The Beautiful CEO’s Dragon Blood Bodyguard -
Chapter 483: Unnatural Hand Speed
Chapter 483: Chapter 483: Unnatural Hand Speed
Binhai City Police Training Base was usually a place dedicated to police training, featuring shooting ranges, obstacle courses, firearms displays, and simulated urban combat scenarios.
During holidays and festivals, the facility would also open its doors to the public.
When Long Fei arrived, Ding Xue was already waiting for him at the entrance, decked out in a black tank top and camouflage pants.
She wore a white sun hat, the brim partly concealing her spirited and pretty face.
Her toned, slender waist and fairness as white as snow, she was the embodiment of a standard lady officer.
"Elder Long, you’re finally back," she said, pouting at Long Fei in mock annoyance.
Long Fei couldn’t help but laugh, "Hey, just call me brother. Don’t call me Elder, it messes up the seniority."
"Get lost!"
Ding Xue punched him, her sunny smile even brighter.
Her punch was strong enough to make Long Fei’s muscles quiver.
Long Fei, with his bike, followed her inside. Her status here wasn’t low, and the guard at the post even saluted her.
When they arrived at a training hall, he stopped his bicycle, crouched down to take out a chain to lock it.
Ding Xue, exasperated, pulled him up and said, "Can you not make trouble? We’re pressed for time. Even if you left this broken bike on the street, no one would want it."
Long Fei complained, "What you’re saying... This is the first mountain bike of my life; it’s precious to me."
He insisted on taking out the lock and secured it at the back.
Ding Xue slapped her forehead, truly exasperated with this guy.
This was a police training base, what kind of idiot thief would come here to steal bikes!
The two of them went inside, and a series of gunshots rang out.
They were in the shooting hall, where Ding Xue had specifically arranged for the police department’s most excellent shooting instructor to train Long Fei.
The instructor wasn’t always available. Ding Xue had scheduled two sessions for Long Fei, but the guy didn’t even have the time to come back from Xianggang.
The instructor, speechless with annoyance, would not have waited here if it weren’t for Ding Xue’s sake.
Back in police academy days, the instructor had taken a liking to her.
He had pursued her for years, and had never given up.
As soon as Long Fei arrived, the handsome and tall man immediately showed a hint of displeasure, sizing up Long Fei from head to toe.
His eyes were focused, his short hair neat and tidy, wearing a SWAT uniform that suited him well.
Long Fei was a bit surprised; he hadn’t expected the instructor to be so young.
Ding Xue approached and introduced Long Fei to the instructor, "Brother Tiejun, this is my friend. Please take good care of him."
She turned back to Long Fei and said, "Little Fei, this is Yang Tiejun, the most formidable shooting instructor in our training base. He’s going to coach you for an hour. Make sure you listen carefully."
"Little Fei?"
Long Fei glanced at her, feeling that the name was quite awkward.
Ding Xue winked at him as a hint.
Long Fei probably understood; being undercover meant you had to protect your identity, even in front of allies, you couldn’t be careless with information.
But this Little Fei, it really lacked technical substance.
He approached to shake hands with Instructor Yang, but the latter ignored him completely and walked straight to a long table.
Ding Xue smiled slyly and pulled Long Fei over.
On the table, a range of gun parts was laid out.
Yang Tiejun said, "Listen up, I’ll explain everything only once. If you want to learn to shoot well, first you need to understand the mechanics of firearms. These items on the table are the innards of a gun..."
He went through a quick explanation to Long Fei about the barrel, the action, magazines, and rifling without caring whether Long Fei understood, moving from the handguns on the left side all the way to the submachine guns at the end.
Of course, there were also sniper rifles, as often seen on TV.
"Next, I’ll demonstrate how to assemble them. I’ll only demonstrate once for each firearm, so watch carefully," he said.
Seeing Ding Xue and Long Fei so close together, Yang Tiejun couldn’t help but feel a sour twinge in his heart and wanted to intentionally trouble Long Fei.
His hands touched the parts as if endowed with spiritual energy, swiftly assembling a handgun in a few smooth motions.
A group of officers came over and surrounded them.
Someone timed him and excitedly exclaimed, "Brother Tiejun, 9.3 seconds, that’s 0.2 seconds faster than your previous record!"
"Keep it down, you’re still far from the world record!"
Yang Tiejun looked at Long Fei with pride, feeling like he was facing a rival in love.
Ding Xue sighed, thinking it was a mistake to choose Yang Tiejun as her coach.
What’s he up to?
She failed to see that Yang Tiejun was just green with envy.
Long Fei, on the other hand, seemed to understand a bit and casually asked Yang Tiejun, "What’s the world record time?"
Yang Tiejun said, "8.2 seconds, you try it. It might be a bit slow the first time, so I’ll give you three minutes. If you can assemble it within three minutes, I’ll teach you the next step. If you can’t, don’t waste my time."
The young cops around chuckled, "Brother Yang, aren’t you making it hard for him? It’s his first time touching a gun, it’s got to take at least ten minutes, right?"
"I think it should be half an hour, that’s how long I fiddled with it the first time."
Ding Xue couldn’t help but speak up for Long Fei, "Yang Tiejun, did I ask you to show off when I asked you to teach? Isn’t this making things difficult for him?"
Yang Tiejun was already feeling jealous, and now he felt even more sour, "Ding Xue, what’s your relationship with him?"
"Nonsense, we’re friends of course!"
Ding Xue’s face flushed, unconsciously flashing a shy bashfulness.
She was oblivious, but the men around her saw it clear as day, that was the look of a couple.
Someone joked thoughtlessly, "Ding the beauty, don’t tell me he’s your boyfriend?"
"Get lost!"
Ding Xue grabbed a part and, embarrassed, threw it at them.
The junior cop caught it, and the whole group burst out laughing.
Only Yang Tiejun had a darker face, having chased after Ding Xue for so many years, only for Long Fei to show up out of the blue.
He became even more sullen and pushed Long Fei, "Stop wasting time and start already!"
"Let’s give it a try then!"
Long Fei remained calm, flexed his hands, and set them open on the table.
A young cop by the side held a stopwatch, cheering on Long Fei, "It’s okay to be slow, we all started like this. Nobody in our training base compares to Big Brother Yang when it comes to assembling speed."
The others laughed and waited to see Long Fei make a fool of himself.
Yang Tiejun shouted, "Begin!"
The junior cop started the stopwatch, but hardly saw Long Fei’s hands move before the pistol took shape in his hands.
With a smack, the pistol hit the table.
The junior cop hurriedly stopped the stopwatch, astonished by the time, it was only 5.2 seconds—and that’s after he dawdled.
"How is that possible!"
"What a master!"
"Wow, I knew it! Ding the beauty wouldn’t choose a noob for a boyfriend!"
"Big Brother Yang is in trouble now!"
Everyone on the scene was shocked, muttering to themselves as they stared at Yang Tiejun.
A flicker of surprise passed over Yang Tiejun’s face as he picked up the pistol Long Fei had assembled, expertly loaded it, and pulled the trigger.
With a snap, it was perfect, not a single flaw.
He looked at Ding Xue and frowned, "Little Xue, what’s this supposed to mean? Didn’t you say he had never touched a gun before?"
Ding Xue laughed awkwardly, "Yeah, he hadn’t before!"
Yang Tiejun didn’t believe it and turned his gaze sharply towards Long Fei with a hint of anger, "Are you and Ding Xue here to challenge me on purpose?"
He misunderstood, thinking Ding Xue had deliberately brought a sharpshooter to pose as a newbie, just to undermine him.
Long Fei remained calm and shrugged, "Think whatever you want, but I really am handling a gun for the first time!"
The speed of a man who had been single for twenty years—that was a joke.
His casual tone made Yang Tiejun even more upset; it was as if he was being mocked.
Nobody would believe he was this fast on his first try.
He challenged Long Fei with full pride, "Fine, it doesn’t matter if you don’t admit it. Since you’re here to challenge, I, Yang Tiejun, will accept. Tell me, how do you want to compete?"
The environment suddenly filled with tension, exciting the bystanders who sensed a good show was coming.
