, but you don’t want to get me started Ace," she warned.

"Suit yourself," he rose to his feet, and went to Fay. "Give me your hands," he demanded.

Quickly, she stretched out her hands, and he pulled her up.

"Where do you think you’re going?" She walked ahead of them, blocking their path.

"Home. My house. The house I never let you stay for two consecutive nights. She’d be staying there for a long time. You know, now I understand why you’re so angry," he goaded, getting under her skin.

"You bastard!" She shot at him. "You think you have a man? He’s a swine who had me in his bed before he married you. Who I’m certain thinks of me when he kisses you, because you look like a prude. Am I right, Ace? Thinking of it, you don’t look like you’re getting any. There’s something so sexless about her. It’s a tragedy," she matched his intention, stride for stride.

Fay’s glance darted between the two. They were so similar, it scared her. Each trying to get a rise out of the other. She really felt for Reign. It was obvious she was deeply in love with him.

If only she could tell her not to worry. After a year, her man would return to her. She was beautiful beyond words, and going by what she disclosed, Ace was attracted to her.

It didn’t make sense that he didn’t marry her instead. Perhaps, his family didn’t welcome their union. Whatever the case was, she really wished she could reassure her, she was like a dry, lifeless stick in Ace’s eyes. After all, he did say from his mouth that he picked her because he could never be attracted to someone like her.

"I told her she doesn’t have to respond to you. You’ve lost your mind Reign," his words broke through her thoughts, bringing her mind back to the present.

"Is that so? Prove it then. Prove to me she gets your body hard and throbbing like I do. Prove to me you don’t fantasize about me in her presence. Common," she dared with a nudge of her head.

Internally, Fay sighed. Of course he couldn’t. The man was clearly still whipped over her.

"You really want to hurt yourself, don’t you?" He asked, as his lip curved into a wry smile.

"Prove it. I dare you.".

"Okay."

Before Fay could blink, he turned her around, and wrapped a hand around her waist. Pulling her into his body, his lip dropped down on hers like a wrecking ball.

The kiss was unexpected, so it took her time to get into it. But when she did, she threw her hands around his neck, surrendering herself to him.

Reign watched in utter disbelief. Here was her man, kissing another woman so passionately. With her, he swore he hated kisses, yet here he was. Her hand balled into a fist, and she screamed, "Ace!"

Fay winced in fear, and was ready to pull away from him, but he predicted it, and held her firmer.

He bent his free hand backwards, and raised the middle finger up.

"You bastard!" She yelled when she saw it. "I’m going to make you pay for this!" She seethed, as she turned around, and stormed away.

Immediately the door closed behind them, Ace quickly pulled away. "That’s enough darling."

Fay’s eyes popped open, her chest rising and falling. Never in her life had she experienced something like that. Something so good, she wanted to do it again.
