Long Fei talked about some details with Governor Zhang Yannian and it was pitch-dark when he returned to his room.

He entered his own room, an antique one-bedroom, one-parlor structure.

The middle was partitioned with a hollowed-out divide, and right at the entrance, there was a small array on the floor.

As soon as he stepped on it with his right foot, the Light Gathering Stone inside lit up immediately.

"You’re back."

Suddenly, a voice came from the bed, which would have surely scared an ordinary person to death.

Long Fei remained calm, walked past the partition, and stared at the girl sitting on the bed, "Why are you not sleeping and running to my room instead?"

It was none other than Ji Wanyu.

She smirked and asked Long Fei, "What were you discussing with the governor? Why did you come back so late?"
