Chapter 389: Chapter 388

Edwin Blake stood there, completely stunned.

Harry Ross hurried forward to smooth things over, "Miss Goldsmith, that’s not what I meant, our president is very handsome."

"That’s because you haven’t seen real handsome men. Have you been oppressed for so long that your eyes have problems?"

Nora Goldsmith started to mock him without holding back.

Edwin Blake’s face couldn’t hold, and he asked directly, "Where’s Ivy River?"

"It’s none of your business. Get out of my house quickly, or I’ll have security throw you out."

Harry Ross whispered an explanation, "We can’t be thrown out, we bought the place next door, at most we’ll just be advised to make peace."

"What?!"

Nora Goldsmith shouted angrily, "You shameless people! Why did you buy the place next to mine, are you sick!"

"I’m selling my house, living next to people like you is lowering my status!"

Ivy River, upon hearing Edwin Blake and Harry Ross’s voices, slowly put on her clothes and went out.

She leaned lazily against the door frame, "President Blake, what a pleasant surprise. Why did you suddenly fly here from home, got business to handle?"

Nora Goldsmith looked up in disbelief, her eyes full of shock.

Ivy River waved her hand, signaling for her to stay calm.

Harry Ross quickly chimed in, "Madam, we’re not here on business, we came to find you after seeing your video go viral back home."

"Oh, and then?"

"And then the president got really worried, so we flew over in a rush. Now that we’ve seen you’re fine, we’re relieved."

Harry Ross flattered, "Madam, did you know, your video is going crazy back home, after seeing it here, we were both worried."

"You don’t know, the president is really concerned for you. As soon as he heard about any trouble, he dropped all his work and flew over directly without resting."

"As soon as we got off the plane, we rushed to find your address and came over."

Harry Ross continued when he saw Ivy River not responding, saying:

"Luckily you’re fine here. When I saw the video, I thought you looked quite capable. After all, you were the national champion in the first traditional Chinese medicine competition you entered."

"It’s impossible for someone to fake you out, you have the professional medical skills, extensive theoretical knowledge, and practical ability to see through any disguise instantly."

Ivy River glanced and said, unable to listen anymore, "Harry, if you keep talking, I’m going to throw you out. It’s early in the morning, don’t force me to beat you up."

Harry Ross immediately covered his mouth and stopped talking.

Edwin Blake spoke calmly, "Ivy River, why aren’t you answering my calls?"

"Because I’ve blocked you, I think answering your calls is a waste of life. My life is precious, very valuable, not to be wasted on useless people."

Ivy River said lightly.

Edwin Blake was successfully angered by this sentence, "Ivy River, such a mean mouth early in the morning, what do you think you’re doing?"

"I rushed over to see you right after getting off the plane, worried something might have happened to you, and did I do something wrong here?"

Ivy River replied unhurriedly, "You didn’t do anything wrong. Now that you’ve said your piece, you can leave. I don’t want to delve into how you found my address."

Harry Ross noticed the awkward atmosphere and stepped up to liven things up.

"Madam, madam, please don’t get angry. The president is concerned for your safety, besides, it’s more chaotic overseas."

"What’s there to worry about? I’m a living person, plus I know acupuncture. I’ll definitely protect myself, ensure my own safety, I can definitely manage that."

Ivy River shifted her stance, addressing Nora Goldsmith directly, "Nora, show them out."

Nora Goldsmith finally got the command, "Okay, please follow me, both of you. It’s not yet our morning routine time. If you need to talk to us, please make an appointment first."

Harry Ross saw his associates about to be kicked out and immediately shouted:

"President, President, don’t forget what Old Lady Blake mentioned, don’t forget, make sure not to forget!"

"Isn’t Old Lady Blake quite worried about Madam? If you don’t start a video call, what will you do if she gets upset later?"

Harry Ross watched as Edwin Blake sat idly on the couch, prompting him furiously.

Both of them were about to be thrown out, yet he still acted like nothing was happening, sitting leisurely on the couch.

Like someone without a care in the world.

Ivy River cut in, "Grandma wants to see me?"

Harry Ross quickly replied, "Yes, yes, Madam, that’s correct. Miss Goldsmith, please don’t be so agitated, let me go inside and have a word with Madam."

Harry Ross slipped in through the crack of the door.

On the way, he immediately called Old Lady Blake, considering the time difference should be fourteen hours.

It’s night in the hotel back home.

Old Lady Blake should not be sleeping yet.

The first video call went unanswered.

Harry Ross glanced at Edwin Blake who hadn’t moved on the couch and said helplessly:

"President, can you call Old Lady Blake on this end? Don’t forget what she said!"

Edwin Blake wasn’t worried at all, "You can call Grandma yourself, it’s fine."

Harry Ross: "..."

Am I the one courting or are you, really?

Everyone is trying to help you, and yet you act like nothing’s happening.

Still playing childish games.

Who can stand this?

Ivy River stated plainly, "Does Grandma want to talk to me? I’ll call her myself, she must be worried about me. I’ll video call her in a bit, you guys can leave."

Harry Ross panicked and made another call to Old Lady Blake.

Luckily, this time it connected.

"Old Lady, it’s me, Harry, it’s me. We’ve arrived at Madam’s, didn’t you want to see her? Shall I pass the phone to you?"

Old Lady Blake said directly, "Sure, Grandma’s phone was in the room just now, I wasn’t near it. I was in the living room watching TV."

"Okay, Grandma, I’ll hand the phone to Madam now."

Harry Ross said then handed the phone to Ivy River.

Ivy River furrowed her brows and answered, "Grandma, I planned to call you myself. I’m completely fine here, see."

She raised the phone and turned the video around.

Old Lady Blake spoke warmly, "Good, good, it’s alright. But you know, going abroad without telling Grandma, I really got worried when I saw the news!"

"You silly girl, truly, remember to tell Grandma next time, or she’ll think the tragedy is repeating."

Ivy River naturally knew what Old Lady Blake was referring to.

She smiled and replied, "Grandma, I’ve shifted all my focus to domestic matters, the kids are settled at home too, so no need to worry."

"No, no, what if you leave the kids at home first, and then try everything possible to take them away, no, Grandma can’t take that risk."

Old Lady Blake sighed deeply, "My grandson’s already disappointing, now I can’t let my granddaughter fly away too."
