Chapter 225: After modification: Chapter 224 High Salary Recruitment

Ivy River gritted her teeth, "You left all the cauliflower for your godmother, what are we supposed to eat?"

Fatty sheepishly said, "Then we just won’t eat!"

Ivy River closed her eyes briefly and walked towards Fatty.

Fatty hurriedly ran away, "I’m sorry, Mom. I’ll bring some cauliflower back now. I’ll move it right now!"

Madeline Woods laughed and scolded, "Ivy, you can take it all away and cook cauliflower for Fatty every day, no! Make low-fat meals!"

Ivy River glared at her.

She personally sorted the vegetables.

Then she drove off with the three kids, "Madeline, if you want to come over, drive yourself. If not, see you at the kindergarten gate tomorrow morning."

Madeline stood where she was, grumbling, "Who gave you the guts to talk to me like this! Ivy River, if it weren’t for how you’re usually good to me, I’d never let you off!"

Despite her words.

Madeline still went inside, packed her things, and drove off to Ivy River’s house, feeling defeated.

Next morning.

At the kindergarten gate.

Ann was very nervous. She was distracted while eating breakfast and spilled her milk while drinking it.

Ivy River comforted her, "Don’t worry, Ann. You didn’t do anything wrong."

Ann said softly, "Godmother, you promised me..."

"Don’t worry, I haven’t forgotten. Your mom will control her temper today too. Trust me, okay?"

Ann’s worried expression eased a little upon hearing Ivy’s words.

She happily agreed, "Okay!"

Ivy River asked promptly, "Did you take the Relief Pills I gave you?"

"Yes! I specifically went to buy them last night. They said it could make worries disappear and feel as carefree as a deity. If it doesn’t work, I’ll file a complaint!"

Madeline said unhappily.

Ivy River glanced at her, "Don’t pull any faces when we go in, otherwise if Ann gets upset, I’ll hold you accountable."

Madeline said gloomily, "Got it."

She thought.

Who’s really Ann’s mom here?

Ivy River walked the children to their classroom door, patting Fatty’s little head, "What’s your task for today?"

Fatty said with determined spirit, "Protect my sisters and beat up the little punk!"

A vein popped on Ivy River’s forehead, this kid is so aggressive!

She patiently instructed, "Don’t start any fights, but if someone else does, you must protect your sisters."

"Mission will be accomplished!"

After the three kids went inside, Madeline asked confusedly, "Why not send them all the way in? I need to see where that little boy is sitting."

Ivy River turned to leave, casually saying, "Brute."

Madeline was stunned, then she reacted, "Who are you calling a brute!"

Ivy River glanced at her without saying anything and leisurely walked towards the principal’s office.

Madeline followed her to the principal’s office.

She knocked on the door.

Pushed it open.

There was no one inside; the principal wasn’t there yet.

"No way, I have to go wait at the gate, what if Eamon King comes now, I’ll drag him straight in!"

Seeing Madeline about to rush out, Ivy River quickly stopped her, "No need, let the teacher call him later. Dragging him here now will hurt the child’s self-esteem, and Ann will be unhappy."

Upon hearing Ann would be unhappy.

Madeline reluctantly sat down on the sofa and said irritably, "I can’t figure it out, who does Ann take after? I’m not the sentimental type, and neither could the man who had a one-night stand in a bar be!"

"Why not?" Ivy River countered.

Madeline shouted, "Just not! After all, that night he..."

Ivy River looked at her calmly, "Go on, what about that night?"

Madeline blushed a little, stood up, paced around, pretending to be nonchalant, "What’s up with the principal, why isn’t he here yet?"

Ivy River laughed scornfully, "Now you’re anxious?"

Madeline ignored her teasing, took out her phone and called the principal.

The principal was very polite and promised to be there within twenty minutes.

He told them to feel free.

Madeline couldn’t stay in the office, "I’m going out for a walk, check the surroundings. I haven’t properly toured the school in all this time."

"Okay, I’ll take a look too." Ivy River quickly followed.

Madeline impatiently stood her ground, glaring at Ivy River, "Why do you need to tour too?"

"I haven’t seen it either, thanks. Don’t cause trouble."

Seeing this, Madeline stomped back into the room, "You wander around yourself, I’m a bit tired, going inside to rest for a while."

Ivy River ignored her, leisurely toured the school.

When she returned to the principal’s office.

The principal had already arrived.

Ivy River said lightly, "Sorry, principal, I was just taking a tour, did you wait long?"

The principal hurriedly smiled, "Not at all, I just got here. Sorry for keeping you waiting so long, my apologies."

Ivy River nodded, softly said, "You didn’t make us wait long, just half an hour."

Hearing this, the principal couldn’t help but break out in a cold sweat.

Then Ivy River said, "By the way, principal, I noticed the surveillance here is quite comprehensive."

The principal didn’t know Ivy River’s intentions, nervously replied, "Yes, the surveillance is without any blind spots. It’s mainly to ensure the students’ safety."

"Oh, what about the classrooms?"

"All four corners of the classrooms are monitored, we have 360-degree surveillance. Is there something wrong?"

Ivy River nodded, and casually said, "No problem, just asking. Does the monitoring system have backups?"

The principal’s instinct feared trouble but he answered honestly, "We have records for nearly a year, including cloud storage. Don’t worry, even if you want the footage from three years ago, we’ve got it!"

Ivy River suddenly smiled, "Good, and what’s the hiring criteria for your teachers?"

The principal nervously asked, "Why, did something happen?"

Ivy River smiled again, "Nothing, just curious. I haven’t had the time to look into it before. I heard good things about the kindergarten, so I sent my kids here."

The principal suspiciously observed the two women.

One smiled slyly like a fox.

One looked angry enough to eat him.

Ivy River followed the principal’s gaze to Madeline, smiling, "She didn’t sleep well last night, don’t be scared."

The principal nodded, wiped the sweat from his forehead, "Our Royal Aristocrat Kindergarten charges high fees because we ensure the children’s safety, privacy, and excellent teaching staff."

Ivy River impatiently interrupted, "Cut the formalities, talk plain.

The principal: "..."

This is the truth!

But he obediently said, "Our teachers are recruited from top kindergartens nationwide, so most of them are experienced. Plus, all teachers undergo a month’s training before starting, so parents needn’t worry about the teaching quality."

Hearing this, Ivy River sneered.

She didn’t speak, keeping her smiling gaze fixed on the principal.

This made the principal very nervous, trying to figure out which of his words might have been wrong.

He cautiously asked, "Is there a problem?"

Ivy River smirked, "So, does teachers ignoring children’s fights fall within your training scope?"

This light remark.

Silenced the principal.
