Chapter 157: Doing The Right Thing

Ashley was worried that he still has scowl plastered on his handsome face. With that, she approached him and gave him a back hug doing her best to provide him with comfort while embracing him as tightly as she could.

However, since Tanaga was over a head tall, Ashley had tip-toe to make sure that she could kiss the bottom of her husband’s ear.

"Tan, thank you!" she then kissed him under his ear, before leaning her head behind him.

She’s delighted and she feels like she’s in heaven after talking to Fumika. "The truth is we are married!" Ashley was so proud when she said that to Fumika. To be able to tell someone that they are married is what she was referring to when she thanked Tanaga.

Tanaga stopped what he was doing, and he slowly moved Ashley’s hand from her embrace. Before he turned around, so they are face to face before speaking.

"Ash, why are you thankful?" Tanaga said as he gazed in his wife’s eyes full of love.

He still could not imagine that he would find the woman that would make his heartbeat once again, which is now his wife. He thought that after Ohani, his heart would never soften to any woman, yet he was wrong. All he needed was the person right in front of him.

Tanaga embraced Ashley as tight as he could. He then sighs, "Ahhh! If only this is not an emergency trip, I will wait until your paperwork is finish so you could go with me. Oh ’how I’m going to miss you ..." He then kissed the forehead of his wife.

"By the way, why are you thankful?" Tanaga asked Ashley again as he remembered this while he was brushing her hair down in the back.

"I am grateful that you had chosen me to be the mother of your children. If I did not, who knows what would have become of me.

"Either I’m now a corpse floating in some river or back in the Philippines while my family was having a wake. " Ashley whispered as she leaned over Tanaga’s chest and listened to his chest, pounding.

Tanaga doesn’t even want to think if he didn’t get Ashley out in time from the hands of the syndicate...

"Can you please forget that part of your life. Think of it as a blessing in disguise, and you’re blessed by the almighty God. Because ... ’Tsup! we meet again! " Said Tanaga with a smile while he lifted her face and gave her a sweet kiss on the lips.

Since Ashley won’t be able to accompany Tanaga, Sato was designated to go with him as they wait for her document to be processed. They would swap once her visa gets approved from the US Embassy.

The three girls Aiko, Fumika, and Etsuko, were listening to Sato gives instructions while he’s gone.

Aiko and Etsuko are thrilled because Sato is leaving, and nobody will watch over them. But their excitement soon subsided when they heard Sato’s order.

"Hear me well! Sir Jones ordered that while he was away, you would treat Miss Gusman as you would him. If I found out you did not obey Miss Gusman, this is all I could say ... "Your fired !!!"

Sato was making sure the word was loud in clear as he said it right in Etsuko’s face. He knew that from all the junior secretaries ... it seemed like she’s the only one who has a dream of being the queen of the company.

The trio replied in unison, "Yes sir!" while they were standing as though they are doing a drill in the military.

It was the right moment that the couple was coming out of the office and Ashley saw everything that what was happening inside the office of the junior secretaries, she smiled to herself.

When Mr. Sato saw Tanaga was ready to leave, he quickly picked up all of his belongings and followed the couple walking towards the private elevator.

"Sir, I’ll meet you downstairs! " Sato shouted at Tanaga who was walking straight ahead still frowning because his wife could not be with him

Ashley walking beside him whispered softly. "Why can’t you just let him go with us? Your employees’ elevator is slow because there are so many floors on the way that he might be late." Ashley said as her eyes widened, looking straight at her husband.

"Do whatever you want!" was all he said as he continued walking absentmindedly.

Ashley turned to Sato and called him "Mr. Sato, Sir Jones says you can come with us so you won’t be delayed!" Ashley winked at Sato and smiled secretly.

Sato’s face suddenly brightened with what he heard. He quickly turned and were quick to follow the bosses...

Since Ashley and Tanaga had not gone very far, the three junior secretaries had heard what Ashley had told Sato. They all quickly went out and checked to see if they heard correctly.

They were suddenly surprised because Mr. Sato is following Ashley and Tanaga, along with the bodyguard.

Etsuko’s eyes widened then smirked before she quickly turned around to go back to their office. "Hmph, how I wish, I am the one to accompany Sir Jones." Whispered to herself while feeling bad.

Aiko and Fumika stood at the door and watched as the four entered the elevator. Fumika started to return to their seat while Aiko still staring at their departing bosses...

"Oh, my! They are so lucky ... I wonder when would I be able to ride that elevator? .. "Aiko sighed aloud as she walked back to her seat.

Meanwhile, Ashley has already walked Tanaga all the way outside of the building. As the car pulled away, she continued gazing until the vehicle was out of her sight.

She then turned around and was about to go back inside the building when she suddenly stopped and look up to see how tall the THJ Group building.

Therefore, she didn’t notice that a car was coming, and she was surprised when it suddenly honks at her because she was on the road and was blocking it. "Honk!"

"Ay! Saint Mary!" Ashley exclaimed in shock.

Tiny rushes to Ashley quickly to protect his charge. He stopped right in from of the car and raised his hand to stop it.

The driver of the vehicle step on the brake and put the car in park. He quickly steps outside to scold Tiny and Ashley.

"Who do you think you are?! You think you are the owner of the building!" The driver of the car shouted while walking towards them without looking at who was standing in front of the vehicle.

As soon as he got closer and saw that it was Tiny ... He suddenly stopped and just stood there before speaking softly. "Sir Tiny, why did you stand right in front of the car, what if I didn’t hit the brake?" Said Koji Hanada’s driver.

All the employees from the Hanada family know who Tiny is. They knew that Tiny is the head of Tanaga’s bodyguards, so the driver thought that maybe he was protecting a special woman.

He knows better than to say anymore, he paid tribute to Tiny before returning to the car in anticipation of Koji Hanada’s departure.

Ashley, who was in shock, return to her senses and decided to return to the office and call Koji Hanada to find out what he needed.

Just as she was about to enter the door when the automatic sliding door opened, and Koji Hanada appeared in front of her with a big grin plastered on his handsome face.

"Well, hello! The person that I wanted to see pop right in front of me ... unexpectedly. " Koji greeted while still smiling, and his two dimples were still out.

Ashley, on the other hand, was glad to see Koji Hanada, because she didn’t need to call him any longer to find out what he needed, so she could also tell him that Tanaga had left.

"Hi! What a coincidence. I was planning to call you back when I get back to the office. It’s a good thing that we meet." Ashely greeted back to with a simple smile.

"Well, now I’m here, no need. However, I have a lunch meeting... Maybe I can borrow you temporarily. " Koji Hanada said without malice in the tone of his voice.

Ashley thought for a moment before answering. ’Hmmm, this is a business, and he’s a boss too. It doesn’t matter if I go and help him, because it’s business ... But, what would happen if Tanaga finds out, he might get upset. Knowing him, he’s a jealous man!’ With that, Ashley can’t answer right away because she’s contemplating if she’s doing the right thing or not...
