Chapter 285: <ERASE> PART 3

Raphael’s POV:

’Weird, that man is very weird. To think he would leave a clueless man like me in front of a stranger’s room.’ He thought and reached the doorknob anyway since he was permitted to. Raphael was also confused about his name but he knew it was his name indeed. He could feel the name embodied deep inside his soul.

Without thinking much, he opened the door and a light lit automatically, revealing everything into light.

The smell, the floor, the ceiling, and even the books on the table seemed very familiar but he couldn’t remember where he had seen them. He just knew the room belonged to him.

’This room, it’s oddly familiar. Why do I feel like I also missed it? I feel like I was asleep for a very long time.’ Suddenly, he noticed a small device on the table and picked it up. Since he was the demigod of craftsmen, he knew how to turn it on.

But the moment the device turned on, he was surprised. It was a video recorder he used secretly to record things.

But it was a big file so he sat on the edge of his bed and let it play.

At the beginning of the recording, he was a small 8-year-old boy who was planning to break through the wall and leave the dimension. But the plan failed after he was caught by Viktor, the man he sometimes addressed as father, but not in front of him.

There was a day when Raphael recorded in his daily recording before bed.

*Today, my dad told me an amazing story. He said there was a god who was in control of the god of dungeons. He suffered so much and died after he created his best creation. But he seemed happy because he said the genius god would come back really soon. There are lots of gods he talks about but when he comes to him, he is sensitive and pays lots of attention. I wonder if that god has some particular connection to him because he says he is also a god.*

*Today, was my naming ceremony. I feel so exhausted but I think I am the happiest man that exists in this universe. I finally got my name. I am Raphael V. North. My father gave me the surname that I asked for and I am really happy!! Also, my father is indeed a god, and I am the demigod of craftsmen. Not a god yet because becoming a god takes a long time. Also, I saw a mortal for the first time and I can clearly say we are indeed different from them. We are really immortal beings. Man, my dad is really the coolest person in the world...*

*Coolest, my ass! I wanted to go outside but he refused!! He said I can’t go outside and see the outside world and the mortals because it’s dangerous! Why would it be dangerous since we are gods? We can literally kill anyone with a flick of our fingers so why is he so worried about it? He said I am allowed to go when I reach 100. I mean, am I a child? 100 years is a damn long time!*

*After thinking for a long time, I think I yelled at him too loudly. It’s only 100 years and it’s not like we are going to die. We are immortal beings, we live forever. So, let’s wait for 100 and see what he does. I better go and say sorry to dad. Yeah, I still call him Viktor because I am too shy to call him dad. I will do it when he allows me to go outside.*

*Today, I sneaked into dad’s room. I guess I was pretty bored so I tried out new things out of curiosity. He often spends his time in his laboratory so his room is almost growing mold. Plus, he doesn’t lock his room like he does to his lab so today, I sneaked in and found out many interesting things.

First of all, I found out he had a friend named Astraeus Light, he was called Rae for short. He was my dad’s great-friend when he lived on Earth, I suppose? They had lots of pictures together on his phone. But I don’t know what happened to him afterwards. He also had three more friends called Mors Grimrose, Ifrit and Welis. I don’t know who they are because his phone had a little info about them.

Also, I found some interesting things related to dad. Apparently, he had 2 girlfriends and dated multiple girls in his college life? I don’t know what a college is called but he sure had a lady killer look. But none of them worked out because he was busy with his life, I guess.

I didn’t know gods were allowed to date.*

*Huge update!! Turns out, he was a mortal in his previous life! Anyway, I am grounded because I entered his room without permission and I was caught red-handed. Even so, it was worth the information I got! Dad was reincarnated 2 times before he finally turned into a god. He was a guardian in his first life! Anyway, he gave me his phone and it has tons of music, some anime shows that I am currently interested in. Also, he gave me access to something called manga. I am really into manga and I think I might become addicted to it!*

*Today is my 25th birthday. Just like every year, dad baked a cake for me and woke me up in the middle of the night. But this year’s birthday was a little different. Because today, he gave me access to a whole new room with a lot of things. They are all various types of metals and many other things from the mortal world.

I think he gave them to me because he doesn’t need them anymore. But I am happy because the room is super huge and he gave me permission to build anything in there.*

Raphael was in a daze. He knew those memories stored in the small device weren’t fake. They were taken from a long time ago throughout multiple decades. He knew his eyes could never lie and slowly, he remembered everything after finishing the whole recording.

He dropped his body on the bed and stared at the ceiling. A small smile escaped through his lips as he mumbled,

’To think the god he talked about all the time was me all along. I don’t remember every single detail from my past life as the nameless god but I do remember how that old man treated me for my creations.

And somehow, I died and Viktor started to take care of me, promising that he would take care of me, protect me and raise me until I turn 100 years old, the time all my memories come back.

So that’s why he never allowed me to go outside. Now I know why he kept me here. The memories I carry are very dangerous. If they fall into the wrong hands, the world, and the whole existence’s balance will crumble. But Viktor is different. He has never asked me to build anything for him. Instead, he will erase those things I made that are in someone else’s control and rotting heaven. He took me in to take care of me, gave me a name, and granted me everything I asked for except for going out. I think he is better than anyone. Heheh, as expected of my dad.’

But Raphael had no idea it was actually him who chose Viktor as his guardian and gave him the key to enter the main system. In the meantime, Viktor summoned Radium who was outside, stuck in the slow-going time in Viktor’s perspective. He then quickly gave him the key and told it to access the heavenly system while staying in the dimension room.

And at that moment, Raphael came out of his room and entered the kitchen area to discover another floating cat. But that wasn’t important to him at that moment.

Viktor noticed him and said, "You came back earlier than I thought. Take a seat, the cake is almost ready."

"Um, Viktor, thank you."

"Hum? That’s very rare of you to say that."

"I mean, dad. Thank you for protecting me for all these years."

Viktor turned around and looked at his face while taking out the cake from the oven. He then smiled and replied, "So you finally got the courage to call me dad, huh? Welcome back, kid."

"I’m happy to be here with you."

Viktor then served him the whole cake after decorating it and lit some candles on it for Raphael.

"Happy birthday, Raphael. I wish you to have a great life, become a great god, rule your massive territory and watch over the souls that live in the mortal world."

Raphael smiled and blew the candles out. And at the same time, Radium got access to the heavenly system and sent Viktor a telepathic message.
