Chapter 287: Chapter 287: Parents’ WeChat Group

Evening.

Xiao Fei checked the little backpacks of the kids.

There weren’t many textbooks issued by the kindergarten—only three books in total.

One was a picture book introducing various little life tips.

Another was a storybook filled with familiar tales, imparting small life lessons and helping children build their worldview.

The third book, however, surprised Xiao Fei.

"Honey, what are you looking at?"

"Take a look at this."

Xiao Fei held up the third book in his hand.

Tang Yuxin walked over curiously to have a look, and she was similarly surprised.

"Are you serious?"

"This kindergarten actually teaches history to kids?"

The so-called history book was more like a historical comic book.

It presented various little stories from ancient times to modern day in comic strip format.

"I think it’s great. Starting kids off with history early has more benefits than we can imagine."

Smiling, Xiao Fei put the historical comic book away.

As the saying goes, reading history makes one wise. Although the kids were still very young and not yet at the age of "reading" history, the difference between someone who understands history and someone who doesn’t is quite significant.

The day must have drained them of a lot of energy at kindergarten, because after dinner, the kids quickly became drowsy and went to bed half an hour earlier than usual.

The next day.

Since Tang Yuxin didn’t have classes in the morning, she went with Xiao Fei to drop the kids off at kindergarten.

The couple had already made a splash when they enrolled the kids, and now showing up together again inevitably attracted attention.

At the kindergarten gate, before they had even entered, Xiao Fei and Tang Yuxin saw quite a few children waving from a distance to greet their three kids.

Surprisingly, the kids could call out each of the children’s names without missing a single one.

Clearly, they were genuinely making an effort to remember people.

On closer observation, while the number of kids they knew had increased, the only one who seemed to share a particularly close bond with their three kids was still Bai Niangyu.

If one had to guess, perhaps it was because Bai Niangyu had spent some time learning with Xiao Fei before, making her behavior and way of thinking more aligned with their three kids, thereby fostering more common interests.

As class time approached, the three kids ran over to Xiao Fei, clinging to him and refusing to let go.

Da Bao behaved the best, while Er Bao and Sanbao had slightly red eyes. Sanbao, in particular, was tearful and kept using her little head to nuzzle against Xiao Fei.

"Qingmeng is being so brave today, not crying at all. How about Teacher gives you a little red flower as a reward later?"

"And if Qingmeng can bravely let go of Daddy and be the first to walk into the classroom, Teacher will reward you with two little red flowers, alright?"

As the homeroom teacher of the three kids, the young and beautiful Teacher Qin stood beside Xiao Fei and Tang Yuxin, using her gentle and soothing voice to comfort Sanbao.

With Teacher Qin’s encouragement, Sanbao hesitated for a moment but finally let go reluctantly.

Er Bao quickly followed suit, turning her little face toward Teacher Qin.

Staring!!!

"... Ahem, Tianshui is also amazing, so amazing. Teacher will reward you with a little red flower later too."

Only then did Er Bao break into a happy grin.

That mischievous little girl—who knows where she learned that from.

As for Da Bao, when Teacher Qin suggested rewarding him with a little red flower, he showed no reaction at all.

But was that really the case?

Xiao Fei and Tang Yuxin thought back to the previous night at home, when they stuck little red flowers to the wall and saw their three kids—including Da Bao—excited reactions. They couldn’t help but feel suspicious of Da Bao’s current behavior.

Upon closer inspection, they did notice something unusual.

Da Bao was lightly swaying his small body.

Familiar with Da Bao’s reactions, Xiao Fei and Tang Yuxin immediately guessed that this little guy was already feeling so happy inside he was practically humming.

Yet when other people were around, besides Xiao Fei and Tang Yuxin, Da Bao always acted far more mature than a three-year-old—almost excessively so.

After the kids entered the classroom, Teacher Qin turned to Xiao Fei and said:

"Mr. Xiao, your kids are truly outstanding."

"I’ve never seen children who, on their second day of kindergarten, adjust so smoothly without any crying or fussing."

"As you can see, the other new students from yesterday haven’t improved much over today, but your three children are incredibly low-maintenance."

Receiving compliments—especially from their kids’ teacher—was a unique experience Xiao Fei and Tang Yuxin had encountered before in early education classes.

But being praised by kindergarten teachers brought an equal, if not greater, sense of pride.

Holding Xiao Fei’s arm, Tang Yuxin’s eyes sparkled with joy: "It’s all thanks to my husband. He’s been the one primarily responsible for educating the kids at home. Since I have to teach students at school, I’ve been less involved in their upbringing."

"Oh? Miss Tang is a teacher as well? At which school?"

"At Jiaotong University."

"What?! Miss Tang is a university lecturer?"

When she found out Tang Yuxin was a university lecturer, Teacher Qin’s expression changed instantly.

Clearly, within the teaching profession, there’s an inherent hierarchy, and university lecturers sit at the top of this pyramid.

"Oh, Mr. Xiao, Miss Tang, I nearly forgot to mention this yesterday. This is the class parent WeChat group—could one of you add it?"

"I will."

The couple spoke in unison.

They exchanged glances before responding simultaneously again: "You go ahead."

"Pfft... hahaha..."

From the first reply to the laughter at the end, they achieved a perfect synchronization.

"You two have such a great relationship."

Teacher Qin’s face was full of envy.

The couple before her truly embodied the phrase "a match made in heaven."

"With a marriage as harmonious as yours, the atmosphere in the family must be exceptional, and that’s a huge benefit for the children’s growth."

"Of course, our relationship is wonderful."

Tang Yuxin affectionately held onto Xiao Fei’s arm, looking absolutely content.

"Honey, why don’t you add the group then?"

"Alright."

"But no chatting up any young moms in the group behind my back, okay!"

"Daily check-in with you?"

"I wouldn’t bother listening to that."

Tang Yuxin huffed proudly.

"By the way, I want sweet and sour ribs for lunch today."

"Sure, I’ll personally deliver them to you later."

Xiao Fei flicked Tang Yuxin on the forehead.

He also decided to visit her school today to meet his old mentor and drop by the lab.
