Chapter 282: Chapter 282: Super Exciting Game

"Hey, honey, what are you doing here?"

Tang Yuxin tugged Xiao Fei along and sat down at the table she and He Tong had been sitting at earlier, then asked in a sweet, soft voice.

Xiao Fei pointed at the three little ones.

"It’s all the kids. They couldn’t stay put at home and kept saying, ’Let’s go find Mommy, just like little ants looking for their mom.’ So they dragged me out here."

Tang Yuxin and He Tong burst into laughter at the children’s antics.

Neither of them bothered to ask Xiao Fei how he had known Tang Yuxin was here.

By now, both Tang Yuxin and He Tong understood that whenever Tang Yuxin went out, at least one of the bodyguards would shadow her.

Even if they didn’t show up openly, they would be close by, providing protection from any unforeseen dangers.

In turn, this also meant that Xiao Fei could always know Tang Yuxin’s whereabouts.

For most people, this might have seemed uncomfortable, but Tang Yuxin didn’t mind at all.

In her view, what’s the big deal if her husband always knew where she was?

After all, if she wanted, Xiao Fei could definitely find a way for her to know what he was up to at any given moment too.

The next day.

Finally, the day had come to send the children to kindergarten.

Early in the morning.

The little ones were so excited that they woke up even earlier than usual.

It wasn’t even 7:30 yet, and the three little guys were already wide awake in bed.

"Brother, brother, what time is it~"

Er Bao turned his head to look at Da Bao, who lay to his left.

Da Bao rolled over and glanced at the clock on the nightstand.

"It’s... seven... twenty... minutes!"

"Ugh... Why isn’t Daddy here yet?"

Er Bao muttered, sounding a little impatient.

She really wanted Daddy to come quickly so they could get up, get dressed, have breakfast, and then get all prettied up for kindergarten.

Sanbao, lying to Er Bao’s right, squirmed as he said, "But Daddy usually doesn’t come until eight o’clock, you know."

"Gosh... that’s so long to wait!"

Er Bao waved her little hands dramatically.

Then Da Bao suddenly suggested, "How about... we get up by ourselves?"

"Huh?"

Er Bao and Sanbao’s eyes lit up at the suggestion.

Right! Why wait for Daddy to come and help them get up?

They were big kids now; they could get up all on their own!

Once the idea came, they acted on it immediately. The three little ones sat up at once, grabbed the neatly folded clothes sitting on the nightstand from the night before, and started getting dressed.

"Ugh... I can’t get this on... Waaaah..."

"Don’t rush, don’t rush! I’ll help you~"

"Um... this button..."

"That’s wrong, Daddy said the top of the shirt should be tucked into the pants!"

"Silly brother, this is a dress, not pants!"

After all, they were just kids. While putting on their clothes wasn’t a huge problem, getting everything neat and tidy was another story.

In the end, the three of them struggled for a while, making a bit of a mess as they tried to help each other—or, rather, make things even harder for each other—before finally stumbling off the bed.

It was their first time getting up without waiting for Xiao Fei to come, and they felt like they were sneaking around behind Mom and Dad’s backs, playing some super exciting game. They tiptoed cautiously to the bedroom door.

Then...

"Ugh... can’t reach."

The doorknob was too high for their little hands to reach.

"I’ll go get the little stepstool!"

Er Bao pitter-pattered back to the bed and dragged the small stepstool they used to climb up and down the bed, then pitter-pattered back to the door.

Finally, Da Bao stood on the stepstool and managed to grab the doorknob.

With a creak, the door swung open.

The children moved the stepstool out of the way and peeked their little heads cautiously through the gap in the door.

The house was silent as a mouse, without a single sound.

Not just Mommy and Daddy, even Xiang Zilan and Little Bei were still fast asleep.

The children exchanged glances and then, in a single-file line, snuck out of the bedroom as quietly as they could.

Of course, their first instinct was to head to the bathroom to wash up. But once they got there, they suddenly realized there was no way they could reach the sink without Xiao Fei’s help.

"Looks like we need the little stepstool again."

A short while later, the kids worked together, bringing the stepstool over, climbing on it, and reaching for their small cups.

Inside the cups were their children’s toothbrushes and toothpaste.

They poured water into the cups, squeezed toothpaste onto the toothbrushes, and started brushing.

Bristle, bristle, bristle...

The result? Toothpaste everywhere—even on their faces.

But the kids didn’t really care about that. After brushing their teeth, they moved on to washing their faces.

Which brought up their biggest problem yet.

After wetting the towel, none of them were strong enough to wring it out!

And once the towel was wet, it became heavy, making it almost impossible for the little ones to lift.

"Ugh... What should we do?"

"It’s so heavy..."

"I can’t twist it."

The children stared at the wet towel in the sink, frowning in frustration.

"What if, brother, you hold one end, I hold the other, and sister twists in the middle?"

"Wanna try?"

"Let’s try!"

...

As the little ones racked their brains and worked together, they had no idea that outside the bathroom, Xiao Fei and Tang Yuxin were peeking in, watching them.

In fact, Xiao Fei had woken up the moment the kids opened their bedroom door.

He’d gotten up secretly and had been quietly observing them ever since—even waking Tang Yuxin up to join him.

For the parents, there was something impossibly charming and joyful about hiding in the shadows, secretly watching their children figure things out on their own.

"Hubby, the kids are soooo cute!"

Watching the scene, Tang Yuxin’s heart completely melted.

Da Bao and Er Bao each held one end of the towel while Sanbao twisted furiously in the middle—it was such an adorable sight that Tang Yuxin felt like her heart was bursting with pink, puffy clouds of cuteness.

Didn’t the little ones realize that this method would never get the towel wrung out?

"Honey, should we go help them?"

"Let’s wait a bit longer, let’s see what they do."

Xiao Fei replied as he pulled out his phone to record a video of the kids.

Such a hilarious and precious moment—it would be a real shame not to capture it and share it with the family group chat.

But just then, Sanbao seemed to lose her balance while twisting the towel and looked like she was about to tumble over.

Tang Yuxin barely registered the gust of wind beside her before Xiao Fei darted forward in a single stride and caught Sanbao in his arms.

"Huh...?"

Sanbao, who had fallen halfway and landed safely in her daddy’s embrace, blinked in confusion for a moment. When she saw Xiao Fei, she immediately brightened up, turned around, and threw her arms around him.

"Daddy, Daddy, you’re up!"

"Daddy! Today we got up earlier than you and Mommy!"

"We’re the earliest today!"

"Xiang Zilan and Little Bei are still asleep, but we’re already up!"

The kids immediately surrounded Xiao Fei and, seeing Tang Yuxin following behind him, began proudly showing off to their parents, eager for praise.
