The Billionaire Ex-Wife Stormed Back as a Marvelous Divine Doctor -
Chapter 324 - 323
Chapter 324: Chapter 323
Originally, Gale Wiles didn’t care, but seeing this, he started to feel a bit worried.
Ivy River spoke directly, "The problem isn’t too big, but my brother seems to have..."
"Just say it, seems like what? Hurry up and say it!" Jonah Wiles anxiously urged.
Ivy River glanced at Gale and said lightly, "Are you frigid? Your pulse is very stable. Normally, hearing such a thing would cause some ripples in the heart, but you have none."
Gale: "..."
He struggled to control his temper, "Is it possible that there’s nothing wrong, that my heart is just calm?"
As he said this, he grabbed Ivy and gritted his teeth, "Ivy, you better behave a little and don’t let him mess with me!"
Ivy simply pushed him away with a laugh, "Bro, how can you say such things? Dad is doing this for your own good. How about this, go for a check-up, so we can all be at ease."
"Write an order, check both the men’s clinic and psychology department. I feel like you might like men. If you do, just tell Dad the truth. I can still handle it now."
Jonah Wiles said this and then clutched his heart, lying on the bed, whining, "If you don’t see a doctor, then I have to, oh, it hurts so much."
Gale saw this and slammed the door as he left.
Jonah sneakily opened his eyes, "Is your brother going to see the doctor?"
Ivy cried and laughed, "Oh you, why do you have to stress him out? There’s nothing wrong with my brother, why are you insisting on a check-up?"
"Haha, a check-up makes me feel at ease. Isn’t it good for me to be at ease? I won’t feel reassured till I see the results. You don’t understand a father’s heart."
The more Jonah spoke, the more excited he got, "Just like if Fatty doesn’t get married when he grows up, wouldn’t you worry?"
Ivy shook her head.
"You wouldn’t worry?" Jonah was surprised, "Even if you’re not worried, I would be. When my eldest grandson doesn’t get married, how can I be a great-grandfather? You have to be more concerned; this attitude won’t do."
"Dad, I’ve already arranged a fiancée for my son. They’ll get married when they grow up."
Ivy said lightly.
Jonah was even more shocked, "What?"
"Yes, I’ll bring the little girl over to show you later. She’s a very obedient girl, already betrothed. Don’t worry, Dad, I’ve thought about my son’s lifelong matters."
After speaking, Ivy walked out of the hospital room, "I’m going to check on my brother; stop messing around."
Jonah was left bewildered in the breeze.
Even his grandson had a match, could even have a childhood engagement.
How come his handsome son was still single?
When Gale finished his check-up and returned, Jonah couldn’t wait to speak up, "Son, I did some reflection on myself just now. I should have arranged a childhood engagement for you when you were young."
"What?" Gale didn’t understand what he meant.
"It might be too late for a childhood engagement, so how about..." Jonah smirked, "I arrange a marriage for you now? What do you think? You’re so handsome, there must be girls who like you."
"An arranged marriage? I refuse."
Jonah persisted, "Feelings can be cultivated gradually. Why do childhood engagements have such strong feelings? Because they are together from an early age, so you should marry first and then fall in love."
"Get you to have a child first, right?"
Gale said irritably.
"Yes, exactly, cultivate your feelings slowly, I’ll take care of the kids for both of you."
"Nothing to say to you, just look at the results, if there’s anything, I can cure it, too."
Ivy looked at the analysis report in her hands.
After reading it, she was slightly regretful, "Dad, don’t worry, my brother doesn’t have any major problems. It’s just an internal issue that needs to be tackled."
"Alright, alright, as long as the check-up report shows no issues. Oh, my heart can finally rest."
Ivy’s tone was filled with regret, "Actually, it can be adjusted a bit. I do have some remedies."
"What?"
Jonah asked eagerly.
This made Gale panic, "Don’t say it, shut up."
His intuition told him it was not something good.
Ivy struggled and shouted angrily, "Dad, just leave it to me. I’ll write a prescription for my brother, get the herbs, and drink the medicine. Gale! Let go of me!"
Once Gale was yelled at, he immediately let her go.
Helpless.
After all, Ivy’s fighting prowess was too strong.
Ivy bit her lip gently, "Gale, you’ve successfully angered me now. This can’t be played with. If you don’t drink the Chinese medicine I prescribe, then just wait for me to come back and torment you."
"I’ll drink it, I’ll definitely drink it."
Gale glanced at the time and continued, "It’s getting late, quickly find a place to rest, I see Noah and Leon are outside."
Ivy squinted her eyes, scanning up and down, "How do you know her name is Noah?"
"Leon just called her that, how do I know? How could I know!"
"Alright, I thought you had taken a liking to our Noah. Noah isn’t dating anyone at the moment; she’s working for me."
Ivy said unceremoniously.
Noah heard and immediately went sarcastic, "Boss, am I only here to be your workhorse? Can’t I date? I’m almost thirty. I can’t follow you my whole life, can I?"
"Of course you can, if you want, you can follow me for a lifetime, but the prerequisite is," Ivy smiled, "you need to act as my workhorse."
"In your dreams!"
Noah directly spat and then turned and left.
Leon stepped forward and said, "Why don’t we head home first? I’m really exhausted, and I have to work during the day."
Ivy knew there were things to do during the day.
She had dozed off for about twenty minutes on the way.
Now, seeing that Jonah’s health was not a major concern, she was relieved and feeling sleepy.
She nodded and said to Jonah, "Dad, we’re leaving first. I’ll make some porridge and bring it over during the day."
"Okay, um..."
Jonah hesitated for a long while before speaking, "I want to tell you something. Leon, can you come over here."
Leon obediently approached.
Ivy instantly realized what was happening and burst into laughter.
Jonah turned his head and gave her a stern look, "No laughing! Keep quiet!"
Leon was confused, "What’s up, Uncle?"
"Hehe, Uncle just has a small request, can you bring Fatty and Emmy over during the day? Ivy is here, I want to see them."
Instinctively, Leon looked over at Ivy.
Ivy had already turned her head, avoiding looking at him.
He found himself in a dilemma.
"This... um, Uncle, you should ask Ivy. I still have work during the day, I mainly can’t finish my tasks..."
"Work doesn’t matter, isn’t it just about deducting salary? No problem, get the kids over, I’ll pay you! Is that okay?"
Leon shook his head, "It’s not that, Uncle. If I don’t finish, I’ll face Ivy’s torturous methods; she will kindly ’adjust’ me physically."
Jonah wasn’t a fool; he noticed Leon’s emphasis on "kindly adjusting."
Everything became clear in an instant.
"Sigh, my daughter, everything is great except that she’s a bit of an executioner."
Hearing this, Ivy went speechless.
