Chapter 583: Chapter 583 Class Activity
On the grass in front of Ji Yang and their dorm, six tables had been set up in a row.
Ji Yang couldn’t figure out how Ji Fengcheng and the others had managed to get them, and he even suspected they had moved all the tables and chairs from a particular shop.
Of course, Ji Yang didn’t have time to think too much about it now, as the whole class, including the class teacher, had been invited to what was described as a class activity.
All Ji Yang could do was make sure the medicinal ingredients for each pot were properly matched.
Seeing Ji Yang brewing the medicinal ingredients, the class teacher, Mrs. Lichun, curiously said, "I had no idea Ji Yang was skilled in brewing medicinal cuisine!"
"Teacher Xun, you really have no idea, Ji Yang can do a lot of things. He even cured Chu’s chronic leg condition, and he solved Old Zheng’s kidney problem as well."
"What are you talking about, what kidney problem of mine?"
Everyone immediately burst into laughter.
Ji Fengcheng laughed and said, "Ji is a talented person. Though no one voices their feelings, just by seeing how they rush to ask Ji every day to brew that health liquor, you can tell they all admire him."
Everyone unanimously agreed that Ji Yang’s medicinal liquor was excellent.
Of course, no one would admit that they had sought out Ji Yang individually to ask him to brew medicinal liquor just for them.
The guests began to eat and drink amidst laughter and banter.
Soon, many people inside the party school became aware of what was happening here. While the ordinary students were merely curious, more teachers were inquiring about the nature of the event.
What Ji Yang did not know was that the news of his medical skills had also started to spread.
Of course, this was all by design on Ji Yang’s part. Since he had such abilities, he needed to utilize them as much as possible. The students here were by no means ordinary, and even though they might seem to have minor positions in their respective units, their collective strength was formidable.
Having come up from the grassroots, Ji Yang was accustomed to many things and was not at all pretentious in conversation with the others. Soon, Ji Yang’s witty remarks also drew more attention from his fellow students.
As they drank and ate, they began to discuss national affairs, something usual for people at their level.
Zhan Guohong, a senior official from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, looked at Ji Yang and asked, "Ji Yang, you’ve been to Myanmar; you should be familiar with the situation there, right?"
Ji Yang replied, puzzled, "I spent some time in Myanmar and do know quite a bit about it, what’s been happening there lately?"
"A lot of things have been happening there."
Chu Wuping said, "Quite a few things indeed. Several hydroelectric plants were built there, but now they’re facing problems that have stalled the work. By the way, Ji Yang, when you went, wasn’t it to deal with a project in South Dian?"
Ji Yang recounted the events that happened after he arrived there, choosing to share only trivial matters.
Even so, everyone listened with wide eyes.
"You mean to say it’s chaotic there, and you could lose your life if you’re not careful?"
Ji Yang nodded, "Several people have died, but before I left, the South Dian projects were without issues."
"That’s right, the South Dian projects are considered the safest there so far, with no problems. However, there’s been a rise in telecom fraud."
Everyone turned their attention to Zhan Guohong, intrigued about this telecom fraud.
Zhan Guohong said, "Some forces there have set up so-called industrial parks. Once they lure people from our country over, they can do as they please, even engaging in organ trading and the like. In a short time, those forces have swelled in power, and now it’s causing headaches for everyone up and down the ranks. Measures will probably need to be taken."
Everyone had a moment of realization upon hearing this, understanding that the issue was not something ordinary people could manage and likely involved a multitude of factors.
Upon hearing this, Ji Yang thought it might be time to make a phone call and inquire about the situation. It had been a long while since he last made contact, and while they did report some information to him, it was important not to be passive.
Zhan Guohong then looked at Ji Yang again, "I heard that the higher-ups want to send some officials familiar with the situation over there."
Everyone instantly looked at Ji Yang, knowing that Zhan Guohong’s words were probably not idle talk. Since he mentioned it, action was likely to follow.
Ji Yang was also stunned for a moment; he hadn’t anticipated this development. Yet, in his heart, Ji Yang was indifferent—after all, he was no ordinary man now.
