Chapter 645: Chapter 626:

"If we had the support of the United States, to exert some force in combating the Church Court, that would be ideal. After all, the armed strength of the Luo Sijue family alone is not enough. Therefore, Ye Chen needs an ally. In such a short time, Ye Chen is unable to find one. As long as the Church Court does not infringe on anyone’s interests, no country will step forward to counter the Church Court. If we were to look, it would have to be in Europe, where the geographical distance is far too great, and moreover, it is the heartland of the Church Court, where it is impossible to shake their interests.

The United States holds its status in the world, and although it has always been labeled as imperialistic, its hegemonic position could not be shaken for a while. Therefore, to Ye Chen, American imperialism is a useful tool. If he could cooperate with the United States, perhaps he could confront the Chaikefu family and the Doomsday Family.

"What do you think?" Obama smiled as he looked at Ye Chen, leaning against a bookstand nearby, and then chuckled, "The Church Court has two major claws, the Chaikefu family and the Doomsday Family, and currently, only the Luo Sijue family can confront them. So, I want to ask you to come forward and oppose them!"

"Dealing with these two Hidden Families is no problem, but what about the Church Court?" Ye Chen laughed coldly. He would not fall for Obama’s trap; once he stirred up trouble, the situation would likely become unmanageable. Once war broke out, many issues would follow, and Americans loved to profit from such situations—the Second World War was a prime example. Ye Chen had already thoroughly analyzed the American mindset, so he would not fall into their trap.

Seeing that Ye Chen did not immediately agree, Obama decided to throw him a sweetener first, chuckling, "I can support you with one billion US Dollars, along with a variety of advanced weapons, enough to equip a thousand people. What do you think?"

"Money, my Luo Sijue family has plenty of it. Weapons, not only Americans have them, Russian gear might even be more advanced," Ye Chen replied with a smirk. "Leisure City Island is covertly guarded by dozens of advanced submarines purchased from Russia, I believe, with these submarines on underwater defense, they are enough to secure the safety of Leisure City. So, you might want to offer me something else!"

Ye Chen was not easily satisfied, especially when negotiating with the President of the United States; his demands grew even larger. Moreover, this time it was Obama who took the initiative to reach out to Ye Chen, who rushed over almost immediately upon receiving the call, pondering all the way on how to negotiate with Obama and what else to ask for.

Obama was stunned by Ye Chen’s response, suddenly finding himself at a loss. He slightly regretted inviting Ye Chen to the United States, yet the issues the United States faced now couldn’t be resolved without Ye Chen.

"So, what do you want?" Obama simply threw the question to Ye Chen. Ye Chen was a smart man, he knew what he needed. Rather than painstakingly pondering what to give, it was better to let the other party state their demands. If the demand was excessive, beyond his budget, he could refuse; if it was within his budget, there could still be room for negotiation.

"Open up California for us, Heavenly Reversal Gang needs a settlement in San Francisco," Ye Chen quickly seized the opportunity to state his demands. If Heavenly Reversal Gang could take root and rise swiftly in the United States, that would certainly be tremendous good news.

"No way!" Obama immediately objected.

"Then there’s nothing to discuss!" Ye Chen replied lightly with a smile.

"Wait a minute!" Obama quickly waved his hand, saying, "There’s still room to negotiate, everything can be discussed."

"My demand is simple, just what you initially promised, plus this!" Ye Chen boldly made his claim. Obama couldn’t help wincing at the bite— a billion US Dollars, plus equipment for a thousand people, and then the opening of California for Heavenly Reversal Gang to develop.

Obama hesitated for a moment. As he did, Ye Chen suddenly laughed, "You need to understand, the mafia is very powerful in the United States, and what’s behind the mafia? The Church Court—the mafia is truly the Church Court’s claw in the United States. Without eliminating it, there will always be a thorn in your heart!"

With those words, Obama’s heart opened up, as if enlightened by a ray of bright light.

"Alright, you’ve won!" Obama nodded and said, "If you were a politician in the United States, I think you would certainly be an excellent one!"

"Heh, you are much more excellent than me!" Ye Chen laughed lightly.

"Rest assured and stay here, I will try my best to persuade the Congress!" Obama chuckled, then personally poured Ye Chen a glass of wine, the two raising their glasses with a laugh, "Cheers, to our future victory!"

"Cheers!" Ye Chen lightly smiled.

The two raised their glasses invitingly and then gently clinked them. Ye Chen tilted his head back and drank.

"Ye Chen, where are you planning to go during this time?" Obama asked curiously.

"I’m going to check out New York!" Ye Chen responded with a smile.

"You’re not thinking about stealing our Statue of Liberty, are you?" Obama asked with a grin. Ye Chen flashed a smile and said, "Bringing that back wouldn’t be cost effective. I prefer the vaults in New York!"

"Ha ha, what a greedy young man, I like it!" Obama laughed heartily.

Afterward, Ye Chen dined inside the White House with Obama’s family, including Mrs. Michelle and Obama’s two children. Mrs. Michelle truly lived up to her role as the First Lady of the United States, dignified and beautiful. Ye Chen had a great time during the meal; Obama’s children clung to him, sharing stories about China.

Mrs. Michelle joked, "Ye Chen, I think you’d make a better father for them. Look how much the kids like you, they even like you more than their own father!"

"Michelle, I apologize." Obama put down his cutlery and, wiping his mouth, said with a smile, "I swear to God, I’ll take you and the kids for a vacation in Hawaii next week!"

"Really?" Mrs. Michelle was taken aback.

"Of course it’s true!" Obama nodded.

After the meal, Ye Chen left the White House. He stayed in Washington for another day before he hurried off to New York the next morning. For some reason, in New York, there always seemed to be a mysterious force pulling him, telling him that perhaps Xiao Ruo was in that bustling city. So deep inside, he told himself that he definitely should visit New York, or he would regret it.

At New York Airport, Ye Chen left with his bag. Obama’s cooperation still needed the approval of the United States Congress, so Obama needed to persuade the politicians to get their agreement.

New York is an extremely bustling city and the largest city in the world, located in the southeastern part of New York State, governed by New York State, and comprising five boroughs. As the economic and financial hub of the U.S., and its largest city and most populous port, New York occupies the top position among the four traditional "global cities," surpassing London. Its movements influence the world at every moment. As one of the largest metropolitan areas in the world, the core of the New York metropolitan area has exerted incredibly significant global influence in business and finance for over a century. It shapes global media, politics, education, entertainment, and fashion scenes, and is also home to the United Nations headquarters.

It was such a city that impacted the whole world.

Meanwhile, in a corner of this city on Wall Street, a tall woman with a Louis Vuitton bag was shopping. Li Ruo was strolling on the street. She had left China more than two months ago and had almost lost all contact with her home country. Now, Li Ruo was no longer managing her company’s affairs and had completely isolated herself from that world. However, this did not mean Li Ruo no longer cared about any matters related to Tianya Group.

In fact, Li Ruo was carrying out some investigations in New York concerning the future development of Tianya Group there. Li Ruo understood that the quickest way for Tianya Group to become a world-class corporation was to establish itself in the United States and then enter NASDAQ, which would certainly allow for extensive fundraising.

Her two months of investigation in the U.S. had given Li Ruo a good overview. Moreover, she had made the acquaintance of a group of renowned businessmen and celebrities on Wall Street. This had been Li Ruo’s greatest achievement in these two months. From them, Li Ruo learned many things, and they also promised that if Tianya Group decided to settle in New York, they would do their best to help.

Walking enthusiastically on Wall Street, Li Ruo felt waves of modernity. Compared to Jianghuai City, New York was much more bustling. Li Ruo thought to herself how wonderful it would be if one day Jianghuai City could develop to the extent of New York City. Perhaps that day would come, perhaps not. However, Li Ruo knew that she probably wouldn’t see it in her lifetime.

Holding a cup of milk tea and walking a white-furred dog through the streets of New York. Everyone hurried by, but Li Ruo strolled leisurely. Little Yezi trailed behind with his head hanging low, seemingly listless. Every day seemed repetitive, yet it wasn’t. Life was like an unpredictable movie; the next steps might be guessable, but the outcomes could always surprise.
