In the morning, Long Fei was sleeping soundly.

Suddenly, his phone started ringing. Picking it up, he saw it was a call from Xu Dong.

Long Fei slapped his forehead, nearly forgetting the important matter at hand.

It was Saturday, and Xu Dong had arranged to go to Caicai’s house to propose marriage.

He answered the call and agreed on a place to meet, ready to take a taxi there in a while.

Lin Yingying was showering in the bathroom; she too wanted Long Fei to accompany her to visit her parents today.

Hearing the phone ring, she thought it was Wang Xiaoya calling, quickly popped her head out, and shouted to Long Fei, "You don’t have a date today, do you?"

Long Fei frowned and said, "You have something on?"

Lin Yingying pulled a long face, "Who said I have a date with you today?"

Long Fei laughed dryly, "Didn’t you say you didn’t want to have a date with me?"

Lin Yingying grinded her teeth and said, "Can’t you hear what I mean? I don’t care, you stayed with Wang Xiaoya at a five-star hotel; I want to go too!"

Long Fei broke into a sweat, thinking to himself, could she have put a tracker on him? How did she know all this?

He cleared his throat and tried to decline, "Well, today, I’ve made plans with Xu Dong to go to his mother-in-law’s house for a marriage proposal. We can reschedule our date!"

"A marriage proposal?"

Lin Yingying looked at him skeptically, furrowing her brows, "He’s proposing; what are you going to do there?"

Long Fei explained, "He’s nervous, so he asked me to act as a mediator."

Lin Yingying laughed, "Don’t kid me, with your clumsy tongue, how can you act as a matchmaker? Wait for me; I’ll join you, and I’ll be the matchmaker."

"You’re not joking, are you?"

Long Fei’s eyes widened, wondering when she developed this interest.

Without paying him any attention, Lin Yingying rinsed off in the bathroom, applied light makeup, then went to the bedroom and came out in a different dress.

Her skin was beautiful, and she usually didn’t waste time on makeup.

"How about it? Pretty or not?"

He now had a rough idea of how much women’s clothing cost.

But bringing Lin Yingying wasn’t a bad idea; this way, they could curb Caicai’s family’s arrogance and possibly keep the bride price from skyrocketing.

As they were preparing to leave, Lin Shanshan finally got up from her bedroom.

She was wearing a strappy nightdress, patting her cheeks, and asked them sleepily, "Where are you two off to?"

"A marriage proposal!"

Lin Yingying threw out a reply and commanded, "You stay nicely at home. It’s not safe these days; don’t wander around unnecessarily."

Lin Shanshan’s eyes widened with excitement, "What marriage proposal? Is my brother-in-law going to propose to mom and dad? Then I have to go back, right?"

Lin Yingying pursed her lips, looked at Long Fei with annoyance, and said, "He’s not going to propose to me. It’s for his security brother’s marriage proposal!"

Long Fei touched his head and laughed awkwardly, thinking that if she had fancied him sooner, would he have this extra feeling to deal with?

Of course, that was just something he thought to himself.

Lin Shanshan asked her sister curiously, "If they’re the ones proposing, why are you going?"

Lin Yingying gave her a look and said, "Mind your own business; talkative ghost!"

She grabbed her purse and left. Gold was trendy this year, and even her purse had gold trim.

Lin Yingying wrinkled her nose, feeling left out of what seemed like a fun event.

Her eyes searched the room and just happened to catch the Bald Dog sneaking out of the bedroom with a stolen dried fish.

When the Bald Dog approached, Lin Shanshan kicked him on the body and angrily hugged her arms as she cursed, "Everyone else has a man to accompany them, why do I only have a dog to play with!"

The Bald Dog let out a woeful whine, inwardly lamenting who on earth he had provoked.

Why take it out on me for no reason?

It slipped out the door, thinking to itself that it was not going to enter this room again. Both these female owners were crazier than the other, absolute lunatics.

Downstairs, Long Fei had been preparing to take a cab with Xu Dong.

Now that Lin Yingying had driven up, he didn’t have to bother anymore.

Lin Yingying buckled her seatbelt and curiously asked him, "Didn’t you enroll for a driving license? When will you finish your exam?"

Long Fei stretched out his legs comfortably and said, "I can only take the second subject next Monday, and I reckon I’ll get the license by the end of the month."

Lin Yingying cursed silently, thinking to herself that she, a distinguished director, had ended up playing chauffeur for them.

He thought that if Long Fei and Lin Yingying ever got together, he would buy another one just like it and return it to Long Fei as a dowry.
