"Hello, are you at work today?"

Lin Fan’s words stunned Chang Wanyun for a moment: "You want to lease the land? If you need it, just take it. Why are you discussing money with me? Do we really have to be so formal about this?"

"Some matters need to be clear-cut, and besides, the land isn’t yours, it’s in Dazhu’s name. By leasing out the land and taking home the money, you’ll have something to show for it. One hundred and fifty thousand should be enough to clear the debts, and from now on, your job should be enough to support the family. Lin Fan had a reason for acquiring the land, which was for Zhu Dan’s new project. "Mayor Lin, you have a promising career in officialdom, why think about farming now? Even such a small amount of money tempts you?"

"I also want to diversify the types of crops in our town.
