Chapter 236: Chapter 236: Catching the Thief

Tang Yuxin felt immediately flustered under Xiao Fei’s gaze.

Why didn’t the kids go to their early education class?

Wasn’t it because her husband was just too handsome? If he took the kids, those young moms would lose their minds over him!

Of course, this wasn’t a reason Tang Yuxin would ever admit out loud.

So, Tang Yuxin had to come up with another approach: "Kids, the things the teachers teach, Daddy can teach too. Do you want the teachers to teach you, or do you want Daddy to teach you?"

"Daddy teaches~"

The kids answered without hesitation.

Little Yu quickly chimed in, "I-I like Uncle teaching too."

"Brother Xiao is really amazing at teaching kids."

Bai Zheyan added, "Ever since Little Yu joined the lessons, her progress has been so glaring my wife and I can hardly believe it."

Even though Tang Yuxin gave her explanation, the kids still felt a little disappointed about not earning a little red flower.

Seeing the kids looking like this, Xiao Fei nudged Tang Yuxin playfully with his elbow: "Honey, how about we send the kids to early education classes after all?"

"Sure."

Tang Yuxin nodded.

Xiao Fei: "???"

What was going on with his wife? Why did she suddenly agree? Wasn’t she against it before? "You’re serious?"

"I had a change of heart,"

Tang Yuxin smiled gently, "and besides, I trust you."

Bai Zheyan watched the couple’s cryptic exchange. Though he couldn’t understand the underlying story, he didn’t pry further.

So, Xiao Fei smiled at the kids and said, "Alright, kids, since you all want to go to class, Daddy will take you. But you have to promise to be good, okay?"

"Yay...!!"

Hearing that both Mom and Dad were taking them to class, the three little ones immediately broke out in cheers.

"Brother Bai, where does Little Yu go for her early education classes?"

"It’s at XXX..."

Bai Zheyan shared the location of the classes Little Yu attended.

Upon hearing it, Xiao Fei couldn’t help but chuckle.

Wasn’t that the same place they had visited previously?

Back then, it was because Tang Yuxin had noticed all the young moms staring at him that she felt uncomfortable.

Who would’ve thought they’d end up circling back to the same place?

Soon, lunch was ready.

He Tong’s cooking skills, though not quite on par with Xiao Fei’s, were still decent for home-style dishes.

However, Tang Yuxin and the kids were so used to the flavor of Xiao Fei’s cooking that the sudden drop-off in taste today left them a bit unenthusiastic.

Nevertheless, whether it was Tang Yuxin or the kids, they politely finished their meals.

"I’m so sorry, my cooking isn’t as good as Brother Xiao’s..."

"No worries, it’s delicious."

Xiao Fei quickly reassured her.

The kids were also gracious, with Da Bao piping up in his little squeaky voice, "Auntie’s cooking is really tasty!"

"Yeah~"

"Yummy~"

The kids’ praise caused He Tong to smile so wide her face nearly froze in joy.

After lunch, Bai Zheyan suddenly received a phone call.

When he hung up, he smiled wryly and said, "Brother Xiao, I’m really sorry. Something urgent just came up at the company..."

"That’s fine, go ahead. We were actually about to leave too."

"No no no, Brother Xiao, you all keep enjoying yourselves..."

Though Zheyan said so, after he left, Xiao Fei and Tang Yuxin didn’t stay much longer, intending to leave as well.

"Sister He, how about we go shopping this afternoon?"

Tang Yuxin hooked arms with He Tong and extended her invitation.

He Tong hesitated and glanced at Bai Niangyu.

"It’s fine—Little Yu can stay with Xiao Fei,"

Tang Yuxin blinked mischievously.

She actually blinked at Da Bao instead!

Da Bao couldn’t grasp his mom’s intentions at all, but seeing her blink, he mimicked her expression and blinked right back.

This adorable reaction almost made Tang Yuxin burst out in laughter.

After consideration, He Tong eventually agreed.

And so, Xiao Fei took charge of the four little ones, while the two women headed out together.

At first, He Tong was somewhat concerned that Tang Yuxin might take her to high-end establishments she couldn’t afford. But as the outing progressed, she realized Tang Yuxin was only visiting affordable stores.

Though these choices were simply part of Tang Yuxin’s personal habits, He Tong mistakenly thought it was consideration for her. Her fondness for Tang Yuxin surged as she started to genuinely embrace this family.

Soon enough, the two women were carrying bags packed with goodies.

Although most purchases were made by Tang Yuxin, He Tong did buy quite a few things as well.

Gradually, He Tong even forgot about Tang Yuxin’s social standing.

While heading to the parking lot, Tang Yuxin suddenly felt as though someone had bumped into her.

Soon after, she saw a man wearing a baseball cap brush past her.

Tang Yuxin muttered in annoyance, "What the heck—bumping into someone and not even apologizing?"

He Tong watched the man walk away, and suddenly noticed a woman hastily approaching him.

The woman swiftly grabbed the man’s arm from behind. Using a clean, skillful grappling technique, she threw him to the ground, then knelt down, pressed her knee against his back, and locked his arms tightly behind him.

"What’s going on?"

He Tong was briefly stunned, but Tang Yuxin quickly recognized the woman and hurried over.

"Ning Yi, what’s going on?"

Following behind, He Tong heard Tang Yuxin calling Ning Yi’s name, realizing they knew each other.

A gathering crowd began forming, while the man on the ground struggled and shouted loudly.

"What are you doing?! Let me go! I’m calling the cops!"

"Calling the cops? Sure,"

Ning Yi sneered and turned to Tang Yuxin, "Madam, this man just stole your wallet."

Madam?

The way Ning Yi addressed Tang Yuxin suddenly triggered something in He Tong’s mind.

Could this be one of those legendary private bodyguards hired by wealthy families?

Nearby onlookers began glancing toward Tang Yuxin with newfound admiration.

Some younger girls even stared wide-eyed—being this beautiful was one thing, but having a personal bodyguard sounded like a life straight out of their dreams.

"Stole my wallet?"

"Let me go! I didn’t steal anything! You’re slandering me! Let me go!"

The thief on the ground struggled even harder, but Ning Yi casually twisted his wrist, prompting an immediate cry of pain.

"Shut up,"

Ning Yi retorted, before reaching into the man’s pocket and pulling out an elegant women’s wallet.

In reality, Tang Yuxin’s wallet didn’t contain much cash—only a couple of bank cards.

Which was typical nowadays, given the prevalence of mobile payment systems.

Still, Tang Yuxin felt a wave of satisfaction as Ning Yi returned the wallet to her.

After taking the wallet, Tang Yuxin stared at the thief on the ground and thought for a moment before saying, "Call the police, Ning Yi. Let them handle him."
