Chapter 649: Chapter 630:

Michelle pulled Li Ruo aside, seemingly in a display of affection, but in reality, she did not want Li Ruo to disrupt their conversation. The matters to be discussed between Ye Chen and Obama were far too important; the fewer people who knew, the better.

"Let’s start the meal!" Obama didn’t seem to have any intention of talking right away. He smiled and said, "Ye Chen, today I’ve specially asked the kitchen to prepare some Chinese dishes. Let me know what you think? If they’re not good, I’ll have them make some changes!"

"No need!" Ye Chen glanced at the dishes on the table. They indeed looked good—stir-fried pork with peppers, then sautéed carrots... Each dish seemed to suit Ye Chen’s taste. Next to him, Li Ruo also broke into a smile. However, the two children were staring at the Chinese dishes and said, "I like carrots!"

The six of them sat down, and the meal was very jovial. After dinner, Michelle took Li Ruo to the garden, accompanying the children as they flew kites. Meanwhile, Obama went to the study room with Ye Chen for a private conversation.

"Do you think it’s good news or bad news?" Obama asked with a smile, looking at Ye Chen.

"Heh, eight or nine times out of ten, it’s good news!" Ye Chen replied with a light smile.

"Any reason?" Obama was taken aback, then looked at Ye Chen and said, "Very few people have the confidence that you have."

"If it were bad news, you could have just told me over the phone, no need for me to come back!" Ye Chen smiled, puffing on a genuine Cuban cigar, and continued, "Besides, you’ve been smiling all this while, and the eyes are the windows to the soul. Your eyes have already revealed your thoughts!"

"I never realized Mr. Ye was not only a military strategist but also a psychologist!" Obama laughed heartily.

"However, if you’re trying to win me over and then plan to negotiate terms, it won’t be that easy!" Ye Chen glanced at Obama. Obama was taken aback and then laughed, "Ha, it’s truly a shame that Mr. Ye didn’t go into psychology! You even know what I’m thinking! I’ll tell you straight up, Congress has agreed to our cooperation, but they’ve also made a few demands, hoping you’ll agree!"

"Go ahead!" Ye Chen nodded.

"First, the Heavenly Reversal Gang’s operations in San Francisco must be regulated by the local government; second, the Luo Sijue family must publicly advocate against the Church Court; third, the agreement is valid until the Church Court is destroyed. If it’s not destroyed, the cooperation remains valid!" Obama immediately laid out three conditions.

Ye Chen took a puff of his cigar and sneered, "Is the first stipulation targeted at me?"

"No!" Obama immediately gestured, saying, "We certainly don’t want the Heavenly Reversal Gang becoming the next mafia! I hope you understand that."

"Sorry, that’s not possible!" Ye Chen smiled faintly and said, "The affairs of the Heavenly Reversal Gang are not subject to regulation by your local government!"

Obama was startled, not expecting Ye Chen to so categorically refuse.

"Alright, we might be able to find a way to alleviate that issue!" said Obama with a wry smile, looking at Ye Chen. "The demands from Congress, I can only help to mitigate, but I can promise you that the Heavenly Reversal Gang can safely expand in San Francisco."

"Your word is enough for me!" Ye Chen nodded.

The conversation between the two shifted from an initial stand-off to a resolution and then slowly turned amicable. Obama laughed, "Stay at the White House tonight; there’s a fireworks show. I hope you have a pleasant night!"

"Thank you!" Ye Chen smiled.

Ye Chen and the President left the study room and headed towards the garden. They left the White House and saw others joyfully playing outside. Michelle and Li Ruo were flying kites with the children; one child’s kite soared high while another’s wouldn’t take flight.

The child threw down the kite and exclaimed, "I’m not playing anymore. This stupid kite won’t fly!"

"Maria, you must pick up the kite and make it fly!" Michelle said sternly to the child. "That’s your task for today, and you must complete it, or you’ll never understand the joy it brings!"

"Mom, there’s something wrong with my kite!" Maria responded helplessly.

"Wrong, nothing’s wrong with the kite; it’s you!" Michelle looked at Maria and said, "Look how happy and joyful your sister is. It’s all about attitude. You need to adjust your mindset. Come on, child, you must follow through with what you start. Mom loves you!"

Maria felt helpless and had no choice but to pick up the kite again and start flying it. Thanks to her and Michelle’s efforts, they finally got the kite soaring into the sky. Maria cheered excitedly, "Michelle, you’re so great! I’ve finally flown a kite! You are an amazing mother!"

Ye Chen and Obama watched from a distance. Ye Chen greatly admired Michelle’s parenting style: calm, rational, no excessive spoiling, and no undue blame. Ye Chen laughed, "You have a good wife!"

"No, the children have a good mother!" Obama shrugged his shoulders.

...

As night fell and grand fireworks lit up the garden of the White House, inside one of the guest rooms, a man and woman embraced in sleep. The woman was seductive and extremely enchanting. The man had sharp facial features and a strong physique.

"Xiao Ruo, isn’t it time you kept your promise?" Ye Chen smiled with a grin.

Li Ruo was startled for a moment, then instantly remembered the bet she had made with Ye Chen the day before. She blushed deeply and said with a shy smile, "Alright, I’m going to be yours sooner or later anyway, but you must not abandon me later!"

As a Chinese woman educated in the West, her heart still held traditional Chinese female values. She was open on the outside but very conservative deep down. She couldn’t help but consider her future.

"I’m too busy loving you to even think about abandoning you," Ye Chen embraced Li Ruo.

Li Ruo took a deep breath and said, "Then... let’s take a shower!"

"Sure thing!" Ye Chen immediately scooped Li Ruo into his arms and dashed into the bathroom. Li Ruo let out a yelp, "You scoundrel, I need to undress, don’t carry me like this!"

Then, as the two made their way, their clothes fell to the floor behind them. Entering the bathroom was the most nerve-wracking moment for Ye Chen, as he was about to have Xiao Ruo, the woman of his dreams, in his arms. At that moment, he felt like dedicating everything he had to her, including his life.

Once inside the bathroom, Li Ruo was left in just a thong and a half-cup bra. She covered herself like a startled deer, while Ye Chen watched her with hungry eyes like a wolf in grandmother’s clothing.

"Scoundrel, stop looking!" Li Ruo quickly turned away, but her shy action only made Ye Chen’s blood surge even more. Li Ruo’s figure was just too perfect, so perfect that Ye Chen didn’t know what to say, nor did he know how to express what he was feeling. Her body had almost no excess fat, and she did not seem overweight in any way.

It was that exquisite balance where any less would make her seem too skinny, and any more would make her seem chubby. Li Ruo’s buttocks were firm and perky in a way that ignited desire. The tiny thong was utterly incapable of covering her appealing behind.

From the side, Li Ruo’s chest stood proudly, especially highlighted by the half-cup bra, accentuating its proud peaks. Ye Chen took a deep breath; though he had seen Li Ruo’s figure before, she had always stopped him quickly. But this time, he could finally look at her unrestrainedly and intensely.

"Xiao Ruo, you are so beautiful!" Ye Chen couldn’t help but exclaim in admiration.

"Really?" Li Ruo smiled.

"Of course!" Ye Chen nodded immediately and said, "Right now, I can’t wait to devour you, without leaving even a little bit."

"Jerk!" Li Ruo glared at Ye Chen and said, "What, are you a cannibal?"

"Heh heh..." Ye Chen smirked.

Li Ruo turned on the hot water, letting it pour over her. Accustomed to showers, Li Ruo did not enjoy baths. For her, showering was a healthy habit, besides, who knew how many had stayed in this guest room—even though it was the White House and probably much cleaner than any hotel.

"Xiao Ruo, why... aren’t you taking your clothes off?" Ye Chen asked, puzzled.

"I don’t want to!" Li Ruo bashfully replied, casting a shy glance at Ye Chen, who became elated at her reaction, clearly an invitation for him to help her undress. Ye Chen grinned and said, "Since you’re too shy, I’ll help you!"

Saying this, Ye Chen moved forward to strip off the last two pieces of clothing Li Ruo had on. She immediately panicked, exclaiming, "Don’t, I... I don’t want to!"

However, no matter how Li Ruo struggled, Ye Chen still reached out his mischievous hands. He decisively pinched the clasp of her bra, gave it a gentle tweak, and the catch came loose. Li Ruo covered her chest, refusing to let her bra fall, but Ye Chen wouldn’t give up so easily. He reached out to tickle her diaphragm, causing Li Ruo to laugh and let go of her hands.
