Chapter 279: My name. Part 2
To fight a barbarian, you need to fight like a barbarian as well. That is the type of conclusion Viktor came up with after calculating the chances of his survival in the upcoming war.
The nectar potion was a mandatory element of his quick growth but the war was near. And there were too many things to complete while preparing for the war and then the tournament. His to-do list was already cramped with missions and other things.
So, he went inside his laboratory to short out things while taking care of the gruesome machine he built.
At first, he thought only metallic parts and his 4th system could take care of it. But seeing the drastic fall of the potion output made him super frustrated. There was no plan working as he hoped and nothing was working even after he followed so many unknown God’s records but suddenly, he thought of something else.
’Why don’t I creat Bio-AI?’
Cutting a tiny portion of his core, he made a single cell that had immorality and could calculate millions of mathematical equations in a nano-second. But to create the best and most effective way to calculate the process of making the potion, he had to make a heart to pump blood to circulate mana blood.
Of course, the imp was also bound to Viktor’s soul so it listened to everything he ordered and in exchange, it wanted some food and affection.
Because to the imp, emotion was a foreign yet interesting thing to it. At first, when it formed an eye which was bigger than a car, Viktor felt uneasy and wanted to destroy it. But after it opened its eyes and started to communicate using simple words such as ’food, sleep, rest and pain’, Viktor held back and decided to see how it grew.
Soon, the imp grew so much that it took half of the space of the laboratory from the floor to the ceiling. Its eyes were in the middle hanging to a lump of meat and the heart was stuck to the ceiling, creating a vibration all over its meaty body while pumping blood.
It was a creation that even Viktor never intended to make but somehow it happened. Since it had a drop of soul, it formed a record that nearly resembled Viktor’s but surprisingly, it created a link with Viktor’s record as if it was another part of him thinking independently.
After the link was fully formed, Viktor made some rules. The first one was human emotion.
Since the imp was a Bio-AI and a machine, Viktor never introduced it to the concept of emotion. The sole purpose of the machine was to create nectar potion. Adding emotion to a non-living being wasn’t necessary.
The second thing Viktor followed was to order plutonium not to introduce ’Magic’ to the machine. It was a Bio-AI so there was no way of knowing when it would start to think about creating new magic spells and demonstrate on its own.
And lastly, Viktor set various types of restrictions as well as some self-destructive spells so it could never think of escaping or betraying Viktor. So, he taught the machine the concept of pain, fear and death so it could follow him unconditionally and frightfully until his job was over.
So seeing Viktor’s presence in the room somehow made the machine feel fear but also productive. Its heartbeat rate increased after Viktor touched its half-metal body.
"Are you hungry?" Viktor asked and threw an infinite mana stone on the floor. Seeing the food, it grew a tactical limb and swallowed the stone to fill its hunger. But it was also trying to see Viktor with its huge eyes and figure out what Viktor was saying.
But the only thing it understood was hunger. The other words were unknown to him because the machine only knows numbers. It was already tired after recognizing the word ’hungry’.
It’s heartbeat rate dropped and soon, it fell asleep. And then, the 4th system Plutonium came out and greeted Viktor.
*Good evening, MASTER. How was your dinner?*
"Hmm. Did you organize today’s report?"
*Yes. I will now show you what the nectar machine calculated. Looks like we are short of one ingredient to build the potion. All the results show error and reporting that it is missing one unknown variable.*
"How is the machine so sure that we are missing one thing?" Viktor knew what was going to happen because he was constantly looking at his record to check whether the imp had attacked him or not. Also, he saw the future where the nectar potion recipe was missing one ingredient. And the most terrifying part was the existence of that one missing ingredient that is only found at the very bottom of somewhere he never thought of going.
Letting out a big sigh, he closed his record book and said, "Postponed the research and focused on the imp. We will cut some parts of his body and try to shrink its body size. It’s too big and uncomfortable even to look at."
Processing what Viktor just said, Plutonium replied, *MASTER, do you mean we are focusing on the imp?*
"Yes, make it as small as possible."
*The imp currently has 3 main organs. Eye, heart and memory cells. If we were to shrink its size, we might have to start with heart. The heart has selected the ceiling for good circulation to its eyes and the lower part of the body. We might have to make a new body frame that keeps the heart on the top.*
"That’s a problem, but I think there is a solution to this. Give the Bio-AI the data of the positive sides of a small body. Also, if he makes himself smaller, I will give him more food. If he doesn’t listen, there will be no food."
*Understand, MASTER. I shall proceed with your suggestion after it wakes up.*
Meanwhile in Lucifer’s territory in the highest heaven realm.
His servant came with a small letter from Kobayashi, a great god from the 3rd heaven realm. At first, he was surprised that someone from the 3rd floor sent him a letter but that letter also contained another letter from a god who just recently became a new god and had yet to participate in the succession tournament after a few thousands of years.
The curse Name put into him was no longer there so he could work and think with the cleanest mind and soul after a very long time. He was in a great mood but it wasn’t that great because Name was plotting something very big which could turn heaven upside down. There was a war to prepare for and he was already secretly arranging it with the help of Viktor and a small cube that would work only 66 times. This means he could only lift 66 god’s curse. So he had to choose carefully which one would gladly accept his invitation and wage war against Name and his opponents.
Seeing two letters, he was pretty happy so he opened the Black envelope with an orange gem to stick the seal. It had the name ’Adonis North.’
"Adonis North? Who’s this?"
**Hello Lucifer, the king god of all evil. I am Adonis North, the god of destruction. I believe your curse has already been lifted by Viktor North, my master. I heard the news from my servant who was previously aiding my master with his task. He has also informed me about your new friendship a few days ago.
Let’s get onto the main objective. My master must’ve planned something against Name, our natural enemy. He is currently on a quest and he will be in the heaven realm soon and immediately proceed with his plan. I also heard the news that my master is working with you so I believe it will be great if I join too.
I live near the border of the heavens so I can easily access those who are running Name’s errand. I will provide you with the intel I gather. In exchange, increase your army because there is no way of knowing when Name will attack.
I shall aid you along with Kobayashi and his loyal followers.**
"Adonis North, no wonder why the name seemed similar to Viktor. Turns out, Viktor had a servant that I wasn’t aware of. And a god? From what my memory is saying he only came here a few years ago. How was he able to become so powerful in a short time?"
’Well, that’s not what I should be thinking of right now. I should worry about Name. I am a king god and to think that I was under his curse. The same thing will be happening to other king gods as well. Should I try to contact my subordinates?
I think I should start working already. That Elesis bastard has somehow escaped out of that undead God’s surveillance and now he is in the underworld realm just as I predicted.
But I can’t predict what will happen after that. The future is split into so many ways that every way looks like a thin string of hair split into a thousand small strings. And they are all tangled up together.
From my calculation, the future splits into 71.76 trillion parts after Viktor comes to heaven after he finishes his quest. I heard he is a demi-god of all records so his future predicting skills are much greater than mine. That’s why Viktor told me to postpone the dinner party no matter what.
But I’m not gonna stop the dinner party because I have another plan.’
