Chapter 434: The Poisonous Woman!
Chapter 434: Chapter 434: The Poisonous Woman!
Zhao Tianhao really couldn’t believe everything that was happening now.
His wife, Sun Wei, was actually taking the initiative to please him, something he had never dared to dream of before.
Yet, it was truly happening now, and his wife’s passion almost melted his heart. The two quickly became intimate, and the room was filled with sounds that made cheeks blush and hearts race for quite a while.
Not long after, everything quieted down, and a content Zhao Tianhao hugged Sun Wei’s slender waist with utter happiness, whispering in her ear,
"My wife, I love you."
"Marrying you has been the happiest thing in my life."
"I’ve already found the cave my boss is looking for, and the location is confirmed. I’ll soon get the twenty million remuneration the boss promised."
"Then, I’ll take you to move to Beijing, buy a house to settle down, and we’ll have two more children. We will be the happiest family..."
Zhao Tianhao excitedly planned his future; his future was certainly going to be blissful.
Career, marriage, he was proud of both. His future would be bright.
Just as Zhao Tianhao was excited, Sun Wei asked, "Where is the survey report?"
Zhao Tianhao replied, "It’s in my hiking backpack."
"Husband, you’ve really worked hard these three years. You can rest well now!"
Suddenly, Sun Wei’s eyes revealed a ferocious look, and she violently clutched Zhao Tianhao’s neck.
Just before, she was intimately involved with Zhao Tianhao, passionately engaged, and now she was trying to kill him, gripping his neck without a shred of hesitation.
Zhao Tianhao struggled fiercely, never dreaming that his wife would try to kill him. He desperately tried to pry Sun Wei’s hands off, but in vain. His apparently gentle and weak wife, Sun Wei, had such a strong grip that he couldn’t break free at all.
It didn’t take long before Zhao Tianhao stopped moving and died on the bed.
Sun Wei made sure Zhao Tianhao was dead before retracting her hands. She emotionlessly picked up her clothes to dress, then went to find the backpack, quickly retrieving a geological survey report and showing a satisfied smile. Then she made a phone call.
"The item is in hand, Zhao Tianhao’s team is no longer necessary. Make sure they all keep quiet forever to prevent any leaks."
After issuing the order to execute Zhao Tianhao’s geological survey team, Sun Wei took one last look at the husband she had lived with for three years, grabbed a bottle of gasoline, poured it on the bed, lit a fire, and immediately turned to leave the home she had been in for three years.
Before Sun Wei could leave the police station’s family compound, dozens of police cars roared up outside,—silent but swift. Three hundred SWAT officers quickly descended, encircling the complex, not allowing anyone to enter or exit at will.
Zi Yumo personally led the team, charging in and searching every room for Sun Wei.
Seeing the situation was bad, Sun Wei tried to find a way to escape, but the police were everywhere outside and she couldn’t get away. Out of options, she only managed to take photos of the documents with her phone and send them out. Then she burst into someone’s home, violently taking hostages, hoping to force the SWAT to clear a path for her to make an escape.
But Zi Yumo wasn’t about to let this killer—responsible for who knows how many deaths—get away. She deployed snipers, who shot and blew one of her arms, and then the officers swarmed in to capture her alive.
After taking the culprit alive, the firefighting work formally began, and soon the flames were extinguished.
Zi Yumo entered the fire scene to investigate and discovered a body on the bed. Judging from the condition of the limbs, it was clear the victim had been killed before the fire was set.
After asking around the family courtyard, they found out that the household was indeed Sun Wei’s, her husband named Zhao Tianhao, in his forties, known to be an honest and down-to-earth man reported to be a geologist.
After further inquiring about Zhao Tianhao’s height and comparing it with the corpse, Zi Yumo initially concluded that the deceased was Zhao Tianhao.
Having subdued Sun Wei, Zi Yumo first had someone perform simple wound dressing and stop the bleeding, then began the interrogation, asking why she had killed Zhang Guangxian and others, why she had killed her husband Zhao Tianhao, who her boss was, and what exactly her objectives were in Qingshan Town.
To these questions, Sun Wei, with one hand broken, kept her mouth shut as if she were mute, unwilling to say anything.
With Sun Wei refusing to speak, Zi Yumo had no solution for the time being and had someone send her to the hospital, with an order for the SWAT team to keep a close watch to ensure no further complications.
Later, Zi Yumo made a call to Xu Qianli, informing him that the suspect was in custody.
Xu Qianli naturally praised her and said that he would make sure to reward her properly when he had time, causing her heart to flutter as she inwardly cursed him for being shameless, suspecting that his idea of ’rewarding’ her was just an excuse to take advantage of her.
After chatting for a while, Zi Yumo noticed something was off; faintly, from Xu Qianli’s side of the line, the sound of a woman could be heard, a sound that made one’s face flush and heart race, and it was not difficult to guess what Xu Qianli was engaged in on the other end of the call.
Infuriated by the fact that Xu Qianli was entertaining some woman while talking to her, Zi Yumo cursed him out and hung up.
No sooner had she hung up the phone than it rang again—it was a colleague informing her of a shocking discovery at a rural household in Qingshan Town, where they had found six bodies.
The person reporting the case was a neighbor who had called the police after hearing screams from next door.
When the police entered to investigate, they found six bodies, all still warm, the blood not yet coagulated, all freshly killed.
According to the neighbor, these people seemed to be following a middle-aged man named Zhao Tianhao; they all called him professor and were involved in geological surveys or some kind of geological excavation—it was work related to geology, anyway.
The neighbor also revealed that their geological exploration team had a total of eight people.
Although Zi Yumo did not fully understand what was happening, she quickly inferred some things.
The murder of Zhao Tianhao and the six members of his geological survey team was definitely the deed of the same group of people.
If Sun Wei had killed Zhao Tianhao, then the ones who killed those other six must be her accomplices—all from the same gang.
Killing Zhao Tianhao and the others now meant nothing more than silencing witnesses; what were they trying to hide?
And there were eight people in the team; seven had been killed, where was the eighth?
Had one seen trouble coming and fled, was not in Qingshan Town to begin with, or was that person the actual killer of the other six?
Regardless, that individual was a clue, one that had to be found immediately, no matter what.
Zi Yumo immediately sprang into action, utilizing multiple investigations, and soon found the only surviving member of Zhao Tianhao’s team.
This person was named Ge Qing, a girl in her early twenties who had been injured last month while participating in a geological exploration with Zhao Tianhao and others and was currently staying in Jiang City County Hospital.
Zi Yumo led a team to Jiang City County Hospital without delay and arrived at Ge Qing’s ward.
Regrettably, they were still a step too late; the person had already lost her life, a short knife stabbed into her chest, clearly a murder!
Annoyed, Zi Yumo meticulously inspected the room and soon made a discovery—beneath the blanket lay a photo, a picture of the Five-Colored Cave in Qingshan Town.
