Chapter 621: Chapter 621: Occupied a Special Place
After talking to Guan Kun, Ji Yang had returned to his original life. He did not pay much attention to the rebellions and spent his free time in jade mining areas absorbing special energy. His eyes had also improved further, allowing him to see special things invisible to outsiders.
At least now, Ji Yang could see various lights shimmering in the sky.
Sitting cross-legged on a mountain, looking at the sea of clouds ahead, Ji Yang had never felt such clear awareness of the world around him.
In the sea of clouds, there was an abundance of Spiritual Energy; it was just that many people didn’t get the chance to absorb it.
As he practiced his Cultivation Technique, Ji Yang significantly increased his accumulation of True Yuan.
Now, his daily routine was to come to this mountain early in the morning to devour the purple morning energy, which was, in fact, a very dense form of Spiritual Energy beneficial for increasing his cultivation.
He had just descended the mountain when his phone rang.
It was a call from Le Qin.
"Mr. Ji, we’ve discovered a very special place, and nobody knows what to do about it. Could you come and take a look?"
After asking for the location, Ji Yang agreed.
Protected by a team of soldiers, Ji Yang rode in an off-road vehicle.
Throughout the journey, gunshots rang out from time to time, but Ji Yang wasn’t too concerned about the bullets. Since the enhancement of his Divine Sense energy, he discovered that his thoughts could influence the movement of objects. Even when bullets were fired at him, a single thought could divert them.
After Le Qin’s forces had reformed, they reinstated the old name of the Liberation Front Army.
They had conquered this territory, recently defeating a power that was now likely being pursued.
It was a small town, sparsely populated, hidden deep in the mountains.
The vehicle finally entered along a very dilapidated road.
"Mr. Ji, thank you for coming. This road was created with a bulldozer, making it quite difficult to traverse."
Le Qin had already come forward to greet him.
"What exactly is the situation?"
"From what I heard, it involves witchcraft. I’m not sure about the specifics, but if it’s witchcraft, there are wizards in their army, which could negatively impact our next moves."
It was evident that Le Qin’s countenance changed when he mentioned witchcraft.
Ji Yang didn’t say much and followed the guide toward the central area.
The area was heavily guarded by numerous soldiers.
Ji Yang noticed a square house surrounded by high walls.
When someone pushed a certain spot, a door appeared.
Looking inside, Ji Yang saw a special device in the middle with flames burning above and knives encircling it, each with thick candles burning on them.
He also noticed bloodied heads placed above those knives.
Turning to Le Qin, not only his but the faces of several others had turned pale.
Ji Yang didn’t enter directly but opened his Heavenly Eye to look inside.
To his surprise, the place was crammed with various ghostly beings invisible to the naked eye.
Real ghosts?
This was truly the first time Ji Yang had clearly seen ghosts.
These ghosts were not as simple as those depicted in movies; a mere glance at them was hair-raising.
Holy shit!
Though Ji Yang was a cultivator, he felt chills all over his body when he saw them for the first time.
Each of these ghostly figures held a bloodied knife as if ready to strike.
More importantly, Ji Yang saw several energy lines stretching out from inside, binding them to Le Qin and his men.
Looking at those standing beside Le Qin, Ji Yang noticed that their vital essence had diminished compared to before.
With his ability to use the Heavenly Eye to see things, he now clearly saw the Divine Sense energy being stripped away inside Le Qin and the others.
If their Divine Sense energy were entirely devoured, they could die or become soulless bodies.
With this discovery, Ji Yang keenly observed again.
It had to be said; this technique really was something.
However, it was useless for Ji Yang now. He believed it would only take one strike from him to sever the threads connecting Le Qin and his men.
No wonder Le Qin and his men looked so troubled when discussing this issue!
Ji Yang had pinpointed the source.
Yet, one thing made Ji Yang curious—could there really be a wizard?
Ji Yang became interested in the wizard as well.
Initially just coming for a look, Ji Yang now wanted to find the wizard and learn more about witchcraft.
After all, Ji Yang was practicing alone, and as a novice in cultivation, if there were someone to help explain things explicitly, it would naturally be beneficial for him.
