Chapter 258: Operation "Break The Wall" [Part 1]

Hiro’s blind gaze rested upon the 20 feet wall in front of him, all shiny and smooth.

’Break the wall?’ he thought reminiscing General Anzai’s words, he didn’t see the need for these or why this was the focus of their training.

But something was off about this wall, he could feel it, the aura coming off it gave him the chills and deja vu? he couldn’t explain why.

"What is it, Hiro?" Anzai asked in a calm tone.

"Aren’t you gonna strike the wall? There’s no time to delay" the moment he said those words a timer came out of the wall just above, as it moved.

"You have 4 hours to strike the wall down"

’4 hours for a wall?’ Hiro thought deeply puzzled, something doesn’t feel right, but he knew he was just about to find that out.

He brought out a shrunk black stick from his pouch, it grew in height in a blink of an eye, with a wave it transformed into his sword, beaming in dark blue energy, from tip to handle, it is approximately five to six feet long, the body smooth, silver in color, the edge of the blade slightly slanted, the handle dark red in color, the edges of the handle extended, in a curve style, the center of the sword had a small round wheel embodied in it, spinning with an automatic start-up sound, powered by his blood.

’Just to strike the wall down’ he thought as he held unto the sword with two hands, stationed in his front. ’One hit will bring it down!’, his eyes instantly changed to his bio-genetics ones, the iris color changed to bright crystal blue like a diamond of mixed shade of light and dark with a hint of red lines in it, forming a crack moving around, the pupil darkens more and extended, the corners of his eyes going in thick veins.

Hiro took a deep breath, instantly like a zap of lightning he charged at the wall, he plunge his sword backward getting ready for a hit. ’Just one strike!’ he thought as plunging his sword forward, and then it slammed on the wall.

Suddenly a loud jamming sound of two iron’s could be heard, Hiro froze at the loud sound, as his body along with the wall went in a thorough vibration from head to toe directing straight back at him.

’Wha-’ before he could finish his thought he was slammed backward from the vibration, the pressure slamming his back against the wall, he hadn’t realized he was pushed that far off to the wall behind.

He gasped in pain as he lands on the ground hard, he placed his palm against the floor, forcing his body in his kneels, his hand, as well as his body, trembling.

"What’s happening?" he said as his hand continued to shake.

"What did you think Hiro... that this was just a wall to break?" Anzai said sternly his serious gaze on him.

Hiro paled at his words, he heard other jamming sounds and vibrations, it must be the others.

SHINO

Shino’s hand holding onto his bow fell to his side, his wide eyes on the arrow he shoot at the wall, it was just stationed there against it as it vibrates, how can a wall do such a thing?

Before he could blink, the arrow dispersed off the wall as it zapped back to Shino. With widened eyes, he ducks as the arrow missed his head and slams on the wall behind him.

He gulped, hard. What the fuck just happened, did the wall just backfired his own arrow at him?

"What did you think Shino... that this was just a wall to break?"

He turned to Anzai at his words.

"Wrong!"

YUKI

Yuki’s back slammed hard against the wall as she was forced backward from the force of slamming the wall with her twin katana’s. She lands on her knee as she sweated. ’That not a normal wall’ she thought for certain, a wall couldn’t do stuff like that.

"Seem you have figured it out, Yuki"

She turned to Anzai.

"Well then..." he began with a smirk.

"What are you gonna do about it"

MOSU

Mosu gave a loud yelp as his back slammed against the floor hard, knocking his breath away, his spear sliding in a corner.

He growled in pain.

"What the fuck was that!"

REN

Ren panicked as his ring sword bounced back to him and slammed close to his face, a line of blood against his cheek, his eyes shook.

"It came back at me," he said in shock unable to register what just happened.

RAIDEN

Raiden took a harsh breath, his palms against the floor, he turned to the wall behind him, the bullet he shot from his sniper gun came back at him, he was lucky he was able to dodge it in time.

He turned back to the strange wall.

"This is not an ordinary wall is it?" he said with shaky eyes.

Anzai smirks.

"Figuring that out now?"

Raiden gulped, hard.

MIRAI

Mirai forced her body up, holding onto her shoulder, taking harsh breaths. The moment she plunged her claw on the wall, she was thrown backward from the force. And then she knew just then, this wall was not ordinary, it was like it was made out of something other than the normal material’s used in building it, she was certain.

"That wall almost killed me!" Kaneki yelled with white eyes as he points at the bullet he shoot at the wall that was backfired.

Anzai chuckled.

"You said it was a piece of cake right?" he said in dark amusement.

Kaneki shivered from head to toe, the wall may be scary but Anzai was scarier.

"Well then, it ain’t too simple now, is it?"

"Tsk!" Sumi made a sound annoyed, her blood weapon was against the floor, she was lucky she wasn’t holding unto it, or else she would have been pushed backward along with it.

Something wasn’t right about this wall.

"Curious Sumi?"

She turned to Anzai.

"Curious why the wall is different?"

Her looks turned grave.

"I will tell you then..."
