Chapter 208: Revised: Chapter 207 Rest

Edwin Blake furrowed his brow, losing patience. He commanded coldly, his tone leaving no room for refusal, "It’s fine if you don’t see her, but can you guarantee your hand will be fine for the designer competition? I’ve told you, right now, Ivy River is the only doctor who can treat you!"

Isla Sutton still wanted to say something.

Edwin Blake cut her off, "Harry Ross, drive Isla to the hospital, then head back to Seaton. I need to personally attend that meeting this afternoon."

Harry Ross immediately complied, starting the car quickly. He considerately told Isla Sutton, "The President didn’t sleep well last night. Please let him rest for a while; he has a meeting at the company soon."

Isla Sutton glanced cautiously at Edwin Blake and remained silent.

She brooded alone.

If it got out that Ivy River was treating her, she would be a laughingstock among the elite circles!

The car slowly arrived at Riverland Hospital.

Harry Ross spoke softly, "President, we have arrived at the hospital. The doctor arranged for Miss Sutton is coming down immediately. After Madam arrives this afternoon, she can directly use Doctor Sullivan’s office."

Edwin Blake nodded, eyes still closed, "In a while, go up with the doctor and check the office environment. If there are any unsatisfactory aspects, mention them; we can switch for you."

"You...you won’t come with me?" Isla Sutton asked quietly.

Edwin Blake nodded, checking the time, "It’s already noon. I need to rush back to Seaton for the 3 o’clock meeting. I have to review materials on the way, so I can’t accompany you."

Isla Sutton, unwilling to give up, asked, "So you won’t have lunch with me either?"

Harry Ross couldn’t bear it any longer and joked, "President, if you have lunch with Miss Sutton, you definitely won’t make it to the afternoon meeting, even if I drive the car like an airplane."

Isla Sutton really is like a sticky bug, clinging and hard to shake off.

Madam is much better, treating our President as if he’s invisible.

Edwin Blake nodded, "No lunch. You can wander around for a bit. Once the time is set, I’ll have Harry notify you."

Isla Sutton was very displeased inside, but she forced a smile, "Alright. Drive safely and let me know when you arrive."

Edwin Blake glanced out the window and saw the doctor had arrived.

"Alright, you go ahead. The doctor is here."

Isla Sutton reluctantly got out of the car.

Just as she was about to say something, she saw Harry Ross drive away without hesitation.

As soon as they left.

Isla Sutton’s attitude turned arrogant, "You’re the doctor here for me?"

Doctor Sullivan smiled, "Yes, I’m here to take you. President Blake arranged a VIP office for you, waiting for Doctor River to treat your hand this afternoon."

"Alright, show me the office first, and make sure it’s the best."

Doctor Sullivan nodded confidently, "I can assure you!"

"If I find out you’ve cut corners, there will be consequences!"

"No, no, our office was recently renovated, with repeated formaldehyde removal processes. Plus, many areas in Riverland Hospital were newly renovated, so the environment shouldn’t be bad."

Doctor Sullivan explained cautiously, afraid of upsetting her.

"Let’s go."

Isla Sutton snorted coldly and walked forward arrogantly.

Doctor Sullivan gasped behind her, nervously patting his face before quickly following.

...

Ivy River arrived at Eve Headquarters.

Grace Foster was standing at the entrance to welcome her.

Upon seeing her, Grace’s eyes immediately reddened, and she rushed forward to hug Ivy River, "Boss, you’re finally back to see us. If you don’t return soon, we’ll be exhausted."

Ivy River patted her back soothingly, "I’m back now, aren’t I?"

"These past few years since you left, it’s been so tough."

"Alright, I’m just here for a quick look. I have to leave soon. When the kids have a long break, I’ll take them back to Riverland."

Hearing this, Grace Foster felt like the sky was falling.

She looked sorrowfully at Ivy River.

"I can’t even have lunch with you today. Come upstairs; I have something to discuss with you."

After saying that, Ivy River walked ahead.

Grace Foster was momentarily stunned before quickly following, "Boss, take a look at this renovation. Can we redo it? Our collaborative partners are all shocked when they see it."

Eve’s office building was very simple.

Everything adhered to a minimalist style.

"No need. Isn’t this just wasteful? It’s quite good as it is."

Ivy River glanced around and nodded in satisfaction.

"Everything is just painted white. It’s too simple, not even as good as Syrian style..." Grace Foster continued to argue.

Ivy River shook her head, "I think it’s good as is. By the way, I want to participate in the designer competition. Find a way to get me a spot, but don’t announce it’s for Lynn. And don’t use Eve’s name either."

"The designer competition... Are you sure?" Grace Foster’s face showed difficulty.

Ivy River solemnly replied, "Yes, I want to participate as an amateur."

Grace Foster was incredulous, "This is overkill. When did you start liking these domestic competitions? You even scoff at international ones."

"Isla Sutton is participating, and she has offended me."

Ivy River stated her purpose bluntly.

Grace Foster immediately understood, giving a thumbs up, eyes filled with admiration, "It’s got to be you, my dear. I’ll follow you loyally all my life because you always repay grudges."

Ivy River frowned, looking around and noticing some employees watching them.

She growled, "Grace Foster, can you keep it down?"

Grace Foster noticed they were still in the lobby and covered her mouth, speaking quietly, "I’ll be careful. Anything else?"

Ivy River thought for a moment, "The new product ’Cave.’ How’s the detail optimization going? Remember to set one aside for me when it’s ready."

"It’s almost done. Once the next version is out, I’ll review it. If it’s good, we’ll launch it."

Grace Foster suddenly remembered what Leon Peterson said, "By the way, Leon told me to keep an outfit for you. ’Cave’ is quite picky, favoring people with avant-garde dressing styles."

Ivy River nodded, "Charlotte Yeaton, the only daughter of the Yeaton Family. This line suits her well. I’ve checked."

"Charlotte Yeaton?!"

Grace Foster exclaimed in surprise.

Ivy River was puzzled, "Why, do you know her?"

"She’s quite the character. She’s straightforward with her words and actions, has offended many people in Riverland. If it weren’t for her grandfather’s high position, many noble families would criticize her."

Grace Foster explained her doubts, "How do you know her? But it’s also understandable, your personalities complement each other."

"Yesterday, when Isla Sutton was badmouthing me, she stood up for me. I think she’s suitable for the ’Cave’ series, so I’ll send her a few pieces to return the favor. If she doesn’t like them, she can do as she pleases. Her disposal of them has nothing to do with me."

Grace Foster: "..."

People who could attend Wiles Family banquets were either wealthy or influential.

Especially since Eve was founded in Riverland.

It was a top designer brand, admired by many socialites and wealthy ladies.

Moreover, pieces from Eve’s high-end series were extremely sought-after!

How could they be so worthless to their boss?

Grace Foster cautiously remarked, "Charlotte Yeaton loves Eve. She even asked someone to find previous series pieces for her. This time, gifting her ’Cave’ is spot-on."

Ivy River was indifferent, "Up to her. If she doesn’t like it, she can exchange it in the store or wait for something more suitable."
