The Beautiful CEO’s Dragon Blood Bodyguard -
Chapter 306: A Thrilling Night
Chapter 306: Chapter 306: A Thrilling Night
The lighting on the upper floor was poor, the office was so dark that without tools, you couldn’t see anything at all.
Fire Snake looked at the man in shock; he could actually see her clearly without any effort.
If he could talk, it meant that he wasn’t a ghost.
Her hands were agile, and she quickly retrieved the bomb she had just placed on the cabinet.
Such an item was hard to find in Huaxia; she only had one with her this time.
Without seeing the target, she couldn’t use the device.
Long Fei thought to himself, Hey, I’m right here, and you dare to steal in front of me.
He hadn’t quite seen what Fire Snake had taken from above, so he reached out to grab her leg.
Just then, Fire Snake jumped down.
As her body sank, his hand missed her leg, instead grabbing a hefty handful of Fire Snake’s buttocks.
Wow, such elasticity.
Before Long Fei could release his grip, Fire Snake let out a cry, swung her knife backhand, and stabbed towards his wrist.
With such speed, an ordinary person would definitely bleed from the knife wound.
Long Fei, however, revealed his Essential Qi in the palm of his hand, and with a sudden jolt, he shook Fire Snake’s buttocks forcefully.
With a bang, Fire Snake was sent flying, rolling several times on the ground and creating distance between herself and Long Fei.
"Grandmaster Realm?"
She stared incredulously at the man covered in "blood," astonished that he could emit Essential Qi externally?
Long Fei sniffed the palm of his hand, smelling a young girl’s fragrance.
Luckily, he hadn’t caused her to pass gas, which would have definitely stunk.
He smiled faintly, "Not bad moves, isn’t it a waste to be a thief?"
Fire Snake snorted, "What I do is none of your business!"
Today, she had to kill this man.
To dare to touch her there, he truly didn’t want to live.
Her finger was adorned with a copper ring, and attached to it was a thread that wrapped around the handle of the knife, which she threw at Long Fei.
The dagger gleamed coldly in the dark, arriving in an instant.
With a whoosh, controlled by the thread in her hand, it shot towards Long Fei’s neck like a Long Spear.
"Using Qi to control the dagger?"
Long Fei furrowed his brow, surprised that the female thief could release True Qi externally, which meant she was at least at the Master Realm!
He leaned his body back to avoid the knife.
However, the thread-controlled dagger clung to him like a persistent disease, continuously slashing in his direction.
Utilizing Bagua footwork, he dodged up and down.
The knife followed closely, several times missing his neck by a hair’s breadth.
He thought to himself that this girl did have some tricks; he had tried a few moves, but couldn’t determine which Sect she was from.
At first, he thought it was Swallow Sect.
Swallow Sect liked this sort of thing – coming to an office in the middle of the night to steal stuff was utterly boring.
Now it seemed less likely, as each of her attacks was deadly, more resembling an assassin’s technique than a thief’s.
He scowled between his brows and flicked a finger at the dagger.
Releasing Essential Qi, he produced a misty beam of light in the darkness, forcefully knocking the dagger away with a thud.
If it had been an ordinary dagger, his finger’s Essential Qi would have surely shattered it.
Yet the dagger was pitch-black and emitted only a metallic ring without showing any effect from the impact.
Fire Snake quickly retreated, dissipating the force of the rebound and clutched the dagger in her hand.
She looked at Long Fei in surprise, as Long Fei curiously stared back at her.
"You’re from Hell Sect, aren’t you?" Long Fei asked coldly, fixing his gaze on her eyes.
Fire Snake gave a contemptuous snort, "That’s none of your business!"
She threw her dagger, not at Long Fei, but at a side window, smashing it.
The tempered glass shattered with a bang under the impact of the dagger.
Pieces of glass over a meter high fell smashing to the ground below.
"Planning to escape?"
Long Fei kicked a hundred-plus-pound leather sofa, sending it flying towards the female assassin with a thud.
The female assassin sprang into the air, stepped on the sofa with one foot, and with a thump, smashed the sofa to the ground.
At the same time, she leaped outward.
Long Fei had already passed by, grabbing her leg in the process.
With a twist of her brow, she flung the dagger in her hand, aiming it straight at Long Fei’s neck.
Long Fei leaned back intending to pull her up.
He pulled with force, but his hand only caught her pants.
The female assassin’s leather pants tore under his grasp, like unwrapping a dumpling, and she plummeted towards the ground below.
Her snowy white legs were exposed, wrapped in seductive silk panties, causing Long Fei to stare wide-eyed.
The twenty-story building was more than eighty meters high.
As the female assassin fell, Long Fei thought she must have had a parachute or something similar on her, or she wouldn’t have dared to jump.
The night wind howled through the window, and he watched intently outside.
Finally, he saw a pair of black wings emerge from her back, about the length of an arm.
The wings flapped, and though she couldn’t fly, they slowed her descent gravitationally.
She rolled upon hitting the ground, half-naked, and quickly disappeared into the night.
The commotion above had already drawn the attention of the security guards.
Taking the elevator up, led by the deputy squad leader Wu Kui, they approached the glass doors with flashlights, shouting, "Who’s there?"
"You’re surrounded, come out now!"
"Damn it, can’t a guy get some sleep at night!"
A group of security guards yelled frantically, their batons trembling in their hands.
Long Fei opened the door and stepped out, their flashlight beams all shining on his face.
Long Fei shielded his face with his hand and yelled at them, "Move the light away, I am Long Fei."
"Boss?"
"Big brother?"
The guards hurriedly moved their flashlights, and upon seeing him emerge, they all stepped back in shock and exclaimed, "Boss, you’re injured?"
With the female assassin’s leather pants in one hand and adjusting his clothes with the other, Long Fei said somewhat confusedly, "Injured? What injury?"
Wu Kui yelled, "Your face is covered in blood!"
"Is it?"
Long Fei, feeling nothing, reached up to wipe his face, only to see his palm stained red.
He sniffed at it, and realized it was not blood but the scent of cinnabar.
He asked someone to turn on the light and knocked on the bathroom door.
Damn it, he’d been played by Lin Yingying again.
No wonder the female assassin had called him a ghost; his face was covered in cinnabar, making him look like one indeed.
After washing his face, Long Fei instructed Wu Kui to thoroughly check the president’s office for any foreign objects and to arrange for the shattered glass to be replaced tomorrow.
Wu Kui, not knowing what had transpired, saw the signs of a struggle inside and guessed that the brilliant and mighty boss had engaged in a fight there.
He quickly agreed, ordering an immediate inspection of the office.
Long Fei had no time to linger, worried the female assassin might target Lin Yingying, so he hurriedly caught a taxi back after leaving the building.
It was already past one in the morning. When he returned, the doors to his house were all locked.
The keys were in his bag, which he hadn’t brought with him.
Ultimately, he climbed over the wall to get in, finding no lights on in all three floors of the house.
He went up to the third floor and knocked on the bedroom door.
There was no response from inside for a long time, which made Long Fei’s heart sink, fearing something might’ve happened to Lin Yingying. He used a palm strike to burst open the door lock and enter.
The living room light was on but both women were missing.
He first entered Lin Yingying’s bedroom, rudely bursting through the door.
The two women inside jolted awake, tumbling out of bed.
As the bedroom light turned on, Long Fei’s gaze met the two women’s.
Both sisters, it turns out, slept without nightgowns.
Their blanket slipped down, revealing their pale bodies, and they stared blankly at Long Fei for a while.
Only then did they react, grabbing their pillows and hurling them at him.
"Bastard!"
"Pervert!"
They cursed softly from inside.
With a blush, Long Fei awkwardly stepped back and quickly shut the door.
